Ce tendre concerto vient à point nommé pour fêter nos 57 ans de mariage du 2 Juin 1966...Merci à l'Orchestre , à sa brillante Chef et au talentueux maestro du Pianoforte...!🥰💞💕
a lot of people are cynical and nasty about Brendel, but I discovered this concerto from Brendel and Academy of St. Martin in the Fields conducted by Neville Mariner, and that will always be my gold standard in this concerto. Lief Ove Andsnes is undeniably great, but everything he plays has a Bergmanesque dark moodiness to it, as if the sweetness and joy and light that are the main mood of this piece were some kind of a put-on, or ironically or sarcastically intended. "Lighten up!" The Brendel/Marriner approach sparkles and dances as if in the clouds. Yes, you get certain dark dissonant episodes in this piece, but those are like some grey clouds adding depth and contrast to a blindingly bright blue sky. Too dark, heavy, ponderous here. It isn't late Beethoven, late Brahms, late Chopin.... and definitely not Schubert. It's Mozart as his most effervescent. Middle movement another story, but that doesn't contradict my point.
Leif Ove Andsnes is my favourite Pianist of his generation. His performances are always exquisite, nuanced and virtuosic.
The performance of the pianist and the orchestra was simply extraordinary. Congrats to all of you for this well dignified Mozart
I love the tranquility and energy of Mozart, building and transitioning so elegantly. I loved to play Mozart when I was younger and studied piano ❤

The spontaneity in this performance is missing!! If the freshness is neglected will Mozart be more boring to listen than other composers!!
Could you please add the name of the orchestra? Thank you.
It is Bergen Philharmonic
Seconda "ingenuità" mozartiana: incanto, stupore, stato di grazia.
