Esthere Wamgall, don't know from which country you are, but here, in embattled Ukraine, after listening to this concert, I was going to make the identical comment - until I saw yours. Thank you for expressing it so beautifully.
Wonderful interpretation by Maria Joao Pires of this seminal work by Mozart, written when he was only 21, with an innovative (contrary to contemporary convention) very early introduction of the solo instrument, the piano, right after the opening bars, which Beethoven later adopted in his fourth and fifth piano concertos. What is also innovative is the degree of interchange and sharing of melodies, between piano and orchestra. Really wonderful.
Divinamente hermoso! Bravo!!!
Thank you so much Maria, I really really enjoyed watching you play with such passion and sensitivity and I’ve never heard you before, but, I really really be looking out for you again. Please stay safe and well too

I think Maria looks great with the shorter haircut. Personally, I think she has actually gotten even better during the past 20 years. Oh the second movement; it gets me every time. It sounded great with the legendary concert grade Model D Steinway piano. Thanks for posting this video. Stay safe and healthy.
Oh yezzzzzz fans, you can bet on it, music is my very favorite anti aging beauty medication, you can try it more often because we deserve to double the human life expectation fans, Mozart was a wonder kid, he used to entertain powerful men since he was just a boy, but his childish nature never left him, beyond age he loved to remind powerful men, take good care of kids and still today it's an impossible concept to be explained fans, think about it Ok? Supporters like me are always here by your side to encourage you.. let's give human existance a better use and live longer because Mozart wanted so
I began taping my dad's LPs for my Walkman in 1981. Through college and into adult life I listened to all the mozart concerti, between 3 and 12 recordings of each, some of them dozens of times. This one, K450, K453, K466, K467, K491, and K503 I have each heard well over 100 times. I dropped what I was doing and listened, sometimes sitting in the car to finish a movement before taking the groceries in. None of that time was wasted.
This was the piece with which Alfred Brendel ended his performing career. It always intrigued me why he chose an early Mozart concerto - until I heard it.
To me, it's clear that he chose this concert because maybe it's even better than his last piano concerts and certainly one of the most beautiful. I LOVE IT since I first heard it, many years ago.
Rita!J hope you're still with us,very important witness of all that should be going on, remaining for ever .You give us courage for the fighting for it
💞 The Adantino in particular touches my heart very much. But all in all, the whole concert is a very emotional experience...💞
It seems the name "Jeunehomme" is not a legitimate subtitle to this beautiful concerto. Below is an excerpt from an article by Michael Lorenz which explains how this came about "Musicological Trifles . . . " Nov 14, 2014. "No "Miss Jeunehomme" ever existed . . . . The nickname of Mozart's piano concerto K. 271 has been corrected to "Jenamy" since my discovery in 2004 of the identity of the person for whom Mozart wrote it. . . ."Jeunehomme" is a fantasy appellation invented by Théodore Wyzewa and Georges de Saint-Foix . . . to a pianist whose real identity they were unable to determine. Jenamy (Victoire Jenamy [1749-1812]) . . . is what the real woman who commissioned and premiered the work was actually called . . . .

Maria conducts simply, the beautiful linguistics of the hands and fingers. And, more...
