I would admire your piece and run my fingers through it forever!! Love the tapestry effect! Incredible beauty!! Thanks for mentioning me😊I find myself thinking of you all during my day,too and this brings a smile on my face❤thank you! Hoping for a better world!
Hi Christine. I really enjoyed watching you stitch this. I’m going to try thread painting on my stitch the season piece. I feel like I have a better understanding of how it’s done now. Thanks for sharing. ❤️💕🙂
I’m new to thread painting. I don’t have the great collection of threads and fabrics that you and Corrine have, for instance. My threads pretty much consist of stranded threads like DMC or Anchor, from years of embroidery and cross stitching, so my thread painting takes time and patience. I’m also new to slow stitching and have well and truly caught the bug. Thanks to stitchers like you I’m learning and improving.
Thank you so very much Lynn - really happy that you enjoy sharing some stitching time with me - I know I value the community of stitchy folks that extends across the globe 💙🧵🪡🌏
Looks lovely. Such a good array of colors. Agree about not watching world news, it just brings me down. I’m focusing on trying to keep my energy up and positive (for my own health) but also to hold it strong in the world. There’s such an enormous amount of pain in the world and it is devastating.
Thank you for the lovely comment Christina and it is good to hear that you are looking after yourself and your well-being. I also like your idea of how that too benefits others we interact with and our wider community. Cheers, Christine 💛
Hi Christine, God bless 🕊your saying what yours and the rest of our hearts are feeling for humanity worldwide💞 I spend a lot of time praying. Today while watching you I am binding a quilt, by hand of course lol. Love the thread painting! Have a wonderful day💓🌸
Hello Christine I do absolutely love your videos long and short. This morning I was making a pot of sauce and meatballs for family dinner. the video was perfectly long enough that I got it all put together while you’re keeping me company now I’ll sit down and watch it again at a later this evening and stitch along ….thank you for sharing ….I also pre-ordered the Fleur Woods book but I don’t think it arrives in the US for a little bit yet maybe a month or so…
Hello lovely Ellie - it brings me joy to hear that I was able to join you in the kitchen and your family is indeed fortunate to have such a delicious meal cooked for them. It will be so exciting to receive our Fleur Woods books 💛 cheers, Christine
This is such a beautiful effect Christine, planning to try this technique myself later, so it's really interesting to see how you do it. I know how you feel about all the awful things happening in different parts of the world, there seem to be so many just recently, whether natural disasters or man-made, it's heart-breaking and as you say very distressing just to watch, let alone go through it, but you do have to look after your own well-being as well. I must say that most of the time I shut myself away from the world these days. This piece looks so pretty, think I will try something like this to make a cover for the little book of stitches I want to make following along with your alphabet of stitches xo
Hi Christine from British Columbia, Canada. I really enjoy your work, especially today. I’m just learning thread painting. You make it look so easy but I’m struggling as I’m to impatient.
Thank you Annie - our craft rooms or craft spaces are a sanctuary away from the craziness and sadness of the world. And I like to think that when we can create beauty and share our art with our communities with love and care then that will send out ripples of goodness into the world. I look forward to seeing your thread painting and other creations. 💛 Christine
Hi @patmcewen9044 - thank you so much for your lovely comment. Thread printing definitely takes time but when it all comes together at the end it is really thrilling. Cheers, Christine
Love watching your thread painting. It reminded me of a piece I had started some time ago and had set aside for awhile. Just picked it back up and stitched along with your video. Thank you for the inspiration. My heart also breaks for all the innocent people affected by the violence in the world and natural disasters. So much pain out in the world, but there is also so much kindness out there too. I like to think that any morsels of love and kindness put out in the world will multiply.
Thank you Kim for your reassuring thoughts and compassion for others. And it makes me happy to know that you stitched along on your own thread painted piece while watching. Our stitching community really is very special and precious 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
Christine, thanks so much for the shoutout. You’re so generous in so many ways. 😊 I love this, your thread painting puts mine to shame but I’m doing my best. Love how you overpainted the blue to help it match. Also love how you’re bringing this blanket back to life again. I was going through clothes in my closet, sorting all the ones that are way too baggy on me now, and I have a huge trash bag plus a large paper gift bag full. It’ll feel good to get those out of the closet. You kept me company. Now I’m trying to figure out what to thread paint next and choosing the threads - the hardest part for me. Still watching and gathering inspiration! Hugs.
Happy I was able to keep you company while doing your closet sort and also look forward to seeing your thread painting. Cheers my friend, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Lovely work. ❤ you will enjoy working with Fleur, I did her first online course and it has changed the way I do my work now, everything is much freer than before.😊

Hi Candice - you definitely don’t need specialist threads and your floss will work great. Always good to use what you have at home. Cheers, Christine
Thank you for showing the treadpainting, love it! I learn a lot from your videos
That is very kind of you to say and thank you for sharing in my stitching adventures 💛 cheers, Christine

The dense lace background is very effective.
