Love Aquaclear hob’s. They are the best. Recently I started putting a sponge over the intake. Why? It has helped me not having to clean the hob as often plus I feel the good bb goes through the sponge to the hob without all the debris of loose plants, etc. call me crazy but it works for me.

I’m pretty sure the aqua clear 70 comes with a little white sponge and some biological filtration, but I feel as it may not be enough. So I was just wondering what you recommended. Edit: I just saw that they sell more of the white sponge foam in a 3 pack. Do you think if I were to get that and add two sponges and 1 bag of the biological filtration would be good enough?. Thanks
