5:19 given Nakamura's record, there is a 50% chance he would also promote to a knight, except then he'd successfully checkmate his opponent

A moment to appreciate the human analysis Ben gives; I saw this game on that One UA-cam Chess Channel and, yeah, I get very little value out of a guy reading deep engine lines to me.

I know which channel you mean and I couldn't agree more. In fact, I couldn't agree agadmator.

Thank you for articulating why I find some channels painful to watch compared to others

I like both, Agadmator did an excellent long series of videos on Morphy which is a particularly good journey through that chess history, even if you don't value the engine assisted analysis the actual games and number of them being included in the history is pretty valuable, at least presented in video form. You can probably find them online and play them out yourself by clicking the next move button but its very dry and boring that way, and you miss tactical gems that an engine or a grandmaster could find for you.
I can get the criticism of the every day video but definitely check out his morphy series. Skip ahead to the actual game if you don't need the history lesson, watch Morphy's genius unfold. Worth a look even if you're not the biggest agadmator fan, just due to the wealth of Morphy's genius on display.
Ben has covered some of Morphy, quite extensively, but nowhere near this extensively.

This comment is for Ben who politely asked at the end of his video. Thanks for the content Ben.

Nakamura with a knight is only slightly less dangerous than him with a queen.

Great video! Loving how the men’s is turning into a close race. Women’s looks like the gap might be too big to close now

Chess engines have only given me one useful idea. And that is , it would be an advatage to me to use my android during a chess game.

I like you as a teacher Ben but maybe, just maybe, trim your daily 'caffeine' dose down a bowl or line. We shouldn't be able to hear the smacking and clicking of your dry mouth and tongue from over 2000 miles away. Just fyi. Bad example for the kids.

I feel like you might be the only person in the world that noticed or cared about this. No idea what kids have to do with a dry mouth, either. This guy talks for hours on streams for a living in between making videos like this, that might explain a dry mouth. Talk for several hours and even drinking constant water won't immediately turn directly into saliva either, so your mouth gets dry really fast even after drinking water.
Bizarre pet peeve to have. Even more bizarre to tie your hang up to a question of morality that doesn't exist.

I can't speak for Ben, but I have a condition (type 1 bipolar disorder) which means I have to take a certain class of antipsychotic drug to keep a relatively even keel. One of the major side effects involves progressive involuntary facial tics, lip smacking, grimacing, etc.
I have no idea if this is the case with Ben, no doubt there are dozens of possibilities. But you don't know either, so calling it out on social media isn't the best form. Just my opinion 🤷‍♂️
