- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said "Ukraine is alive and kicking" in his address to a joint meeting of Congress on Wednesday night. "It's a great honor for me to be at the U.S. Congress and speak to you and all Americans. Against-against all odds and doom and gloom scenarios … Ukraine is alive and kicking," Zelenskyy said, adding that the "Russian tyranny has lost control over us." His speech to Congress comes as U.S. lawmakers work to pass a $1.7 trillion government spending package that includes $45 billion in assistance for Ukraine.

Former tanker here, as someone who has seen and experienced the war itself, I just would like to say that the Ukrainian people are giving a war for their existence and unfortunately, I personally feel ashamed when I see the laughable numbers of the military equipments an the vehicles sent to "support" Ukraine, especially the air defense systems during these very days. Their cities are being bombed, not only the line of contacts, their cities, their capital, all of'em. Just imagine you are having dinner with your wife, your family, your children and no matter where you are, where you live in the country, all of a sudden cruise missiles start falling to your neighbourhood, your house from miles away.
Ukrainian people are fighting the evil itself. The size of the evil is about a continent, 74% larger than the United States.
The number of the air defense systems sent is very, very low. Please raise your voice and ensure the necessary help is sent to Ukraine.

When Russia couldn't win on the battlefield it rained missiles and Iran-supplied drone attacks on Ukraine's grid. Millions there are without power, heat or running water.

Zelensky please ask US to accommodate the Ukraine refugees first before spending billions in weapons. First get the people out to the US for safety and humanitarian grounds. The US is magnanimous, they will accommodate Ukrainian refugees, they will be more safe....
