Jack L I’m pretty sure the cast members used to wear heavy eyeshadow and makeup and they actually acted soulless, like they weren’t exactly there. After my recent visit to Disney world last week, it seems the cast members are acting lively, actually like normal people. It put me out of the atmosphere.
for me, i can do drop towers just fine because its just sit down and go but this had a story to it and it just builds up fear before the drop, i love it
Okay, fun story (keep in mind: i was 9): So, my mother forced me on this. And you know that part when u have to watch a video in a room (it’s like that in paris), if not: you have to stand on a carpet and watch a vid that tells you the storyline. So this employee walks around the room slowly, it’s dark, and out of a sudden i hear a soulless ‘hello’ in my left ear. I was already scared to death and i thought it was my mother first. So i look to my right and hit my mother for scaring me. She tells me to look around and then, oh then. I look to my left and see this man staring into my soul! I jumped and screamed. This man couldn’t keen his laugh in and laughed with the rest of the group.😂
“Oh my god Jason!! What the hell??” 😂😂😂 When I was a freshman my mom took me to Disney World. I love Twilight Zone and was ecstatic when I found out about this ride. We rode it like 6 times in a row because the line was short. I really hope to ride it again some day. This brought back memories thank you

I was so scared to go on this ride a couple years ago, I eventually pulled up the courage and stood in line, I was shaking like hell. Then I eventually got into the cart (dying on the inside) and it was all thanks to my brother, the ride had its first drop, and I LOVED IT. I had the time of my life on this thing. Then afterwards, I went on it, 4, more, times. And that’s the story of the first time I ever went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Orlando. Edit: Something that happened on the third time on. There was this little (5 year old) kid in front of us, he was in his dad’s arms. He looked so happy and exited because his father got him to ride it so he could as well. As we were waiting to get into the elevator, he broke down. Screaming and crying, the whole shabang. Then we entered the elevator, he was still crying, his dad tried to enter the seat and get him in his seat. After about 5 to 7 minutes of crying, screaming, and kicking his dad his dad says, “I think we will miss out on this one.” And I will never forget what this cast member said, it was legendary, he says, and I quote, “If you need any help, or you are scared, just scream like he did.” And the ride began. BEST CAST MEMBER EVER. I will never forget you.

Amen! Rode this at night today and my group in the elevator were hyping each other up before the drop. We all got along screaming & laughing. Then at the end, we all clapped and smiled. This ride really brings strangers together, very sad that Cali Adv. re-skinned it to Galaxy /:.
We have a rollercoaster where I come from in which 2 sides battle, water and fire and randomly one of the two wins. Funny thing is both sides always converse and clap when a side wins and its actually a really fun experience.
@@collynjones7708 YES MA'AM I DID. He was absolutely amazing and I planned to go to his tour with Lewis Capaldi until the whole COVID thing happened. And thank you for complimenting my taste in men. I'm a fan of Tom Holland as well :D
I was once playing the audio from this ride with the voice over about the passengers in the most uncommon elevator, while on a regular elevator with people on it. Funny thing is when it got to the part where it says the 5 people stepped into an elevator nightmare, the regular elevator stopped at a floor and people were getting on.
IM THE SAME WAY. my parents told me this ride was just a tour of an old hotel and they don’t know that I’m watching this video so when we go there I’m gonna have a panic attack because I already know we are going on a drop and I’m not unsuspecting
I've been trying to find this video for so long. I'm so happy right now. The Jason part is just so funny. Adding it to my favorites so I don't lose it again.
Oh I screamed. I've rode some pretty big coasters and rides before, but this ride is just intense, there's no getting around that... It really is a one-of-a-kind ride, and it's an amazing ride that I hope stays for a long, long time, but there's no way on Earth you could get me to ride it twice in one day. I can only take going into the 5th Dimension once...
@@cindypicadomolina7814 it's the point of the ride. It's a dropper, it's how they work. Als it's called Tower Of *TERROR* Of course you're gonna feel that way.

@@DuelKingYami same..I couldn't breathe on the way down..I could only scream at the top..my body was shaking I thought I was gonna die..I was so scared..my parents lied and told me it was a simulation..it wasnt
Hands down one of the best rides in Disney history, I went on this for the first time when I was like 5 and I STILL remember it and I'm 29 now, MGM Studios was always one of my favorite parks
This ride is amazing. The story, the engineering, and everything else is beautiful. But 4:18. That is easily the best part. The buildup, at this point, has left the riders in suspense. They *know* they're gonna fall eventually. But they don't know when. But once they hear the noise at 4:18, they quickly realize that it's time to go.
My exact thoughts when I rode this. I was so scared for when we were gonna drop but as soon as I heard that my heart dropped because I knew what was about to happen
I rode it blind without seeing someone else ride it first and it scared me when we dropped because I was not expecting it but after the first drop the other ones were fun
Rode this for the first time yesterday, and honestly I have to say that this ride lives up to the name. Even holding and being buckled in, I still felt as if I was going to fly out of my seat
For me I was forced onto Splash Mountain when I was young and would ride no roller coasters, or any fast rides. My mom said she would let me do the kids waiting area, but then right when my family was getting on she forced me on the ride saying “their making us get on.” It was the worst and most traumatic moment I can remember, and my family has a framed picture of the drop, and it reminds me of the absolute terror I experienced.

this makes me so happy. I miss going on this ride when I was little and being super scared. This video is so lively and everyone seemed connected. Everyone was happy with eachother, and was laughing. What good memories. I love disney
Incredible footage. What an amazing feat of engineering and storytelling for a ride that opened in 1994?! The way the elevator cars creepily move by themselves in/out of the elevator shafts.....fantastic :)
Was tricked onto this ride when I was around 8 or 9, and watching this is bringing back so much trauma and anxiety. Only at the start of the video and all I can think is "I wanna get off" lol
@@ethankleinman1067 if they ever get rid of this ride, they might as well change the name of the park because calling it "Hollywood Studios" without Great Movie Ride, Studio Backlot Tour, and the Hollywood Tower Hotel won't make sense at all lol.
Im terrified of this because if the ride broke you wouldnt know. You could be unknowingly plummeting to your death and you would just think its how the ride works
One Squarey Boi actually nah, you would feel it slow down in a weird way. It pulls you down faster than gravity, so it would actually slow down a little and then you would just hit the bottom and die instantly, so not really that big of a deal.
i will never forget when i rode this ride, it was such a hot 2 hour wait in sunny florida, and the door opened at the top of the ride looking onto the park and it was pouring rain. it felt like magic
Sometimes people don't inform their companions about the full ride, either because they know they won't go on it otherwise or because they wanna freak them out and in rare cases, they don't realize they are this bad.
go to Orlando. The one in Cali was only the drop part of the ride anyway. On a side note, there is a version of the ride where the window breaks during the last video. If it does, you get launched back up for a full distance drop without pausing at the top. Supreme weightlessness.
I was sorta internally screaming the entire time while waiting in line for this ride, having just seen the warning poster say 'sudden drops' which usually didn't mean anything good. Looking back on it, I'm surprised I didn't actually scream the entire time. I also kept on feeling my shirt flying upwards. I don't really remember much else because it was pretty dark, but I did get to see the entirety of Hollywood Studios from that window. I was also a bit creeped out by how none of the cast members spoke, they just motioned us through except for the one who came in to check our yellow straps.
the tower of terror is my favourite disney ride, not because of the ride itself but because of the creepy story behind it and the brilliant architecture of the lobby and basement
Indeed. The amount of effort put into the Tower of Terror, really selling the backstory and making you feel as if you’re really there, is among the best in all Disney Parks in my honest opinion.
I love the details Disneyland puts into its lines. There's usually a thing or two that's interactive, and on this one if you put your ear to the wall in the right place you could hear a little girl crying for help. Very spooky.

When your in a ride and you all laugh and start talking
It feels like a family

Scary rides. Bringing people together like nothing else can.

I know, the first time I rode this I was somewhat terrified 😆
My exact thoughts when I rode this. I was so scared for when we were gonna drop but as soon as I heard that my heart dropped because I knew what was about to happen
I went on it for the first time last night. It was but scary asf
I rode it blind without seeing someone else ride it first and it scared me when we dropped because I was not expecting it but after the first drop the other ones were fun
Is this something like Phantasialand Tower of terror or Mistery Castle
So this is how we’re living in quarantine
Rode this for the first time yesterday, and honestly I have to say that this ride lives up to the name. Even holding and being buckled in, I still felt as if I was going to fly out of my seat
Why did so many people’s parents force them on this ride-
In the words of Quentin Tarantino. Because it's SO MUCH FUN Jan
i was 7 when i was forced on it it was horrible
@@lukasbeck4421 but forcing them is only so much fun for the parents 😅
For me I was forced onto Splash Mountain when I was young and would ride no roller coasters, or any fast rides. My mom said she would let me do the kids waiting area, but then right when my family was getting on she forced me on the ride saying “their making us get on.” It was the worst and most traumatic moment I can remember, and my family has a framed picture of the drop, and it reminds me of the absolute terror I experienced.
Delet This idkkk my dad had told me it was fun and it was just a tour but then I walked inside and started crying it was so terrifying
As someone that rode it - the drop feels a lot LONGER and FASTER than shown.
*"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension. A dimension of sound. A dimension of sight. A dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into... The Twilight Zone.*
*Hollywood, 1939. Amid the glitz and glitter of a bustling, young movie town at the height of its golden age, The Hollywood Tower Hotel was a star in its own right; a beacon for the show business elite. Now, something is about to happen that will change all that. The time is now on an evening very much like the one we have just witnessed.*
*Tonight's story on the Twilight Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a maintenance service elevator still in operation, waiting for you. We invite you, if you dare, to step aboard because in tonight's episode, you are the star. And this elevator travels directly to... The Twilight Zone."*
*"You are the passengers on a most uncommon elevator about to ascend into your very own episode of... The Twilight Zone. One stormy night long ago, five people stepped through the door of an elevator and into a nightmare.*
*That door is opening once again, and this time, it's opening for you."*
*"You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension, beyond the deepest darkest corner of the imagination... in the Tower of Terror."*
*"A warm welcome back to those of you who made it, and a friendly word of warning; something you won't find in any guidebook. The next time you check into a deserted hotel on the dark side of Hollywood, make sure you know what kind of vacancy you're filling. Or you may find yourself a permanent resident of... The Twilight Zone."*

Once I have got off from the line to Space Mountain after waiting for the ride forb1.5 hours lol
I loved the spooky vibe to this ride so much as a kid lol. I really hope they never remove it. This ride is truely the symbol of Hollywood Studios

Fantastic ride, the attention to detail on the inside of the building is astounding.
Personally, i love the lobby/queue elevators. That's where the tragedy occurred......so spooky
the tower of terror is my favourite disney ride, not because of the ride itself but because of the creepy story behind it and the brilliant architecture of the lobby and basement
Temple Of The Forbidden Eye also does the same thing.
