      Yes!! We dont have to all be natural to love our hair!!

    • @joycephillips616

      I have tried & tried to love my natural hair. I have done the big chop every year for about 4 or 5 yrs. Here’s the deal. MY HAIR IS SO DOGGONE THICK & coily I cant handle it after6 or 7 months. I have carpal tunnel & arthritis in my hands, so twisting, finger combing & all the other things we do as naturalistas just ain’t working for me. Yes, my hair grows thick, quick, did I say THICK!? So with news of impending surgery to these hands, I ran to get a relaxer. I don’t feel bad to sigh because it feels so good to touch my scalp. It feels good to run my fingers thru my hair. One of my daughters with a head full of thick gorgeous natural hair, just shakes her head. It’s ok, I earned the right be happy about creamy crack.

    The pre-relaxer treatment is used to protect your relax hair in case any overlapping were to occur and during the rinsing of the relaxer to avoid any further processing. Its like using vaseline to coat the hair.

    • @blackchemist2013
      @blackchemist2013 6 років тому

      What? Smoothing the relaxer helps the straightening of the hair. If you have a damaged area, don't do the smoothing process. Your hair will not straighten.

      I used the same relaxer on my last appointment and it was ok. It didn't perm my hair all the way but not to the point it was under processed, it made my hair look alot fuller and thicker which is great because I have natural fine hair, but I also felt like it made my hair alot more dry than usual, did you have this problem as well?

      **If you have tight coils it is perfectly FINE to slowly n gently comb thru with a WIDE-TOOTH COMB. Especially for those trying to texturize. That's actually the CORRECT way to texturize n loosen the coils to yr liking. NOT a lot of what we're seeing on some of these UA-cam videos.** ( Which is why many of them turn around n complain about it thereafter n cut all their off lol...).
