Will the Joule Turbo live up to the hype Breville has been marketing it with? How long will it take? How will the food taste? Are there any limitations? Love your videos! Of the Sous Vides that you own, which one do you find yourself grabbing the most between the ones you have reviewed on your channel? I feel like i’m torn on which one to choose. Thanks!

Thanks for the kind note! I’ve been turning to the Joule and the Anova Pro most often. The INKBIRD is a great option too.

Thanks for making this video. Just tried it for the first time, my chicken breast temp was 150ºF at the end. It looked cooked, so I just ate it, pretty juicy.
It does make you wonder if that turbo comes on the expense of meat temp.

Thanks for watching! I tend to agree you sacrifice some precision for the speed given the other variables that the algo has to account for. I do think it’s important to keep in mind it’ll be perfectly safe to eat and very tasty. To me, 150F is pretty ideal. Who knows if that’s baked into the target temp. In other words, perhaps the target temp is the upper bound of what they’d like to get to. Pure speculation on my part.

Sous Vide usually cooks at lower temperatures. You can find the time& temp charts from th USDA online. 165°F kills bacteria instantly. Lower temperatures kill bacteria just as dead but you have to hold the lower temp for a longer period.

😡 Biggest piece of CRAP ever. Cannot connect and once it does it says it needs to UPDATE. After it updates it says, "READY". I click to cook and it says, "SOMETHING WENT WRONG" . I check and it says, "UPDATE FAILED". I've been trying for hours to get this thing connected, updated and such. Restarted, multiple factory resets, uninstalled APP, reinstalled, WAP2 blah blah blah everything and our will not UPDATE so I can cook. I have screenshots. It said, "ready" a few times and dropped the ball every time.

That’s awful. Sorry to hear. Have you reached out to Breville? I hope they make things right.
