Someone needs to make a practical velomobile priced reasonably at £3k or lower, which uses standard bike/ebike parts that are easily repairable or replaceable, else it's just a rich person's toy with a niche use and less functionality of a normal ebike - Just you don't get wet in the rain and can park it anywhere. Make it able to tow a bike trailer, too - Then it'll actually compete as an alternative travel option.
Wait, lol! As you're huffing and puffing like you're going to blow a house down, you're like "wow", "amazing", "this thing's cool". whatever, you still made at least a funny video that I can laugh at
Such a strange vehicle!! And that's coming from someone riding electric unicycles primarily 😁 Pretty cool overview 👍 After you demonstrated the climbing ability, it's certainly great that it can make it, however fairly slowly in PEV terms despite being wide. Although the quality of the Shimano motor, display and batteries is rather high it's also a bit of a missed opportunity to be limited to 250W, and get 2 large, heavy and extremely expensive battery packs for the capacity offered at only 36V. I hope they'll be successful in the niche 👍 It seems to be a good machine to build or maintain fitness with a unique proposition.
This is a good, honest video testing the uphill capability and characteristics of such a vehicle. A non-electric-assisted trike with a good gear ratio in lowest gear can get the same result (and not leave the driver huffing-and-puffing exerted!). The small size of such trikes/quads often enables them to be out of the way (or can more easily get out of the way) of faster, motorized vehicles who one doesn't want to impede going uphill. A totally pedalled trike (or bike or quad) is similar to a lorry/truck going uphill -- slower and needing to take the slow lane. They're very good, however, at evading the Big Oil-dependency and climate destruction of fuel-dependent motorized vehicles.
Well this guy looks fit what about the averages person using this mode of transport? It's so versatile because you could remove the battery and charge it within your home for those who live in tower blocks etc
I saw a lot of room for improvement on this vehicle,,i mean if you want All the same function's same look but about half the weight... it's still very nice
Add a radio rear view reversing camera and make the back tail lights flash and act as brake lights and increase the cargo area then I think this could be a winner , I think Clive Sinclair was ahead of the time with the c5 but I think the drycycles time is now , I say that because I’m a fifty four year old who rides an e bike with a travoy trailer but I have used the mrs’s mobility scooter for nipping to town because it’s nippy and if you include waiting times it actually beats the bus , we’ve looked at Enclosed one’s like the cabin car for inclement weather , I wouldn’t use the mobility scooter in the road but I would use a drycycle, if anything will make this fail it’s the price but their hand made , maybe mass production could bring this price down , the designer has obviously put his heart and sole into this so I hope they’re a huge success , they certainly turn heads .
I really like this vehicle, but I feel it’s trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. I use my electric bike for all my local journeys and if it’s raining I either wear suitable clothing or take public transport.
Hi is it still possible to find this drycycle somewhere? Or perhaps someone who invent it or have any parts for it? Company site is not available..anyone know what happened with this project?

Make it able to tow a bike trailer, too - Then it'll actually compete as an alternative travel option.
It needs openable flap windows. I’d be melting without some breeze on my face putting in that much work.
Wait, lol!
As you're huffing and puffing like you're going to blow a house down, you're like "wow", "amazing", "this thing's cool". whatever, you still made at least a funny video that I can laugh at
I don't understand what's contradictory about that? It's too expensive but it looks like a fun piece of kit imo
i hope the tyres have solid insert otherwise they are still susceptible to punctures/flats.
I have questions but let's start at the obvious: why does it have a chain tensioner? It has a derailleur and cassette manual drive train
Such a strange vehicle!! And that's coming from someone riding electric unicycles primarily 😁
Pretty cool overview 👍
After you demonstrated the climbing ability, it's certainly great that it can make it, however fairly slowly in PEV terms despite being wide.
Although the quality of the Shimano motor, display and batteries is rather high it's also a bit of a missed opportunity to be limited to 250W, and get 2 large, heavy and extremely expensive battery packs for the capacity offered at only 36V.
I hope they'll be successful in the niche 👍
It seems to be a good machine to build or maintain fitness with a unique proposition.
Even I have not heard of an electric unicycle, I've gotta look them up!
It's limited to 250W so that it can still be legally considered a bicycle in UK as well as in EU.
Would you have any problems parking at a bike park? I mean, so we do not have to pay as parking a car...
14000+ pounds for a one sitter bicycle! Holy crispy donuts!
suspension ?
Going flat out and overtaken by a guy on a cheap human-powered mtb.
Was that a hose clamp I spotted on the left hand side control!? £15000 🤦🏼♂️
Why is the Drycycle website link not working ?
Sinclair C5. Finally made it.
Here in the U.S. this wonderful machine would not be legal in some of our states 😶😬
THERE IS NO WEBSITE LINK, ITS NOT WORKING

sturmey archers waaaaaaay less maintaining, l have them on rear of my qv rear-end.
With peddle assist?
I really like this vehicle, but I feel it’s trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
I use my electric bike for all my local journeys and if it’s raining I either wear suitable clothing or take public transport.
Hi is it still possible to find this drycycle somewhere? Or perhaps someone who invent it or have any parts for it? Company site is not available..anyone know what happened with this project?
He shut the company down and auctioned everything off quite awhile back.
@velo-ads do you know if the company went out of business? Website is down, Facebook as well…
Just checked Companies House: Company status: Active - Active proposal to strike off. Looks like they are no longer trading, which isn't surprising, unfortunately.
Ok how fast is 20 kilometers per hour?
I’m in the USA and we don’t understand the way you measure anything
How much does it cost
Super bike!
It doesn't generate electricity going down?
