The host did really well here, she allowed the owners to talk a lot but she also added some information from her past experiences. Plus her energy is amazing, great work!
We are here because we heard about Seasoned Traveller from IndoOzFood community group. So glad we found it because this is the channel we have been searching for, highlighting international cuisine in Melbourne, the city where we live too ❤ Can't wait to see more Melbourne food videos from you!

Ayam Penyet, this dish is originaly from East Java. Penyetan is sooo popular because It's cheap and easy to make. You just need something fried like beef, chicken, tofu, tempe, fish, eggplant etc + Sambal + Lalapan (fresh veggie) + Warm Rice My comfort food

What is smashed chicken? Better just mention the origin name.. Ayam Penyet and let the description describe it. Like sushi.. Anybody mention it just as "Raw Seafood from Japan"?
i'm really glad indonesian food getting more recognition, i've seen many video about indonesian food by foreigner in youtube recently, Indonesian food is really underrated compare to thai or vietnamese food.
Southeast Asian in general, is underrated (except for Thailand as a famous tourism spot and Singapore as a business/trading center). Food from this region is really delicious because of all that spice and herbs put in them and influence from many region (middle east, chinese, even western) due to it being a trading route in the past. Also glad it's getting better now.
Chicken sprinkled with lots of spices, which you eat it, is a traditional dish from Minagkabau, a tribe in West Sumatra, Indonesia, we call it "ayam bumbu"
it's still an average price for meal cost 12 - 35 AU$ not a high price, living cost in australia and indonesia is different. indonesia is third world country that's why cost living still cheap,
heran julid amat ama bisnis orang apalagi ini warga kita, emang dikira ayam disana sama harganya kaya disini? gaji chefnya? tempatnya? kebersihannya? izin jual makanannya?
its cool that this restaurant thrives overseas, there used to be one opened in my town but they got closed down recently, dunno maybe due to the pandemic, or simply because the food is just too pricey for "ayam penyet", never tried it so i dont really know
Karena judulnya pake bahasa Inggris : smashed fried chicken. Orang Indo mana kepikiran nyari 'smashed fried chicken' di search engine. Coba 'ayam penyet'... rame. Kan video2 reaction orang luar itu ramenya kalo pake bahasa Indo untuk makanan Indo yang ada di judul. Atau yang paling umum: Indonesian food.
@@wothappen82 yeah, in South Sumatera also. We just used to talk while eating, especially when a big family visit our house. It's rude to them if we are not talking to each other while eating

you can make it but it takes time im pretty sure you can just find it in youtube. i reckon you need pretty much soy beans.
Yessss... We need more Indonesian delicacies around the globe.

In Malaysia Ayam penyet is from Johor. But i don't know, because Malaysia, singapore, Indonesia share the same food culture
this popped up on my youtube home. oh and i dont regret clicking this. hope this channel goes big
The owner sounded like Singaporean.
Maybe he is Indonesian Chinese, maybe because Singaporean sound like English with Mandrin aksen
i'm really glad indonesian food getting more recognition, i've seen many video about indonesian food by foreigner in youtube recently, Indonesian food is really underrated compare to thai or vietnamese food.
Looking at all the food bring warmth because literally all of them are childhood memories until now

Ayam geprek sambal bawang

When I see your video at first I’m impressed. But when I take a look on your subscriber, now I know your strategies, with “Indonesia” word 😂
Chicken sprinkled with lots of spices, which you eat it, is a traditional dish from Minagkabau, a tribe in West Sumatra, Indonesia, we call it "ayam bumbu"
honestly tho that penyet seems rather sad. compare to the street ones. the cremas like spiderwebs
The secret of ayam geprek : the chiken!. I dont know but Kalasan, have different texture of the meat.
The Cendol Ice is little bit different from the original one in Indonesia. Overall good
Have you ever tried the epic of eating chicken geprek, Mbak ?
Hmmm my guess is they sell the crushed chicken a.k.a ayam penyet at high price, in indonesia you can get it for as cheap as AUD 1. LOL
it's still an average price for meal cost 12 - 35 AU$ not a high price, living cost in australia and indonesia is different. indonesia is third world country that's why cost living still cheap,
Jangan bandingkan harga lagi dong. Beda tempat beda dong. Kalo di kita ya jelas harga normal segitu ya normal
heran julid amat ama bisnis orang apalagi ini warga kita, emang dikira ayam disana sama harganya kaya disini? gaji chefnya? tempatnya? kebersihannya? izin jual makanannya?
Every dish looks so good, but and this is a big but, where's the rice??
bukannya ayam smackdown ya?? [btw ini ayam smackdown dari meme]
Loh mas iki...😀
The man gets it. Indomie tastes 100 times better when you eat it overseas
