I work in that area to this day,. I am the last one in the building most nights, it is a very eerie feeling know what happened there. I’ve stood exactly where he fell from, I’ve seen the true angle from which he fell and understand why he made the fatal mistake that he did. The arena is very different now but I have stood in the exact spot where Owen fell from and have looked down, how terrifying of a fall it must of been. RIP.
You would be correct. In documentaries about him it was said that Owen really didn't like the wrestlling business. But given that he had grown up around it and his talent it was something he could do and make a lot of money at. He hated being on the road so much and away from his family. His motivation was to make enough money so that he would be able to provide his family with a good life and have money put away for his kids college. Then once he had enough money he was going to leave the wrestling business for good and come back home and become a firefighter so that he would be around his family more. This is one thing I really admire about him. The wrestling industry has so many over inflated egos and people who are doing it all for themselves. Owen wasn't doing it for himself or his love of wrestling. He was simply doing it as a way to provide his family a better life.

Most surprising part of this interview is that the Godfather was married 😂
He doesn't remember? Didn't he drop the title to Jeff Jarrett?
I always remember because this is around the time two of my life long best friends became my friends. I had two guys I’d pay $3 or $5 to record PPVs.
This PPV was recorded on the replay because my buddies parents had another show recording during the live airing. So it was edited.
Wouldnt it have been messed up if he ran out there and pinned him real quick?
I will always remember that moment 😢. RIP Owen
He indeed dropped it to Jeff on raw in Illinois the next night.
Jarret and Val Venis had to go out and wrestle instead
Fitting that he dropped the title to Jarrett, given he was Owen’s best friend and to this day can’t talk about Owen without breaking down 💔
Miss owen hart😢
It was Jeff Jarrett and it was either the very next night on Raw. Or the raw the week after I don't remember which
Wish they kept goin with the Black Hart Owen run after Bret was screwed
He dropped it to Jeff Jarrett Jeff screamed Owen's name as the belt was handed to him.
Weed done fkd up his memory.🥴
R.I.P Owen one of the all time greats
Subtitles is trash
I did a little research on Google and godfather indeed lost the intercontinental title Jeff Jarrett. And it was two days after Owen's death
You're a good and faithful servant
Too much drugs
God father got the chills u know it’s real
Spoke highly of Owen
If you all would listen to that eerie intro by The Undertaker in his "Ministry of Darkness" persona for "Over the Edge 1999". It gave you all what went down. Watch it again actually hear it word for word; also, do not forgot to see imagery too.
Ohhhhhhhh nooooooo😱 They sacrificed Owen in hopes that they could possibly topple their own company at the absolute pennicle of its success😬😬
My teeth are chattering.
My body is shaking.
The Undertaker is REAL BROOOOOOOO
@@jamesmiller5331 After the Death of Owen, then the company went from being a privately trading company to a public trading.
@@tytharpe350 yes the very next day. Or six months later. Something like that. That's when the Undertaker hasn't turned into Mark Calaway and the WWF had to stop doing murder rituals on Pay-per-view.
Is that you Mark?
@@jamesmiller5331 It was in the month of October and it was five months.
@@jamesmiller5331 The spiritual world is real and it’s a shame people don’t see it
Really Now
Did anyone do jail or held accountable for this
Vince & the WWF had to pay Martha Hart about $10 million and Martha got all rights to Owen's likeness
Jeff Jarrett in St. Louis on Raw Is Owen.. I’m surprised Charles Wright forgot that.
You don't have it right either. Jarrett wrestled Test on RAW is Owen. Jarrett won the title on the Raw after that. At least he remembered who he dropped it to.
RIP.
The Godfather was his gimmick then?
Yes sir
Owen Hart was on his way out of the business from what I recall in a video I saw. Word travels about footage of Owen Hart falling.
Jeff Jarrett
That sucks so bad. I actually just learned that Owen was supposed to win the title.. would have been really cool to see him with the oval IC title.
I wonder who would hav won that match
