I’ve heard Jimmy tell this story multiple times. I always feel bad for him when he does. What an awful thing to happen and to have to witness right in front of you. I wonder if he suffers from any sort of PTSD because of it.

if you watch the Vice episode on Owen's death, when Jimmy Korderas is recounting what happened, he has to stop right before he says, "I thought I heard screaming." I can't imagine how horrifying and distressing that must have been. Talking about that must be one of the hardest things ever

In all the chaos and confusion with the Owen incident, one thing truly gets lost. It has to be scary as hell for Owen on the way down. Imagine being however high he was, accidentally tripping a release, and then seeing the ring rush up at you at fast speeds. It had to be pure horror knowing that you are speeding towards your own death and you can’t do anything about it. Owen still was worried about Jimmy and hollered for him to move out of the way. When a employee or in this case a independent contractor dies trying to feed his family and make Vince money is beyond sad. Why Vince didn't stop the show and that's all it is a show is sickening. Vince did not want to stop the show and have to give the money back. A man died but that wasn't a good enough excuse for Vince to stop the show. Karma has caught up with Vince thanks to Janel Grant. Now this greedy son of a bitch will pay the piper. It's been a long time coming and I hope Owen is looking down and smiling from ear to ear.

Vince even tried to get out of paying Owen's widow, Vickie Guerrero or Chris Benoit's kids the remainder of the contract.
Martha only got it via the lawsuit.
Vickie was an on air performer in WWE, to "earn" the money Eddie still had on his contract.

I was watching, and, I couldn't believe that they said that he passed, and, I seriously couldn't believe it. I had a hard time telling what was real or not when I was younger. I remember checking the news to see if they said anything, and, to my surprise, I was international news.

I watch that when it happened we thought it was just part of the show like they were making something up you know but it wasn't and that's pretty sad rest in peace to the legend of the blue blazer Owen hart

he fell 80 to 100 foot from rafters....100 feet nearly rounds to a 9 to 10 stories building. One storey is usually 10.83 feet, so multiplying that by near 9 feet gives you a bit more around 100 ft...falling on the ropes wouldnt change much

As a teen I remember watching the ppv and remember trying to be patient for the show to continue, I’m pretty sure I would have been disappointed if the show was over, i used to watch every ppv for free on my dads illegal cable box but I’m pretty sure the fans who paid for ppv and at the arena would had been disappointed too. I remember being relieved the show continued and got to see the main event. I didn’t really care for Owen tbh. I was just like damn that’s messed up, but he wasn’t one of my favorite wrestlers and I think most kids/teens felt that way unfortunately. It’s cruel to say but that was just the reality and mindset wwf understood and I think that’s why they continued with the show.

Come on guys, I completely understand respecting the dead but Owen wasn’t going to be no top guy. He kept going down the card since him and Bret feuded and stayed a low mid carder till the blue blazer gimmick which would been low card.
Plus he wanted to retire within a couple years anyways cause his family meant more then the business. I did like the heel Owen. He wasn’t good on the mic, was better as a heel like Bret was better as a heel.
