Imo the biggest downside to buying a Tesla is how insanely expensive they are to fix.

Very little maintenance and upkeep though , no oil no fluids. I have had an EV for about a year now the VW ID4 and I will never own another gas powered car.

Probably because it was still going on and she was trying to work with them to avoid the computer cost.
She had done a sponsorship with a different car company so she wasn’t allowed to talk about other car brands (good or bad) for a certain amount of time.

For what it's worth, I had a software update to my Model Y and my computer had to be changed as well. I was out of warranty for 2 months . The computer was also replace 5 months before. Not sure what the problem was but they could not get the software to load and they replaced the computer at no charge.

I had the same autopilot issue (ms)! At first they quoted me $275 for a diagnostics fee (not including any solution post diagnostic). I put it off for a few weeks and they just ended up doing it for free. They just needed to repush the update. Purely a software issue. Seems like they took your money just cause they could unfortunately 😢.
Happened to me as well (‘21 M3). I ignored it because I rarely use autopilot and figured it was a software glitch and it eventually corrected itself without me doing anything.
@@KellyTheRN My car gave me an annoying alert on the screen at all times which made it hard to ignore. Not sure mine would've corrected itself as it is a '17 MS. I feel like they give a little more love to the M3 and MYs
But why couldn't you tell us about your Tesla troubles? Was it because of the BMW sponsorship or did Tesla make you a sign a NDA which they are known for doing, or something else entirely?

Hi Shelby! It is June 21, 2024. They just gave a Specual News Report about the Tesla Battery. If it stops your car, in the heat be careful! The doors would not open and everything stops working in the heat. It had us all in panic mode!
Do investigate that battery, Shelby, if you still have your Tesla. If it is on low, get another one. Be safe and enjoy the summer! 🏖
i feel like a lot of car shops just pick a problem and charge u for it by guessing and then if it doesnt work u still have to fix it.

For your Tesla, you probably went trough so much troubleshooting but did you try re- collaborating your cameras under settings? Also, that’s odd you even had to pay for the computer replacement. It should be under warranty and if you were out of warranty, I believe you can buy an extended warranty in the Tesla shop if your car is eligible to
The general warranty is only four years. Tesla does offer extended warranty but you must purchase prior to your general warranty expiration.

For the month of April Tesla is offering one free month of FSD Supervised. It is available to all Tesla cars that are compatible with FSD. It would great if you did a video on using FSD and then compare how it works compared to AutoPilot. You might check your car and see if there is a software update. If there is one, it is probably the one that gives you FSD for the month of April.
Also please consider doing a video comparing your Model 3 to the 2024 Model 3. The 2024 has a big update where they made many improvements. If you contact Tesla they might even give you the use of a 2024 Model 3 for a day as the exposure would be great for them.
This is what you get for owning a electric car. Rental car companies are pushing electric cars and people are having nothing but problems.

Wayne Goss had issues with his Tesla in the UK and made a video about a year ago-somewhat dangerous mini nightmare situation.
It's funny the guys get mad for getting called out for click bait when click baits been a common place on UA-cam since it's inception. I generally will not click sensationalist headlines, but I've been working in marketing for awhile so I think I'm unphased about it. If I want to watch someone I'll watch someone regardless of the title.

I would have taken the Tesla for a 2nd opinion. Most people can't afford to spend $2,000 when it was another issue. Sounds like when u have an EV car - u spend so much time lookingn for a charger.

Tesla repairs can be a little wild west. It sounds like you got the next generation of computers? it's a requirement for FSD for some older cars iirc but shouldn't be for the basic but I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla just appled legacy customers. Is your car FSD compatible now? then you should have gotten an offer for a month free FSD very recently. It's quite capable now, makes all your turns etc, nothing like basic AP. You still have to watch it like a hawk or it will kill you. They also lowered the price for it to 99$ a month even though that's still somewhat pricey. You could also sell the car and get a brand new one. I think the lease starts at 329.

I don’t use them but they’ve been over prescribed in the US and then people get addicted it’s really messed up. Usually people only use them after a surgery which is totally normal but some doctors have abused it
In Utah; you have to have to be post- surgery or have a broken bone and then it’s usually just 5 days worth. Makes it difficult with those suffering from chronic pain.

EVs are more costly to fix starting with that big battery underneath the floorboards. The battery is the most expensive component on an electric car and it's also costly to handle during repairs. Because of the risk of battery fires, many manufacturers require that the massive lithium-ion battery be drained and disconnected before a repair. If the EV needs to be welded or taken through a hot paint bay, then the battery has to be removed entirely. The result: A battery-powered model takes nearly 50 days to repair.
