I liked the fact you spoke about safety features. Few days back I had a life threatening situation on a highway where I had to reduce my Mitsubishi outlander 2016 speed in 60mph in 3 seconds. During that occupation the car was stable even though it was raining! The ABS worked exactly as it should be!! It has made me more loyal to Mitsubishi technology and safety design.

There is currently a class action in Canada and the US. These vehicles don't have a drive battery heater and become inoperable around -30°C. I own one in the BC lower mainland. So it shouldn't be a problem for me. But this was not disclosed to me before i bought it. I'm not even sure the dealership had been told about the problem by Mitsubishi.

Wow that's a bummer. I didn't know about that. Good looking out though!

The main problem with the Outlander is the gas efficiency. If you look at its consumption after the batter runs oit it is basically as bad as the gad model, you don't really gain anything by having the hybrid system. Where if you compare something like a RAV4 or Sorento to the gas model they blow their gas cointerparts out of the water. This seems to be the problem with series hybrid systems.

I have a 2024 model. I think you may be right. I get about 7L/100k. Quick Google says about 9 for the ice. But myself and the average driver almost never empty the battery. I average around 2L(gas)/100k. 85% of my driving is done on electricity alone.
