I wanna make sure everyone is aware. The oxiclean is basically just baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. The dollar store has surfactants in it. It's always recommended to add some form of cleaner like dawn even to help it work. So even though the oxiclean is at a disadvantage it did decently.
7:10 how much suds either generated is what I wanted to see as it was not visible earlier. More suds means more oxygen generated or simply there is a higher concentration of oxygen bleach than in the dollar store brand. That's where the cheaper product cuts corners to get a lower price. It does not use ox gen bleach but optical brightners instead
I always add at least two scoops into what I want to get really white, I also use hot water as it is best for dissolving and I find the longer you leave it to soak the better (overnight is the best idea )swirling it around every now and then before throwing it in the wash.
For years I've been a loyal fan of OxiClean, and use it ALONE for nearly everything -- laundry, bathrooms, rug shampooer, general cleaning or whatever. I especially like to soak dish cloths and sponges after use -- you'll be amazed to see how much gunk rinses out. Yes, you need to dissolve the powder before use.
This really works GREAT from the dollar store... Grill spray that you would spray on your grill try it on your grout amazing! I tried everything you automatically see the dirt start lifting even before you start scrubbing! ✌🏼
By the time you factor in gas and car wear and tear for that extra trip to Dollar Tree, it just isn't worth it. Since Dollar Trees price went up and package size gone way down, I make a bi-monthly trip there, to get the few things that remain outstanding value. It just isn't worth it to go there constantly, like I used to. Plus, they're pathologically understaffed and the stores are always a mess
I seen on tic TOC and utuber a home made laundry detergent I used focca Downey and oxii clean and the other blue cheep Mexican powder in big bag at target and boarax and washing powder oh my it smells the best and it cleans every thing white I promise I've got so much laundry detergent now too I also added some scent booster but not needed
Interested as to why you would ever use oxiclean instead of straight sodium percarbonate. Through my normal research process, I've found that percarbonate is the "working" part of oxiclean, but there's only a small percentage of it in the mix. Percarbonate is, of course, more expensive, but you use much less and it works much harder... Just wondering if you believe there is ANY advantage to buying a name brand blend of ingredients when you can just buy the actual part that does the cleaning? Thanks for your hard work on the videos!
It looks like when you added the powder to the water the dollar tree was on your left but when you scrubbed the shoes you moved the oxyclean brand on your left.
The best cleaner I've ever used is sodium hydroxide. However, you can damage the item as well as whatever part of you it contactsyou are cleaning with it

I used the Dollar Tree product to clean my outside wood deck, the results were AMAZING! Wish I cold post a before and after.
We wish you could do - would love to see it!

Can’t always use hot water on some types of clothing, especially if you want to wear them again, you run the chance of damaging and loosing color.
I love your video. thank you so much for showing us the comparison, people often judge the DT brand.

You just mean that you dissolve it in warm water first?
Thanks most of the 'Awesome' stuff cleans really well.

Why can't they make Oxiclean in a liquid so you don't have to dissolve it?
They do! Check your local store or www.oxiclean.com/en/products/laundry-detergent for it! 😁
Very helpful review! Thank you 😊
hi cutie, oxydol is made by Procter and gamble and oxiclean is made by Arm &Hammer(Church & Dewight).
They sell oxy clean at rid aid for 1 dollar now lol
Really? Good to know. That is a good price.
@@CleanFreakGermaphobe yes but it's in a small container like the dollar store one
The LAs totally awesome powder has been discontinued. Havent seen it any dollar tree stores for months now
I haven’t seen it in months either, but I literally just went back to DT today and Bam! It was right there. Was so happy
@@heavenlee971 but they made the size smaller 😔😔
I just bought one yesterday
Buy online. Ship to store or home. My stores in Atlanta has them but the size is smaller.
That’s crazy. Your comment was 8 months ago and I just bought it the other day and it says, “NEW” on the label. Sketchy😬
Can u do dollar general oxy vs dollartree
You need to let them soap over night
You can ruin your wood table with the boiling water. Use a trivet.
hi cutie. i love your channel and this video. ❤.
