- Hey guys and gals! In this video I go over what I believe to be the best Hotshot Setup to buy! In a market that might not look so promising, it is important to have a setup that allows you to haul any load on the board. If we can keep our limitations low, we can keep our money high!

Can you make a video about the hotshot with a freightliner m2 or medium duty truck. Thanks
I have a E-450 cab and chassis v-10 gas powered...
I know it's not a diesel but it's going to work.. I'm adding a fuel tank, sleeper and FIFTH wheel
I would definitely be careful before dumping a good amount of money into a truck like that. Diesel in my mind is a necessity, but if you can make it work, go for it!
Don't do it. Buy a diesel. I started off with gas. You'll see the fuel guage drop. Only person that will make money is the government on fuel. You will lose so much on fuel.. if you like the truck just use it for real short short hauls like a 50 mile radius
What about a hydraulic Dove tail trailer?
Thanks for your content I learn from ur videos
Im amazed how many guys go out and buy a brand new truck and trailer to jump into hotshot. You're getting $120,000+ in debt rught out of the gate. What good is warranty when the dealerships are in no rush to get you going? Ive seen trucks sit a month waiting for repair. It could put you out if business before you get rolling if you have any amount of trouble with a new truck. Plus yhat warranty is probably going to ve gone before the 2 year mark. And you still have 3-4 years of new truck payments. Seems like buying a decent used truck and custom building a hotshot truck would be money ahead. You'll have far less expense and if done right no monthly payments on the truck. You might have bo choice but to go new on the trailer, bit the trailer should be able to outlast a few trucks if you don't beat it to death. Just my thoughts
@Skiff4079 I would love to hop on a phone call with you my dude
You could always lease
Thank you so much for the info
Hello what’s the maximum weight I can get a load from the board with that setup?
I watch !!
Is an 4450 to small ? Im gonna set up a consultation just not yet. 40ft with mega ramps is pretty much what is recommended. CDL A also
Dang. How do I start. I’m scared to make the move and spend all this money and not have any loads
With cdl your talking about? Non cdl you can’t have that much weight? Thanks
You need a CDL once you hit 26,001 lbs. So in my opinion if you are going non CDL like I do then don’t get a dually it weighs too much. I run a Dodge 2500 Cummins with a Big Tex 16GN 35ft with Mega Ramps, GVWR is 24,500 lbs because I got the trailer derated at the manufacturer.
Hey man I have a question regarding non cdl Driver qualification file. Who is qualified to give you a road test? Does it have to Be a driving school or can I get a buddy to ride in the truck and check off on the road test paperwork. I Have gotten mixed answers where and when I can find an answer. No one seems to know exactly.
State examiner and school now.
J. How do you feel about spread axles
Not bad, Definitely can help with weight distribution, but dragging that front axle could be an issue and eat the tires up.

I would definitely get one! Super easy to do through your states website, costs around $30-$50
