I’m taking cdl classes currently. I live in California. I have bad credit . I could probably manage a truck 15-10 years old and that’s still over 20 k. The work part I can do it’s the finance part what’s going to hold me bk. Do you think I can do it with older truck and older base trailer ? And just grind my way up
I think you can do anything you set your mind to esp if you place your trust in God; this business a lot of times is up to the equipment you purchase whether new or old. Some older trucks are better than others so just do as much research as you can and make the decision you feel is best for you. My truck is an 07, I can do a lot of the work myself and the best part about it is that youtube has a lot of information on my truck. I will say this too. An old truck is an old truck. They weren't built to hotshot, so things such as maybe brakes can go out sooner and more frequently than some of the newer stuff so you just have to keep that in mind too. Make modifications to help it out and try to get the best rate with hauling low weight and keep pushing. Lastly trailers are trailer imo. They're simple just learn to take care of them and they'll take care of you and find good mechanics.
Place a fuel tank on back of your truck . Less stopping time required . I use to laugh at my grandfather for having one but it save time and money . The newer ones pump has you need them automatically . The old ones you needed to manually do it .
Credit and cash for fuel ? Bro just link your bank account to your fuel card account and write down all saving totals in notebook than compare when fuel account sends statement
thats true but linking ur bank acct is the same as "cash" which is what i was referring to; a tad unclear but most ppl get the overall point; some ppl use fuel CREDIT cards not using a cash based fuel card; just trying to get ppl to avoid using those credit fuel cards; simple as that
Glad to see you back on UA-cam. It’s been a minute. But you’re right about that UA-cam how to fix your truck yourself.

Got a 5 yr road hazard warranty on my truck tires. They’ll reimburse me for replacing $500 one time payment. It already paid for itself

Express change my oil for $49.99 and I bring everything
Every 2,200 miles so roughly once a month $600 yr
thats really good! my oil alone doesnt cost that 😂
Roadside $100 a year
I hear that 6.0 my boy I’m bout to start hotshot with my 06 powerstroke almost bought a new truck an you just motivated me to use mine 🫡
yeah i wrestle with the idea a lot; def best to use what u own and try not to owe anyone any money; we are called to be lenders not borrowers
