*One, Regarding Starwars Films:* the only film I want is a By The Book, nothing added {except maybe, at most, a tiny cameo for Assohka} Heir to the Empire. Han and Leia are married. Leia is carrying twins and _nothing is added to the book._ Scenes are trimmed or possibly combined to make the movie pacing right, but it's adapted straight out of Zahn's original work. Maybe the producer has to play it coy with Kennedy there and tell her they plan to let the female twin die before 'Ben' is born, but by the time Last Command is being filmed she's out of the picture and Jacen and Jaina are born and we get confirmation that this trilogy is the beginning of a separate Legendary Cinematic Timeline. One that doesn't lead to the shitquels
There was a time when anything to do with Star Wars got my immediate attention. But once I realised Disney and the person in charge of Lucasfilm were intent on destroying George Lucas's legacy, I pretty much got disillusioned and mostly lost interest. As long as that sort of mentality is overseeing the franchise, Star Wars will never return to what it was meant to be. (I did come back because of Favreau, but it seems his efforts have been sabotaged as well).

I caught that Office Space reference and now I realize it's been too long since I last watched it. As for Disney and Lucas Film... I'm not optimistic at all. Even if they get made I don't think it'd be anything I'd want to watch. They keep making decisions that don't seem logical and certainly haven't been financially sound.
While I have watched the disney+ shows with a varying degree of enjoyment, (Mando and Bad Batch being my favorites) I have no excitement towards any upcoming Starwars project by disney. At this point I'd rather just read the books and comics published before the takeover because when I compare disney to "legends" legends continuity just seems to be better, more fun, and introduces the new generation without destroying the legacy characters
I was so excited when Disney bought SW. Then they made a movie. Just like the first one. At least George Lucas tried to give us something new each time he made one. Disney just keeps churning out crap. "Star Wars fans will watch anything as long as it has Star Wars in the title." said Bob. Well, this old Star Wars fan is out.
Answering the 3 questions. 1. Yes, I would like to see another Star Wars film announced, but I don't want to see anything from the current regime. Disney and Kathleen Kennedy have proven that they truly do not understand the brand and are incapable of making a serviceable Star Wars film. 2. Unless Indiana Jones 5 is somehow a runaway hit, none of the current Star Wars films announced will see the light of day. Seeing that current buzz is spelling doom for The Dial of Destiny, there will be no more Star Wars produced by the current regime. 3. If any or all of these films somehow get produced I will not see any of them.

Have you seen the Spielberg Kennedy diss at the Indy premiere?
Wow, _The Ten Commandments_ cost 50% more to produce than A New Hope, 20 years earlier.
I feel bad for people who gotta watch this crap so they can pay their rent
There was a time when anything to do with Star Wars got my immediate attention.
But once I realised Disney and the person in charge of Lucasfilm were intent on destroying George Lucas's legacy, I pretty much got disillusioned and mostly lost interest.
As long as that sort of mentality is overseeing the franchise, Star Wars will never return to what it was meant to be.
(I did come back because of Favreau, but it seems his efforts have been sabotaged as well).
If 2 things dont happen gonna be pissed 1st Darth K Kennedy has a job after Indy5 bombs and 2nd want to see a new South Park Indy episode destroying Darth K Kennedy to help get her fired. Please let these 2 things happen!
Michael Stackpole written Rogue Squadron and a new Timothy Zhan written trilogy. I'll show up for those. And if they re-decorate the hotel into a Mon Cala themed undersea star cruiser I would be interested.
Wikipedia says Solo: A Star Wars Story made 93 million dollars.
My theory:
Intentional sabotage to capitalize on stock. Then invest heavily in smaller studios to own larger majority shares of newer studios. Rinse and repeat...
I REFUSE to allow them that excuse! And I encourage y'all to help NOT feed into it. They hide behind "Star Wars Fatigue" as an excuse. Um, no sir. Ask any true SW fan, if you put out a dozen QUALITY SW movies a week, we'd see them all multiple times! Zero fatigue. You're allowing them to have an excuse for the poor quality stuff they are putting out! Don't feed this narrative
I'm not looking forward to any new STAR WARS movies. I move for a vote of no confidence in Kathleen Kennedy's leadership.
I think it's deliberate. Once upon a time, being the IP holder gave absolute power over a franchise. That day is done. If the IP holder insists on not bringing out new content or bringing out garbage content, we can now make our own. I invite all my fellow Star Wars fans to enjoy another unauthorized novel completely free. Just google Legend of the Harp Jedi.
Just shelve the IP already
They will never learn. They must go out of business
DISNEY SW movies is like making a hundred jugs of KOOL-AID with one packet and no sugar.

Words to live by
None please. Like you said, I'm content with the original trillogy, that's why I'm a Star Wars fan
I'm in the camp of, stop the bleeding. No more Disney's Star Wars.
I'm so glad to be in my twilight years. I was 9 in '77 and Disney ( Heck, actually all Legacy properties) from my youth have been buried by present day Hollyweird. Until these creators have been removed I'm not interested anymore. Is anyone?
I hate that definition of insanity. That’s like assuming if you accidentally hit your thumb with a hammer when you’re hitting a nail, then all you can ever expect when you hammer a nail is to hit your thumb
Just waiting for "Star Wars: Rise of the Bantha Milk Maids" to hit the screen
I am reminded of some GREAT advice, when you see a fool digging himself to Hell, don't stop him!
Dig Disney, dig!!!
I caught that Office Space reference and now I realize it's been too long since I last watched it. As for Disney and Lucas Film... I'm not optimistic at all. Even if they get made I don't think it'd be anything I'd want to watch. They keep making decisions that don't seem logical and certainly haven't been financially sound.
so...their stategy now is "throw as much turds on the wall as possible and hopefully one will stick"?
I say let Disney Star Wars die.
Same
I don't know how star wars became so popular for me it's mediocre or worst on quality
Seriously how can a company be given such a money printing machine with their IPs and still fuck it up??!! Woke = Broke, Disney!
Money is never tight when it's OPM and you have a Message to deliver.
I still want to see a X-Wing film series. I loved those books.
*LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE, AND LEAVE STAR WARS ALONE!!!!!*
Let them flop so they can sell Lucasfilm back to Lucas for pennies. It could be an inner conspiracy as well
To fix Star Wars you need to let a true fan write the film and Kathleen not involved
You think Disney would loose money if I see them sell Star Wars with Marvel?! It is unlikely! They will get their cash back.
Decent chance they’ll just be canceled at some point, like the previously announced films that went nowhere.
If any of these announced Star Wars films, ANY of them, actually releases, I will eat a lamp. I genuinely will eat a lamp on livestream. Genuinely.
Disney’s hoping to build on the success of their Star Wars hotel!
