Hi folks…after test riding the Triumph street twin and hornet back to back I have placed an order for the hornet. I’m 6ft 1” and honestly I found the hornet more comfortable…to .all those saying the hornet is too small and looks like a 125 you’ll find the Triumph is actually smaller in dimensions apart from a taller seat height. Looking forward to September!
Picked up mine last week, Love it, it's like riding a motocrosser!!! Great engine, sport pack fitted, quickshifter is amazing, engine braking is best when in sport mode and smoothes the throttle, So light and agile, first twin I've had as used to inline 4s, Thoroughly recommend this bike,
I want to see this in s sports toourer to challenge the Tracer 7 and Tiger 660. I don't like the look of the Transalp and believe it's more off road focused anyway. A shootout between those three bikes would be really interesting.
I got one and sold it after 60 miles. Lost over 2k. My honest opinion, not good. Too small, my feet always in wrong position, needs to be a lot lower and back. Seating position is awful, while almost sitting on the tank it is ok. Not a great wheelie machine, why it has wheelie control/stop is beyond me. Fuel economy is a whole lot worse than on paper. Go for a long test ride and don´t buy until absolute certain!
I've been waiting for a few months now for my bike to turn up. It's probably in the Suez canal at the mo. I really, really, hope I get the Michelin 5s and not the Dunlop whatevers on my bike. Grey one ordered. Yellow looks great but, it's a magnet for insects and will be covered in.......insect stuff, in 0 time. Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the bike.
Got one a few weeks ago. Brilliant. As you say, great fun. Agree with all you say except setting clock etc is easy. All settings accessed by holding the arrow button to the right. No need for an app. User mode, service interval, you make it you can set it from the handlebar buttons.
i've watched a few reviews, and many say the design is a tad on the boring side, but close up, like yourself i think it looks so much better, & even just siting on it i thought it's the one for me, so am really looking forward to taking delivery of one in march. GL
Hi I just saw a rewiew(Spanish Riders). He made a brake rest at 120km/.It was scary the bike was not stabile at all specially the rearwheel. What do you think?done brake test yourself? Thanks
Just bought a Hornet CB750 and agree with all you say, however the weather protection is absolutely awful. I don't fir rider, it is a " naked" bike, the front mudguard is way too short and the back of the bike gets covered in crap.
i've just ordered a powerbronze hugger + front extender for mine, cost for both £150, and don't look too bad either. i cant say how good they are coz im taking delivery of a new bike in march. but from what i have read they do the job. GL
Gotta admit, video productions on this bike are very, very good generally.... certainly better than I could manage. HOWEVER this is a CB750 TWIN, not a Hornet... the real Hornet was discontinued in 2007 as far as I am concerned. I'm sure the 2007-> 2013-> 2017 (650) and finally the 2023 CB750 twin are fine bikes, but fugly. From 2007 the "Hornet" name was used to promote a non-Hornet (read completely different machines). Why not call it a "Wasp" or did Honda have too many "Hornet" decals left over? The CB900F2->F7 are completely different subject, but being discontinued is a shame too. YMMV
I’m still waiting for mine to arrive. Did the same test ride then ordered straight away. Amazing bike. A lot people that haven’t seen the bike in person seem to hate the shape. All I can say is each to there own but first take it a spin and see for yourselves.
@@Stvan18 did the same… hate the number plate hanger on the cb650r it looks ridiculous and the engine has too many vibrations and gutless at low revs not to mention its the clocks you can’t see in bright sunlight. The Hornet is a much better bike.
Only my opinion and I've had a speed triple I don't like the back end on the trident, sounds petty and itsca great bike but the hornet would be my choice, maybe an update on style at rear will help but I think it looks out of place.
I have sat on one , think it does look a bit small , the rear tyre could do with a 180 size , i have a mt 07 , not sure i would swap . The engine is the seller probably.
I own the new Hornet and can confirm the test ride in every aspect, thanks for sharing , it is indeed a wonderful bike, loooove it...
Glad you enjoy it too!

I agree. I´m 6´1" as well and it was fairly comfortable. Knee angle was a bit sharp but you can fix that with a different set of footpegs.

Why you buy toi small bike?
Just ridden one and I can concur that in Sport Mode it will hit 100mph like nothing, absolutely ridiculous power delivery lol
Just picked mine up. So far I am pretty pleased. I cannot figure out how to change time and date either! Bloody manuals are useless! 😅
Glad it wasn't just us 😂

Thanks for the review -clear and informative. The yellow is the ticket - I'm sure inAmerica, we'll get black and grey...
if you can go with the bland style its a very good naked bike for not a lot of money. Its on my top bikes if ine day i exchange my 2004 sv650.
I liked your video so I’m now following bro
Glad you enjoyed!
Just saying, the new Leo Vince LV Race exahust thats coming out for this is looking damn nice.

I had to make an emergency stop commuting on the bike and the bike was incredibly stable and safe decelerating from 70 MPH/112 KPH
@@BikeMatters Thanks 👍👍👍🙏
They stole the yellow from V-strom 😂😂
Bo they didn't. The original Hornet was yellow too 😅
Can you "steal " colour?
OK green is definitely a Kawasaki
@@flexywing just kiddin’ bruh 😒
Me too
Once saw BMW R%%%%RT in Kawasaki colours, looked so wrong

Unfortunately all new bikes are like this now, they design them with such small front mudguards it seems pointless putting them on.
Yeah, it isn't great. Something we overlooked!
You expected weather protection?😂...To be fair, fitted a Powerbronze hugger and mudguard extender to mine.

The old Hornet looked pretty damn badass….this one looks…non-threatening. Though I’m pretty sure it outperforms most of its competitors.
Go take one for a test ride, I bought one straight away! What a bike!
@DavidSmith-hn5gg I went to the dealer for the cbr650r and ended buying the Hornet. I love the new engine.

Trident or hornet ? In your opinion

Hornet or GSX 8s ????
Both really are great bikes to ride, and you wouldn't go wrong with either - but I'd have to say Hornet, personally!
@@BikeMatters thanx
Hornet for street, comfort and better for pillion. 8s for track
