Remixes or Remakes are not usually well received as they many a times lose the soul of original renditions. Only if they are made with different intent then they might be liked. The best remix abd well received are by Bombay Vikings and Neeraj Shridhar. Also, the genda phool song from Delhi 6 is actually not original but is remade from a folk song sung by women while doing housework as respite. Women came together in villages etc to prepare condiments/foods for summer(pickles,papad) etc when they spoke about problems they faced in their households amongst each other. That's the setting the director has also used in the song. Also, Divya Bharati was a well loved actor who sadly passed away too soon. Murder, Suicide or Accident, much speculation still.

Remixes or Remakes are not usually well received as they many a times lose the soul of original renditions. Only if they are made with different intent then they might be liked. The best remix abd well received are by Bombay Vikings and Neeraj Shridhar. Also, the genda phool song from Delhi 6 is actually not original but is remade from a folk song sung by women while doing housework as respite. Women came together in villages etc to prepare condiments/foods for summer(pickles,papad) etc when they spoke about problems they faced in their households amongst each other. That's the setting the director has also used in the song. Also, Divya Bharati was a well loved actor who sadly passed away too soon. Murder, Suicide or Accident, much speculation still.
