    Drake calling out Whitney’s name and insinuating that she had a baby with another man was dirty. Don’t make up nasty stuff like that about an innocent mother and expect her man not to destroy you. Especially when you’re going up against a Pulitzer Prize winning artist. Drake has way too many skeleton’s in his closet to be provoking a man in that way. He got what he deserved 100%

    The fact that so many other artists have turned on Drake speaks volumes about his character to me. There were a bunch of them who stopped messin with him before this current beef and Drake is the common denominator here. He did sleep with Lil Wayne’s girl while he was locked up.

      I think it's because Drake was never making real friends it was all business and exploiting other artists like a colonizer before moving on to the next one. Now Drake is bad for business so can't act surprised when everyone walked away from Drake because just like Drake always let it be known his relationships were disposable, and his collaborators have treated him in the same way 🤷‍♂️ can't act surprised now 😂

      Yep. For instance in maad city he clearly talks about the murder of someone in his neighborhood or social group but he doesn't glorify it or talk about getting some violent revenge or anything - it's part of his culture and upbringing and history, but it's something to learn from for him, not encourage.
      Anyone who doesn't get that hasn't actually "listened" to Kendrick's music. They may have heard it, but they clearly didn't listen.

    Bro 😭 you seem like a nice wholesome guy but you gotta realize, nothing is too far when somebody comes for your family. ESPECIALLY when its all lies.
    Also, Drake threw other people in before kendrick even dropped this and it was way more ridiculous than anything kendrick said. “You know who really bang a set my n*gga YG” was so weird to say. And YG came out saying don’t put me in your mess 😂
    I think you should listen to kendrick more though, i don’t think he’s the type to glorify gang violence or that type of lifestyle (even though thats the environment he grew up in). Meanwhile, Drake is always talking about Mob Ties and BS he never even grew up experiencing 🤷🏽‍♀️
    I get your point about the content of rap and hip hop even in the Christian category. I think thats more of an issue for parents to handle though lol if your kids aren’t well versed enough to understand the message behind the content, they probably shouldn’t be listening to it yet 😭 and that really goes for any genre.

    Drake brought up Kendrick’s wife first which is why K Dot started hitting Drake below the belt too. In Euphoria, K Dot said “it’s a friendly fade, let’s just keep it that way”. Drake did not do that. So things becoming messy and too serious started with Drake, not the other way around

    To the people who have listened to Kendrick from TPAB will remember his reference to the “Temptations of Lucy” which we always knew Lucy stood for Lucifer. But, I’m remembering a story Kendrick told about when he met Drake for the first time and he picked him up in a big body car and was trying to put him on game about what this life will bring you. Kendrick’s response was to go the other way. To not make the BOPS and to remain introspective because the Lucy he met that night was disingenuous and only seeking glory. This shows why you should never have FALSE IDOLS. Because they’re are LOTS of Drake F.A.N’S the refuse to see the truth

    This is a beef that has been going on for over 10 years between Drake and Kendrick. There is no rules in a beef. Drake has used his power to Manipulate the culture.

    • @Dullystoptrippen
      @Dullystoptrippen 21 день тому

      Used power to manipulate the culture? That’s how drake lost this back and forth? Or there were other reasons, main reasons?

  • @lynnshaffer5997
    @lynnshaffer5997 22 дні тому +3

    I still can't recall you feeling the same way when Drake called out his family, DJ Mustard, YG, Chris Brown, Dave Free, and of course TDE. As for Kendrick naming the other rappers he was trying to give us examples of how Drake uses the culture for his own personal gains but never gives back.
    There are A LOT of things that Drake has done to other people, Kendrick has nothing to do with other people not liking Drake. The Canadians don't even like him. Stop acting like Drake didn’t bring all of this to himself. You have no idea what Kendrick has done for his city, they love Kendrick.

  • @TanjaZD
    @TanjaZD 22 дні тому +3

    Not only is Kendrick Try.
    Ing to unify his community.
    But also protect.
    Families. This rabbit hole goes very deep.

  • @3COI
    @3COI 22 дні тому +3

    TDE is the record label Kendrick was signed to until right before his last album. Kendrick put that label on the map and Drake was claiming he was getting extorted by the guy that runs the label, but he's still friends with everyone on the label including the label owner (he shouted out Top Dawg in Euphoria).
    The video was filmed in LA, where Kendrick is from. Cali has a tendency to unify when it comes to protecting their own, especially someone they really like, like Kendrick. Dave Free is Kendrick's childhood friend and creative partner and business partner. He's in the video and he usually helps direct Kendrick's videos.
    The Pop Out concert had basically every LA rapper that's still active from YG to Tyler, The Creator performing. Russell Westbrook and Demar Derozan were dancing on stage when Kendrick performed this song, Lebron was in the crowd.
    As far as the Atlanta verse, nobody in Atlanta has come out to support Drake or refute the claim Kendrick made, so...
    When it comes to substance, I REALLY think you're missing out with Kendrick. The thing that makes him unique among rappers is the fact that he leans into talking about struggles and shortcomings. On the other side, one of the biggest criticisms of Drake you'll hear is that he has actually regressed on subject matter to the point where there's no real substance to any of it. The underage girls allegations have been floating around about Drake for almost a decade now, too.
    BTW, Drake did respond to this the day after it came out. It wasn't good imo
    Suggestion: watch the breakdowns of this beef and these diss tracks done by the UA-cam channel "What's The Dirt?" to gain a lot of context you're missing. None of this is simple and, as Drake said, this didn't start recently. This was over a decade in the making. There's nothing wrong with not knowing, especially if you're not into mainstream rap. But there's A LOT to this.

    Ok this is my last comment i swear 😂
    I don’t think people necessarily WANT these things to be true about Drake. I think people have just caught onto a lot of things that have been overlooked for years and the ones who have been calling it out finally feel vindicated. People have BEEN calling out Drake for his inappropriate relationship with minors. People have BEEN accusing him of stealing lyrics, having ghostwriters, stealing peoples girlfriends, etc. 😭 i think the fact that Kendrick is bringing it all to the eyes of so many new people is the reason it feels like Drake is being turned on. People are literally just waking up to the proven BS that Drake has been on.
    And to be fair i don’t really think kendrick is being super literal by calling drake a P*do, i think he’s just exaggerating to make a point (which i can understand why people might find that wrong). We may not have actual proof of him engaging in super egregious activity but we 100% have proof of him grooming young girls and even kissing a 17 year old as a 23+ year old man

I get you’re not a fan and perception isn’t fact. Kendrick has always given voice to us, “Alright” during the BLM was like a love letter to us at a crazy time. Calling out pettiness as a drake fan is hilarious 😂😆. Your boy treats collaborators and 'friends' like trash don't be suprised when everybody turned on him. It shows you don't know the LA hip-hop scene which is fine but get educated on it. Not a Drake fan but you calling him your boy? Umm ok 😅

    Were you listening to drakes music before the beef, if so you were ok with him and his bad behavior. And you knew of him with underaged girls. He’s old and too old for teens. Think about that.

    Omg you're being so overdramatic about this beef....😒😒

      He'd prefer if Kendrick and Drake exchanged tracks talking about who loves the Lord more 😂😂😂 bro needs to stop preaching on videos about rap or violent tv shows - no one is here to praise the Lord with you.

      @andrewguenther988 Welp there is another place for people who don't want to glorify the Lord...🤷🏾‍♂️ You do have options. I won't force you to do anything.

      @edn sir you watch Game of Thrones....so what are YOU glorifying? Do you even understand what happens in a rap beef??

      @@Skrappy ma’am (if that’s what you are) if you watched my reactions to the series then you would know my commentary between that and this has not wavered and anything crazy that comes up we skip right in past that mess. I told y’all from the jump my background in rap beef and how limited it was or did you skip over that just how I skip over GoT stuff?

    I see you another person online doing a dissertation about something you know nothing about. How can you come to all these conclusions and have not listened to the man's music? Just say that you are a Drake Glazer and call it a day. And just look online since you're not convinced of the things Kendrick said about Drake and his allegations with young people.😊😊 Do some research before you get out here making yourself look,... well you know.

      I’ve taken the time to listen to several of his songs. Most of his albums are labeled with advisories. Stop. I can show you lyrics if you’d like?
