Hey Patrick this is your trapping friend Dave Schmitz in North Pole. It is about 65 above outside and I am enjoying watching you on the trapline at -65. Only in Alaska. I enjoy your videos and appreciate that you are my brother in Jesus. Stay safe and have a good summer. Dave

Wow great season so far. Certainly cool enough up there. Almost like that lynx knew you’d get em if he didn’t skeedaddle. I hope everything is going well and your family is doing great. May the good lord shine his light on you and yours👍👍
Yeah every winter is another adventure. That cat was hunting as well. The family is doing well and were always busy. Thanks for watching and God Bless you and your family as well. 🙏
Yeah sorry about that. As soon as it uploaded and was processed we released it. Ill try to let you know ahead of time for the next one. Thanks for watching bro 🫡
Yeah definitely cold. Thank God for the modern 4 stroke snow machines. 2 strokes are very touchy at those temps. Thanks for watching and commenting, take care
Good to see another video, brother. That's some cold weather! 2 lynx is a good day. Could always be better, but could also be worse. Best wishes to you!
Great run man ! Beautiful fur on those Lynx :) Everything has to keep moving to eat & keep from freezing to death ! I use to run a pretty big line back in the day but -30 told me to stay at the cabin 🥶👍
Thanks! Yeah awesome cats. What animals did you go after on your trapline? With these new snowmachines -30 doesn’t effect them as bad as 2 stroke machines.
@@enigmaticgwichin1630 Ya i trapped with a 93 Tundra then a 98, Lots of martin fisher wolverine lynx fox red& cross coyotes wolves mink rats & beaver A little of everything in my area, I trapped full time for 8 years but part time for 25 just love the bush, I have lots of video's of my tours out cutting firewood or out for a ride but haven't trapped in a few years now,

@@enigmaticgwichin1630 awesome! Didn’t know if you strapped hand warmers or something to it! Haha look me up if you ever make it to Fairbanks. I venture up to your part of the world a few times a year would be fun to shoot the shit.
I don’t think I have enough clothes to wear for that temperature. Do you have a favorite brand ? Do you wear coveralls or extra long underwear ? What coat do you wear?
Carhartts are one of the consistent brands I use. Its not the top of the line but its kept me warm down to -66. In this video i have thermal underwear, insulated blue jeans then carhartt overalls. On top im wearing thermal long sleeve, long sleeve shirt, insulated flannel sweater then the carhartt jacket on top of that. In my moose skin boots i have 2 boot liner insoles and two pairs of thick wool socks. For my hands i wear Carhartt pipeline gloves that have inner liner pair of thermal gloves inside and a extra large pair on moose skin mitts over that. I have two facemasks under a xl bandanna. With that gear i dont even need to put my beaver hat on. Its actually a problem of getting to warm and sweating when this well geared up. Thanks for asking. God Bless
@@AlaskanAdventures907 yeah we haven’t hit -70 like that in a couple decades. I just subbed your channel. I have a few kore trapping videos filmed just no time to edit
