People just don't understand, he knowledge of basketball concepts far exceed her teammates or even her coach! Half of her turnovers come from her teammates. She would have DOUBLE the assists she has now if her teammates could make the open shots. She would also have less turnovers if she had teammates who could see the blitz coming to her and act accordingly. She would have more points if her teammates knew how to set a damn screen. So on the Olympic team with top level talent, she would fit right in! The issue with CC is she is far more advanced than her whole team!
Its so funny when they say Clark brings up the ratings to the WNBA but but whenever they talk about her, it’s never about her game or the sport. It’s about controversial topics. They don't even mention her latest game that she played in.
The number one priority for these leagues and owners is making money that’s the primary goal. You can’t have it both ways when you had women complaining about equal pay and more exposure but now they resent the type of exposure one player is generating.
You're talking about two amazing, proven winners. Gray is the best PG on the planet. And BG is coming back from injury. She should be ready for the Olympics. Tonight was her second game back: 25 pts, 9 rbs, 58% FG. She is certified. We know what to expect performance wise. Same for Chelsey Gray.

The WNBA wants people to watch their games more, but you don't put the most watched women's basketball player in the last 20 years on the Olympic team?😅😅😅
One key item in USA Basketball's mission statement is "Its mission is to promote, grow, and elevate the game of basketball." Women's basketball is at a critical moment in time with its best and most popular female ambassador they have ever had. Dream team took Bird and Magic who were essentially retired and not top 12 to the Olympics because they didn't need them to win games and their inclusion would popularize the sport immensely. And that's why the men never had to beg for viewers or complain about being under compensated.
@IowaRocker81 Superhuman, really ? Now I know you are off your rocker. Win a championship first . Oh, I forgot that Angel Reese. I guess Angel has the Krptonite, lol.
Clearly these two guys don’t watch any WNBA games. I don’t blame them cause the games are hard to watch. They are just going on the stats. CC has no chance to shine given the absolute and complete incompetence of the fever. There are no nba franchises who have that level of incompetency. It’s hard to imagine how bad they are.
Team USA messed up big time. With Clark & Reese on the team they could have expanded the popularity of the WNBA that they complain every day is struggling. If it was just about 'integrity of the game' then why televise the games at all?? This is idiotic, and it's why I'm not watching the WNBA or the women's USA team. I'll watch the men though. They put POPULAR players on that team.
When you hear Rebecca Lobo explain the process which has taken place, training camps, international competitions, she was in college & could not be part of those camps over the last 2 years. As Lobo asked, who would you take off the team? Another question, is she 1 of the 12 best women players? Her being on the team is a due to her being a draw here marketing the WNBA & her popularity in the USA, we don't know on a international stage.

@@tammyboon6259 its good to hear your take on this issue as a international fan. Here in the States, we only get the numbers of Clark's impact on a domestic front. Her popularity isn't the question. It’s amazing Chris Broussard just contradicted itself. He made an excuse for Shaquille O’Neal not making the Olympic team. They don’t always pick the best player, but then you wanna have leeway for Clayton and Clark for not playing well and making the Olympic team make it make sense.
It's disturbing to see the black people not understand the business behind Clark not being selected - but the white's see it clearly as an golden opportunity for this W league to be put on center stage. Also, NBC and other people want to see Clark, not the other lesbian crap on the team (except for Sabrina and Plum who's straight).

HERE ARE 10 REASONS WHY CAITLIN CLARK SHOULD ON THE OLYMPIC TEAM *I'm not an WNBA fan so my opinion comes from a common sense perspective.* *1) Clark was the women's NCAA basketball Player Of The Year* *2) She was the No. 1 overall Draft Pick* *3) She Will most likely be the WNBA Rookie Of The Year* *4) She Is currently the Face Of The WNBA* *5) She's Top 20 in the WNBA, can play and hold her own *6) She Is the American and International #1 WNBA fan favorite* *7) Her presence & participation increases WNBA visibility & Olympic viewership* *8) She brings more curiosity to Women's Pro Basketball* *9) Game viewership both on TV and in the stadium increases* *10) More advertising, revenue, jersey sales and recognition comes to the players* *Clark has enough cachet to be on Women's Olympic Basketball team and the U.S Women can still win the Gold Metal and still reap all the benefits, her taking another players spot won't be detrimental to the team accomplishing it's goal, how can anyone not cease a gifted opportunity, capitalized on it and just go with it, because it makes to much sense?*
Diana terasi needed to be on another team lol give me a break but I'm glad she gets some rest now she needs a basketball coach because I don't know sides is but she os not a coach
I'm a huge CC fan I have been following her since HS but they already have Sabrina & Plum along with DT who can also play off guard and forward so what I am saying is they already have her spot covered! And Chris you are right about Caitlin is actually having a great yr by rookie and good by vets stance!! And she turns the ball over more than most because the coach makes her over dribble and she is the best shooter as the point guard she has the ball in her hand way too much!!!
They should have had Caitlin, Reka, Angel , Cameron on the team, they probably beat any European team, excellent shooting, great rebounding, how exciting would that have been

Shes on the worst team. Shed make every player on the USA that much better. And vice versa. Read a freakin book for once
Because they're becoming toxic.
The ratings have nothing to do with sports talk topics
The number one priority for these leagues and owners is making money that’s the primary goal. You can’t have it both ways when you had women complaining about equal pay and more exposure but now they resent the type of exposure one player is generating.
And it's funny how sports debate shows never talked about how low the NBA ratings are
Griner should have been DISQUALIFIED from TEAM USA
Not much marketing savvy in women's basketball
2 players chosen on the team have missed almost the entire season, stop it Rob
You're talking about two amazing, proven winners. Gray is the best PG on the planet. And BG is coming back from injury. She should be ready for the Olympics. Tonight was her second game back: 25 pts, 9 rbs, 58% FG. She is certified. We know what to expect performance wise. Same for Chelsey Gray.
5 beat down LGBTQ women were in charge of making this team, not to mention a coach from an opposing team who’s already been on Twitter hating on her, but I’m supposed to believe there’s no jealousy? Come on fellas. Also, Brittany Greiner being on the team is a bit of a slap in the face.
Kelsey plum made the team tho.... But okay
It's about winning... she's not a better player than either of them
Average Trump supporter mind set. Suppose Clark for obvious reason and hate on the other players for other reason.

In all the Shaq talk we forget that Christian Laetner was a decent Nba player.
We forget that Laetner had a better college career than Shaq

but when they brought back Magic that had HIV and wasn't even in the league to the dream team..
it was black empowerment... ..lol this is crazy..
No one cared about lattner on that team when you got jordan, barkely, magic, bird, ewing etc headling. Plenty of great college players ended up mediocre in the nba. No one knew shaq would for sure be dominant even though it sounds ridiculous to say lol
Idk if there's a woman's soccer league, but our USA woman's team gets a lot of publicity cause they win... Caitlin definitely could've boost woman's basketball. Cuz I didn't even know we won 7 straight gold medals

Can't be racism when it's black, white, and a player that refuses to play for her national team lol

Yeah we can all agree there but not sure what type of racist you referred to can you clarify
Well good thing institutionalized racism doesn’t exist
When we talk about the wnba, notice how we NEVER actually talk about basketball? Thats why the league is a joke. The stupidity around the game is more interesting than the actual game they’re poorly attempting to play.
Lol so tired of people dancing around the REAL issues(s). Truth is those jealous lesbians don't want her on the team and would rather the league not grow in large part to Caitlin so they're willing to take the financial hit. I also think DT pulled a Jordan 😂 didn’t see her zoom video exposing why she wasn’t on the team? As if she was the president of the committee smh she was smiling explaining it and looked satisfied the girl wasn’t on the team
Stop the Cap what number 1 player wants to give up there trophy for the 10th player because they bring more money or views to the game? As an athlete that would be absurd.

Considering the marketing impact and overall revenue loss (both in jersey & product sales and viewership), Team USA should have included Caitlin Clark.
How does anyone find this too hard to understand?
i didn't even know that they won 7 gold medals 7 in a row ..untill now...lol
The Puig comparison is not even close. The impact he had to the league is NOTHING compared to the impact Clark has made to women’s basketball
This is a non issue pre social media era 😂🤣😅
Heres my question for Chris ? Why move the goal post for the white female basketball player?
Because she has super human talent in drilling long threes that deserves the Olympic stage

Because she has the key to the billionaire's deep pockets to get them the money they've been crying about for 27 years.
You should have watched the 1973 sixer's. nine victories.
I am sure you and the 10 other WNBA fans rocking jerseys will be surely missed 😂
When you hear Rebecca Lobo explain the process which has taken place, training camps, international competitions, she was in college & could not be part of those camps over the last 2 years. As Lobo asked, who would you take off the team? Another question, is she 1 of the 12 best women players? It’s amazing Chris Broussard just contradicted itself. He made an excuse for Shaquille O’Neal not making the Olympic team. They don’t always pick the best player, but then you wanna have leeway for Clayton and Clark for not playing well and making the Olympic team make it make sense.
The leeway is the world wants to see Clark come in garbage time and drill some logo threes. Such a wasted opportunity

Diana Taurasi is stealing money at this point 😂. Woman been playing since forever. her rookie season was the same year as Kanye DEBUT album. Let the new generation eat sheesh. She turned 42 today 😂

I’m with Chris 100%
HERE ARE 10 REASONS WHY CAITLIN CLARK SHOULD ON THE OLYMPIC TEAM
*I'm not an WNBA fan so my opinion comes from a common sense perspective.*
*1) Clark was the women's NCAA basketball Player Of The Year*
*2) She was the No. 1 overall Draft Pick*
*3) She Will most likely be the WNBA Rookie Of The Year*
*4) She Is currently the Face Of The WNBA*
*5) She's Top 20 in the WNBA, can play and hold her own
*6) She Is the American and International #1 WNBA fan favorite*
*7) Her presence & participation increases WNBA visibility & Olympic viewership*
*8) She brings more curiosity to Women's Pro Basketball*
*9) Game viewership both on TV and in the stadium increases*
*10) More advertising, revenue, jersey sales and recognition comes to the players*
*Clark has enough cachet to be on Women's Olympic Basketball team and the U.S Women can still win the Gold Metal and still reap all the benefits, her taking another players spot won't be detrimental to the team accomplishing it's goal, how can anyone not cease a gifted opportunity, capitalized on it and just go with it, because it makes to much sense?*
I wouldn’t know 80% of the women’s Olympic roster if it wasn’t for CC.
They should have had Caitlin, Reka, Angel , Cameron on the team, they probably beat any European team, excellent shooting, great rebounding, how exciting would that have been
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I believe Caitlin Clark being on the team, would have been a great way to bond with other women in the w.
As a-Blackman… Veteran; not that my master status should matter- who served more than 20-years the U.S. Air Force I won’t be watching Team USA Women compete for the gold medal in basketball because if we are truly talking individuals on the women’s basketball team representing US then Brittney Griner definitely shouldn’t be on team USA with her history of not standing up during the playing of our National Anthem to show respect for the US Flag which is proudly displayed during the Olympics! As for earning a spot on the women’s Olympics roster Caitlin Clark’s résumé for the WNBAs 2024 is better than Diana Taurasi’s! So the Olympics selection committee and all they WOKE women alleged sports analysts with their biased attitude toward Caitlin Clark need to stop all the excuses… The LGBTQ and these entitled black WNBA led players need to stop this nonsense and their jealousy and covert racism towards Caitlin Clark. Let’s see if they play “prison basketball! Like they have engaged in with Caitlin Clark… against the women on the opposing Country teams they face in the Olympics?! The bottom line is that this is a business and when the powers to be leave their most marketable player there’s definitely a need for some soul searching! I can see why the WNBA hasn’t turn a profit since their inception more than 25-years ago. They don’t understand that they’re in the entertainment business! But being “the crab people” league that they are… none of us should be surprised. Enough said!

Harden averaged 4 Turnovers but he has 11 assist per game. Clark is averaging 6 To 6 assist so that assist to turnover ratio is horrible and that comparison make no sense.
The women's game naturally has a lot more turnovers, not being sexist it's just a fact
Lol. Watch the WNBA games and don't compare to NBA.

All I know is that I’m going to be 50 years old this year, and I never saw a WNBA game until Caitlin Clark showed up. And I’m not a Caucasian guy neither. If the players want to grow their income from beyond $250,000 a year in top tier salary, they need people like me to be interested in filling seats, purchasing fan gear, and watching games on tv. Without marketing the product, you don’t get to the endgame of the desired outcome. The women need to stop being jealous of their own and don’t kill the goose who is laying the golden egg for them.
The US Olympic committee could have taken the 3 worst American players in the WNBA and still won..
Everyone arguing they missed a opportunity to grow the game should go out and watch it and keep promoting it to keep the eyes on it like they want....if they Wana grow the game it's east just go promote other players like you do Clark
