I just bought a pack of those DMV2's crossbow and 3 bmp's. I shoot a 410 fps crossbow and i only had to adjust my scope 2 clicks down because i try for a 1 inch circle at 50. I was very impressed with them. Ive been shooting g5 montecs for almost 20 years and am just looking for a better blood trail from the point after impact. Good video.
@@JRsVsO thank you. I hope you have awesome success. I know I have with a compound bow and now plan to move to a crossbow with them so my fingers are crossed
Shoot the phase 4 70lbs 30 inch draw length. Shooting the dead meat v1. The BMP shoots exactly the same as my field tips. Haven’t shot the actual broad head yet. Probably worth checking just to make sure.
Not impressed with THE SAFETY houses in the background and a car going by in the start of the video with no backstop but a fence with holes big enough to see the car go by ??
@@gmatthewpaul sweet please let me know how you do. That’s almost my setup. 62 lb. draw 28 in draw length. 278 fps. So please let me know how it works out
I think so. And it wouldn’t hurt to try it the other way. Even though that may get expensive if they track the same. Lol. I’m going to try it. Thank you
@@groundrootsoutdoors627 or if u shoot the broadhead first then aim the bmp where u were aiming the broadhead because what I see is ur broadhead hits high left and ur bmp hits with ur sired in field point
@@user-sp9hy8tq4j yup I do but that’s where the guarantee vitals are. That’s why I punished these mechanicals and they held their own I was quite impressed. Seriously I’m glad you caught that. Thank you
@groundrootsoutdoors627 I tried something like this yesterday and was getting pretty close to the same point of impact as my field point with the actual broadhead at 20 yards. I tried it at 40 and it didn't hit the same. It possibly could have been me.
Nice review, I subscribed to the channel! Just a minor point, you're shooting the original G5 Deadmeat, not the V2 as the title suggests. The original Deadmeat (ones you show) have a little bump in the blade while the V2 has a notch which clips into the plastic retaining ring. I also shoot the original Deadmeat and they're killers for sure!
Thank you for subscribing yeah I was looking at that the other day I grabbed the wrong box I have an old package of Deadmeat and that’s what I grabbed thank you for that. It just means I get to do a redo on the video. That’s just fine with me. Lol. Thanks again sir
@@groundrootsoutdoors627 no problem! I noticed the original Deadmeat heads are selling at $10 off on G5's website. Great deal in my opinion. Shot a buck with one last fall that double lunged him and stopped in the ball of the offside shoulder. Ran 50 yards and crashed!

Deadmeat FTW, imho.
Chief you need to go to northern tool and get some horse mats for your back stop....
It doesn’t matter where bmp hits u doing it backwards , u need to see if head can chase the bmp not other way around
This year I'm hunting with my Triax.
I'm waiting for my outfitter to send me a
care package now.
Sweet keep me posted on your season
Why does it sound like the predator is hanging over your shoulder while filming this?
@@brentbandy3566 🤣🤣🤣 those are cicadas. Some people call them locusts but they aren’t giant grasshoppers. Lol
😂
Nice shooting. I got to shoot with my cousin last week, fun. 🏹🤠👍
What’s going on AG. There is something therapeutic about archery but getting to shoot with friends and family, priceless

Man I would love to try a Mathew’s bow but they don’t fit me right. Lol but I do suggest you sacrifice one head just to make sure

Elk broadhead? 62lb 29.5 inch draw, Easton 6.5 Matrix 439 grain arrow, 283 fps with deadmeat we gunna find out?

No bueno! Faafo! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Hell just use the mega meat and aim for the shoulder blade!!!! Good to go! Smh
U shoulda aimed bmp where u aimed g5 instead of chasing the g5 with the practice tip ! Am I making sense?

Was really interested in this but the rattle snake sounds in the background were too much to make it through more than 3 minutes of the video…
Thank you for sharing but please what do you mean by rattlesnake sounds so I can fix it?
Probably not a good idea to shoot towards a street where kids play and people walk and drive by without some sort of added back stop
Since this video I have acquired some sheet metal for this very purpose thank you for your concern I used to line the dumpsters in front of the gate.
U hug that shoulder way too tight to use any mech imo!

What was the distance
20 and 25. Honestly I should’ve shot it at least at 30yds
