I really liked the simplicity & thoroughness of this video! This was my first experience trying to dip & after "prepping" my nails, they were shorter than normal. I was able to follow along step by step & I'm happy with the outcome! Thank you!!
Granted, I'm not on Tik Tok, but I do know a lot about dip powder. The only difference seems to be the order in which you build up the apex of the nail, which is typically done first (with natural or clear coat and then you work up to the cuticle with color dips. So it's in a slightly different order - It doesn't seem to create a different outcome, so I'm not sure of the point. Is this actually trending on Tik Tok? (This is not meant to be an attack on you, so sorry if I seem like a grumpy old women - just the idea that this is some sort of "trend" boggles my mind. It's not saving time or creating a different outcome.) Oh well, thanks for the video, and I do like that color a lot. You did a great job with your application.
Hello, thanks for your comment! You are absolutely correct, it is very similar to the apex method and provides the same result. It was a video that went viral on TikTok that I figured I would try out!🙂
I always love seeing videos of all the different ways people do their nails! Thanks for sharing! But I have to know… where did you get your lil steady, finger stand thingymajig??? I have a friend who struggles to keep her hand steady when doing her nails and that would be perfect for her!
Great video! I like that it is straight to the point, while also giving great directions. I'm new to dip and was wondering, if I want to use a clear powder on top, would I add another layer, or replace your last layer of color with the clear?
I am so glad you found it helpful! I would say it depends on how the color looks. If the color is how you want it before the last layer, you could replace it with a clear layer. If it is not, you could add on a last layer of clear. Just make sure you use a thin coat of base so the nail doesn’t get too think!
I will have to try the Virgo and Gem. I have one from Amazon that is SOOOOO thick. I bought a basic kit just to try but I feel like it’s hard to keep it thin
Changing to thinner liquids made the biggest difference for me after I started dipping! It makes doing my nails so much easier and requires less buffing. Definitely give them a try!🙂
I have another brand I use. I am not happy with the base coat of that brand. It gets sticky and thick even after wiping my brush off on a paper towel. Do you think I could use the base coat of this brand until I use up the activator and top coat of the other brand? Could I mix them?
This method is the same as the other methods, just the order is different. I would think you should start with the partial coverage and end with the full coverage. That would make them smoother.
This is method of doing dip called the Tiktok method! The goal is to help build strength on short nails (very similar to building an apex). It is 4 dips of color but it’s not covering the entire nail each time, so it ends up being just perfect. These lasted on my nails for around 3 weeks!🙂
Wow, great video! Your nails look like you came out of a salon! They look beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
That is so sweet! Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed the video!💕
One of the BEST dip videos 🫶🏻🩷

I was wondering the same thing. Even if there's no real point, her results looked really nice.

Thank you so much for watching! I got it from a small business called Liquid Layers! They make all kind of nail accessories that are super useful!🙂
@@RaeNailCo perfect! Thanks for sharing!
You can get them in Amazon
Right off the bat, within 15 seconds, I love the idea of the cupcake liner! I’ve been using paper towels but it’s still such a mess! Great idea!
Beautiful! But I don’t like Virgo and gem I have lifting all the time so I stop using them
Thank you!🙂 I am so sorry to hear that, I hope you find liquids that work well for you!
Beautiful

Nicely done!
Thank you!
I have such a difficult time with my shirt nails. The chip o the ends because my nails are so thin even when I cap the ends. :(
Give this method a try and see if it helps! It should help with strength and reduce chipping!🙂
Where did you get the "finger holder" where you place your finger to paint? I would love to get one. :)
You can get them on Amazon.

Very pretty
What is the point of doing it this way? 4 dips of colour seems like a lot.

It’s called apex method most people to that first with clear dip then going over with color.
What brand are the little buffing blocks?
I got them in bulk on Amazon! I don’t think there was a specific brand.🙂
How come for the second coat of dip you don't paint the nail completely?.
I see this also first time and I have seen 100 videos.Nobody is doing like this. And first of all she should do clear coat first then color layer 🤗
@@jovanah.5342 I agree
It’s go build the apex
@@StylesbyCBH it's kind of like apex but different. however, same idea
@@StylesbyCBH it's the 3/4 method
So it's a reverse apex method?
It is be layer of dip on the nail first followed by the apex method!🙂
Beautiful 🥰
Thank you so much!🙂
Next time you do a video could you get closer, like zoom in more on what you're doing on this nail instead of all the background?
Yes! I can definitely try that next time!🙂
@@RaeNailCo thanks, it was just a little difficult to see where exactly you put those first few layers on the nail 😊
The $5 for virgo ....doesn't work.
Great tutorial- tips for speaking....natural speaking without the you tube pause-
Yeah that’s way too many steps for me.
Why a lot people do dip power nail, they look to thick and the fingers look fat , sorry
