Been super sick this last week and just wanted to say finding your channel was HUGE for me. Definitely brought back such a flood of awesome memories and me and my boys are going for the first time this Friday to go hunting! Thank you so much for the content!
Bro, you just took me back with that cool world movie. I completely forgot about it until this video! It's really crazy how you spot dvds like that. I try and spot movies from the spine, but for some reason it just all blurs together into a big middle finger. Lol
When PlayStation 2 launched Sony wanted to push DVDs and have different type of gaming experience using the dvd format…they came out with interactive games for the system to support dvd…same thing they kinda did with Blu ray and 3D Blu ray with PlayStation 3. I grew up during those days, born in 84…but basically they’re more and it was used to push the dvd format on the ps2.
if you ever play the shooting arcade game, "Lethal Enforcers," Mad Dog is similar to that arcade game during the early 90s. However it is more about how quick you draw type of arcade game
i love the Alpha Video release dvds, most of them are super obscure movies that have never been printed or wont be printed ever again. Most are pre 1970s
Mad Dog was an arcade game. I think it was laserdisc based. They had this one and another. I played it once. It wasn't great but wasn't too bad either. Reminds me of Dodge Viper on the arcade. it was the same style of game.
@@retrorick I played mad dog mcgree alot at an arcade here in sweden, its was so cheesy an fun! But at that time kinda insane a game with real characters.
Mad Dog Mcree and its sequel were light gun laserdisc arcade games. As you can tell, live footage was used. These games were actually filmed just like a regular production, but each scene had a different outcome based on your marksmanship. Playing in the arcade with an actual gun was not only a real treat but a crap ton easier than the DVD versions. I had the PS2 version and since it was NOT light gun compatible, you had to move a cursor on the screen with the directional buttons and press the OK/Enter button on the remote which acted like the trigger. The major downfall is by the time you got the cursor on the bad guy, you were already shot which made the home versions an absolute nightmare to play. The company also released a murder mystery game type game titled "Who Shot Johnny Rock?" That one tanked. After they released Johnny, they had already started production on one that portrayed you as a DEA agent stopping people from bringing drugs into the country. Production was halted, when Johnny was a complete flop in the arcades. But since the arcade versions were published on laserdisc, Johnny was already produced on DVD but did not sell well at all just like Mad Dog II. Which makes those two DVD games needles in a haystack. In my opinion, the best Laserdisc arcade games that were converted to DVD for interactive gameplay are Dragon's Lair and its sequel, and Space Ace.
I played the mad dog game in a arcade back in the day. And fun fact wild America is the story of a 90s legend ...Marty Stouffer, had a wild animal show and was called... you guessed it Marty Stouffer's wild America! My all time favorite TV show as a kid. Still holds up, like watching Bob Ross for wild animals.
I saw those Super Bowl tickets and I was like "I have those!!!" I went to that Super Bowl in Atlanta when I was a kid. Back when you didn't have to mortgage your house to go to one. Want to say the tickets were like $150 a piece back then for our seats.
My favorite thing you found was definitely the Wild America movie! Brings me back to being a little kid watching it when it came out, I just watched it for the 1st time in years a few months back, they have the full movie on UA-cam here, everyone I ask about the movie anymore hasn't seen or heard of it, they can get some of that "good ol' mountain dew" ha! 😂
I'm surprised RetroRick doesn't know about laserdisc games. These are retro and part of a small set of games like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace which were made on laserdisc back in the 90's. Hard to come by and that's a fun game. Look into it Rick as you may consider keeping it in your collection!
Mad Dog for CD-i is also worth quite a bit. Myself got it for the Wii. Pretty fun game and you really gotta be freakin fast with the remote to shoot them enemies.
I never played hot shots tennis back then but I love tennis games playing them for a couple years ago I had the opportunity to buy it on ps4 for like idk 4-8 on sale I still play it still fun
Hey don't know if you have been but in fayetville arkansas there is and arcade called Arcadia you 100% have to go to its like hundreds of the classic cabnits

Mad Dog II is a sequel to Mad Dog McCree. Both were released as DVDs that are "compatible" with a PS2. Because the PS2 came with a DVD inside and there were actually quite a few of those choose your own adventure type games that were originally laserdiscs that were ported to DVD and advertised as PS2 compatible. I have mad dog 2 on the 3D0. The one you found probably plays on any DVD player. I think they also made who shot Johnny Rock. I think it was released on the ps3, Wii, and Sega CD also. I played the first one in arcades. It's a light gun game. You can use a controller to move around a cursor but it's not the best way to play It of course
I find it interesting when you put the sold comps on the screen because its obviously a little different with the Canadian/American $ exchange. Its harder in Canada selling some things. Deffinitly lower end video games/sports cards.
