Thank you for the review. I only bought these binoculars a few weeks ago. The moon, especially the super moon, was beautiful, as you said. I got a decent tripod and a ball head. Finding the object while looking through the binoculars is the only issue, as you mentioned. To make my life easier, I'll swap out the head for a fluid one.
yes it just takes a bit longer to pinpoint stuff due to the narrower field. i agree however, the views are great. my fav object in these is Andromeda. way more enjoyable to view it than with a scope.
i just took a peek at jupiter and saturn now using this big boys. i was planning on taking a look at andromeda but, i was just hand holding them, too lazy to bring out the tripod, thus, failed to spot andromeda. then i remembered that jupiter and saturn are already up and about so i took a shot. saw jupiter with her 4 moons. jupiter was too bright to see any features. then i pointed this to saturn. it was just a speck but i did see the rings and the spaces between then and the planet itself. will be going out again this weekend, this time with my tripod. will also be bringing out my scope for a much better view. i purchased my binos from somebody in facebook marketplace for $180.
I just ordered these since I can’t get a telescope. They should be here by Friday, I hope they’re not late. I’ll see if the tripod I have will be able to handle it. Want to get back into the hobby. Thanks for the video.
I also own the 8SE and the binos reviewed here, and yes, they compliment each other nicely. Don't expect the same magnification, of course, but some heavenly bodies don't require as fine levels of details to be enjoyed. If you can get them at a bargain, you'll never regret them, and will probably end up using them for more than just astronomy. Bonus. Stay safe!
This is a clickbait video… The label said 100x25 binoculars, (the first number, 100, suppose to be the magnification power, 100 times normal view) Unfortunately, upon watching the video, the binoculars turned out to be 25x100… That’s should have been the label instead.
Here’s a lesson on how it works, so you can avoid a misunderstanding in the future. 100x magnification would look very bad through 25 mm lenses. The max viewable magnification through the objective lens can be found by multiplying the size of the lens in mm by 2 (make sure it’s in mm). So the max viewable magnification for 25 mm lenses would be 50x. If you see a telescope or binoculars that do not abide by this, it is not a reputable source.

Well...
Just looking at the photo you can tell that the objective lenses are not 25mm. Click bait? Nah...just an error.
I thought something didn't sound quite right there🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
