    Always gets me the moment Forrest realizes that's his child. He's so scared, not because of the responsibility, but because his little boy might suffer from the same thing he does. The only thing he was concerned with in that moment was whether or not his child was healthy and whole.

    My mom looked exactly like Sally Field when we were kids and were convinced she had a secret movie career, it freaked us out. I sincerely cried when she died for the longest time. And that's all I have to say about that...Tom Hanks is absolutely brilliant, even when playing a local idiot. When LT. Dan comes with his magic legs to the wedding made from the same material as the space shuttle...the next year they were in Apollo 13th together! One of the most clever, hilarious, heartfelt films ever...

    Forrest Gump" is a heartwarming film that combines elements of drama, comedy, and historical commentary. Its a 1994 American comedy-drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis, based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The cast led by Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump, alongside Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Sally Field, and Mykelti Williamson.

    Young people always ask why Jenny didn't call Forrest when his son was born. I guess growing up in a world with cell phones people don't realize there was a time when if somebody was not at their home, you could not reach them. Forrest was running across America for a couple of years. It was not until Jenny saw Forrest on TV that she even knew she could contact him. She sent the letter so that if and when he came home he would see it.

  • @fredpace7514

    I feel sorry for Forrest. He waits for her for probably about 10 years while she's out trying to find herself and in the process gets an incurable disease. She finally contacts Forrest when she learns that she's going to die and she needs someone to raise Little Forrest after she's gone. Forrest was there for her whenever she needed him but she always left. He ended up having Jenny for a few months at best. I wonder if she ever would have told Forrest that he had a son if she wasn't going to die.

    I couldn't explain it, but I would say that when Jenny leaves after daring to spend the night with him, Forrest starts to run... I think that in some way he felt that he was in some kind of trouble, and he did what Jenny told him: don't try to be brave, just run... 🙄Could it be?🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @eluv9660
      @eluv9660 2 місяці тому +1

      He clearly says that his mama told him that you have to put the past behind you before you can move forward. That is what he did by running.

    • @AH87saxo
      @AH87saxo 2 місяці тому +1

      It refers to that as you say, but I don't remember (maybe it's my bad memory 😅) just arguing about running or associating it with that story...
      Leaving the past behind to face the future, it could be… but then if I leave the past behind, wouldn’t Jenny be a part of it and everything she remembers in the movie?
      If you have to close the past in order to move forward, since Jenny left and theoretically did that to “close the story”, why did he go to see her as soon as she asked him to? I think it’s possible it’s like you say, but I’m more convinced by the idea of running away so as not to act brave in a difficult situation, like he must have felt when she left him right after spending so many happy days and just the night before with him…
      It would be a difficult and hard situation, and instead of facing it and wanting to be a “hero”, he ran… he stopped doing it when possibly the pain he felt was less or whatever you could say…

    • @eluv9660
      @eluv9660 2 місяці тому +1

      @@AH87saxo he ran because it was a coping mechanism for the hurt he felt when the love of his life abandoned him. Took him over 3 years to get over the pain.

    24:12 Non. Tom Hanks n'a pas appris à jouer. Il a simplement imité les gestes en écoutant un métronome à des vitesses différents selon les plans. La balle est entièrement générée par ordinateur en post-production. Et comme tous les effets spéciaux révolutionnaires qu'on voit dans ce film, le résultat est parfait, ce qui lui a valu l'un des six Oscars qu'il a reçu en 1995.

    1. The music royalties alone must have cost a small fortune🤑🤑🤑🤑
    2. Kurt Russell did the voice for Elvis.
    3. As a retired sailor, boats/ships need a female name.
    4. Having gotten his degree Forrest would have gone into the Army as an officer like Lt. Dan. Not a recruit. His ASVAB kills that.
    5. He actually saved Lt Dan twice. Once in the field and again to get him out of his post war funk and Dan turned his life around.
    6. Normally an enlisted Army person would be fully aware of his/her separation date.
    7. Jenny did indeed give him the best gift ever (it wasn't the shoes)😈
    8. Jenny died of Hep-C from dirty needles when she was in Caliphony..
    9. It's ironic that Lt. Dan told the guys to take care of their feet because he loses his.
    10. At the rally Forrest says, "There's only one thing I can say about Vietnam. Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don't go home at all. That's a bad thing. That's all I have to say about that."
    11. You have had a ride through recent US history and culture. From Elvis, John Lennon, Abby Hoffman to Vietnam and Watergate. Even the jogging craze of the 70's. About the only thing left out was streaking.
    12. Observation: Bubba's not a small dude. Forrest carries him with a bullet in his ass.😲
    13. Sometimes, I guess there're just aren't enough rocks"🥺
    14. Haley Joel Osmentt/Forrest Jr. steals the show in "The Sixth Sense" with Bruce Willis.🤩
    15. When he's finishing a segment about death, he ends it by saying "That's all I have to say about that"
    16 Keep in mind if Jenny wasn't wasting her life seeking men like her father and was with Forrest he/we wouldn't have had this incredible journey.
