Always gets me the moment Forrest realizes that's his child. He's so scared, not because of the responsibility, but because his little boy might suffer from the same thing he does. The only thing he was concerned with in that moment was whether or not his child was healthy and whole.

And that's all I have to say about that...Tom Hanks is absolutely brilliant, even when playing a local idiot. When LT. Dan comes with his magic legs to the wedding made from the same material as the space shuttle...the next year they were in Apollo 13th together! One of the most clever, hilarious, heartfelt films ever...

I couldn't explain it, but I would say that when Jenny leaves after daring to spend the night with him, Forrest starts to run... I think that in some way he felt that he was in some kind of trouble, and he did what Jenny told him: don't try to be brave, just run... 🙄Could it be?🤷🏻♂️

Leaving the past behind to face the future, it could be… but then if I leave the past behind, wouldn’t Jenny be a part of it and everything she remembers in the movie? If you have to close the past in order to move forward, since Jenny left and theoretically did that to “close the story”, why did he go to see her as soon as she asked him to? I think it’s possible it’s like you say, but I’m more convinced by the idea of running away so as not to act brave in a difficult situation, like he must have felt when she left him right after spending so many happy days and just the night before with him… It would be a difficult and hard situation, and instead of facing it and wanting to be a “hero”, he ran… he stopped doing it when possibly the pain he felt was less or whatever you could say…

The first time I had Dr Pepper, I couldn't finish it. I found it disgusting. That was back in 1997. The following year I had a weird urge to try it again. It became my favorite soft drink. Ice cold of course. Unfortunately here in Greece I can't find it easily or cheaply enough to get it often.

I see Forrest's running as an attempt to escape and block everything out. I've had times where I just wanted to do something physically challenging just to break out my current mindset. Presumably Jenny tried to contact him, but couldn't. He was out on his own and no-one would have known exactly where he was.
