    If you are seeing this video and thinking. "Hey this video is Seven years old, I'll pass." Then you will be sorely missing out on a great story and let's play. Dave truly creates a character that you will get to know the ins and outs of, and how this character's unique personality affects they're every decision. Give it a go, you will be watching it for quite a while, and its a good ride. Leave a comment when you make it to the end of the series.

      I finished this series a little while ago and I'm now rewatching it. As silly as it sounds I was a teenager when the first episode came out, I can quite literally say I grew up with this series and it's been a fantastic journey. Even with how much this series means to me it's sad that it's over, but i'm glad it happened. Thanks Dave, this series has always been a thing to look forward to and in that spirit I can't wait to see what comes next on the channel.

    Man. I didn't realize how long ago the start of this series was. I was 19 when this came out. I was over 400ibs, in a mental downward spiral, without a job, no money,living in my family's house that was getting foreclosued and one bad day away from going crazy. Today I'm the breadwinner in my family, I'm under 350, I saved my house, I've been to therapy to help with my cocktail of mental issues and I have a support system of friends and people who I've let get close to me. This series really helped me back then and now I'm watching it again. This channel didn't save me but it sure did help me through a bad time.

      SorcererDave If I may suggest, in the spirit of the character, could you do an occasional third person breaking the fourth wall monologue every time there's something interesting or snarky? You do it most of the time as Dave, but I would love to see Fathis break the fourth wall and share his opinions. Just a suggestion, totally up to you.

    I first played Morrowind in 2004, when my parents divorced. This game helped me to cope, and really got me into RPGs. Since then, I have put thousands of hours into each of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. While the graphics and combat system has not aged well at all, it is still my favorite game and, in my opinion, the best of the Elder Scrolls games. It is so good to see a proper Let’s Play of this spectacular game. This series will be such a nostalgia trip. Well done sir!

      +Jayden Quick Although it's a bit of a leap for me to claim such; I really do think that the game Morrowind stuck with the people who created it (and those who joined Bethesda afterwards) and will always have a place in the heart of everyone it touched. +John Thomas lol Modded Morrowind>Morrowind>=Daggerfall>Modded TES games> Skyrim>Oblivion>Online>Spinoffs>Arena.
      Daggerfall had far better rpg elements then any of its sequels. As well as more refine character custimization, skill system, and magic system. Oh and it also had a better story with more branching paths. With quest that made sense and allow more freedom. The Elder Scrolls is suppose to be an RPG not a hiking/exploration sim.
      The only thing that was rg was dungeons and misc npcs. Everything else remains the same throughout every copy.

      Except you can fast travel in Morrowind. It just isn't as accessible as in Oblivion and Skyrim.
      Also, Skyrim and Morrowind are pretty similar in terms of size. However, Morrowind is bigger due to the fact that you can go ANYWHERE since you can levitate. Skyrim has a lot of dead space which you cannot reach by normal means.

      Played Morrowind for 100s of hours completly love it, but its not bigger than Skyrim, Skyrim probably has more than triple the dungeons as well.Map wize vanilla Es3 Es4 and Es5 are very close in size, played coutless hrs in all them. With dlc and mods skyrim would be the lsrgest. No mounts and lots of walking in Morrowind makes it feal larger.

    Dave I am so glad you are doing this LP; Morrowind remains my favorite of the Elder Scrolls series for a number of reasons; the depth and complexity of it's writing and story, the harshness of it's game system (at first), and all the RPG "fiddly bits" that have been stripped out of later titles. I hope you do take a long time with this LP, and am looking forward to watching this LP play out-cheers!

    And you are already aiding me with getting through the game. Actually writing a backstory first complete with a personality gives a focus and sense of direction, which is fortunate since it is very easy to get lost in this massive game.

    Good to see that almost a decade later Morrwind is still very much alive an kicking, not as much as Skyrim.. but it was at it's time a very niche game, but damn Vvardefell takes me back, was so young I had to ask my mum to go on the computer for an hour after I had done my homework haha :p
    I hope the Sky-Wind project pulls through and is just as good as Morrowind, though I definitely do not miss the god damn Dice roll attacking of 100x misses to every single low damage hit :L

    Dave for the missing table go into your Morrowind folder and delete the Morrowind\Meshes\f\Furn_De_Table_03.NIF file.
    For MGSO and Morrowind Rebirth to work together try to deactivate the some mods of MorrowindRebirth and MSGO.

      Well it's kinda hard to work it out^^

    • @OrigierdoesRPG
      @OrigierdoesRPG 8 років тому +19

      +Protoss Zerg I personally think it is, I as well came into this series with Oblivion and now I'm doing my own play through of Morrowind and I think it is a fantastic game so far, it is very in depth and there is a lot of things to do with it and it also holds importance in the lore of Tamriel.

    • @nickreif5355
      @nickreif5355 8 років тому +9

      +Protoss Zerg if your talking about the plot of the empire and the emperors, which all the other games are based around, you could say that morrowind kinda stands out in the whole spectrum in that it has nothing to do with the empire at all. All the stuff that happens in morrowind could have just as easily not happened and not effect the lore of the other games at all. If the neravarine never appeared dagoth ur would never have done anything and nothing would have changed in morrowind.
      tl;dr: no it isn't, lore wise.
      But morrowind is the best game in the franchise, so why wouldn't you.

    • @Citruss_XIII
      @Citruss_XIII 8 років тому +1

      +Mc crappymeal Some horrid speculation; I appreciate your understanding for the lore in regards to the region but I wouldn't go so far as to say "X only happened because of Y". Not to delve into causation and chaos-theory, as I'm sure this is more of an attempt to explain the Morrowind story in relation to the other core games, but Lorkhan most certainly could have destroyed the entire planet haha.

      Oh ABSOLUTELY, I'd wholly recommend getting some graphical overhaul mods, at least for the character models if you could, as those are by far the most dated part of this game. However, it is still a fantastic experience that is worth playing through.

    Dave I must warn you, I played almost the exact same character as you a few months ago with completing the house Hlaalu quests in mind but was pretty disappointed. Other than one small collection of quests (that tbh won't even fit your character) hlaalu isn't too fun. You are used as an errand boy and nothing else.
    I would strongly suggest Telvanni instead. Think about it. Already they are of the same mind set as you. Just as grumpy and cold. However your advantage is that instead of rising to power of the strongest of the three houses with force, you can introduce the Telvanni to your "democratic" imperial ways. A technique that will be much less effective to hlaalu anyway from all their dealings with the imperial colonists.
    Hope you read this in time, only mention all this because if I remember rightly you never tried hlaalu.

Jeff Baker, the man who voiced Jiub was also in Fallout but he voiced a plethora of characters, from paladins to Harkness, to scavengers. The only ghoul our dear Dunmer voiced, was Desmond Harper from Point Lookout! Some people are lore buffs, I happen to be a voice actor buff lol
