    Thanks very educational wish I was a bit closer than Troutdale, Oregon....very nice, I've been learning about this stuff for only a couple years but wow nice collection, that ruby or corundum the red one beeped yeah? ok some of the yellow got real close to 10 also very cool...I should get one of those little hardness/diamond tester's...I've got so many rock and a gem light and I've found some stuff in the Snake in S. Idaho and S. Oregon and appreciate you sharing....wow that's just really cool to see all these Native/Viking? ah all the animals you mentioned are common in clans and tales yes they are...yes I saw that huge gem field on the USGS Min. data and google earth search that shows the space imaging and I don't understand it fully...I'm in the same boat but I would definitely be interested, I've got a nice chunk of fossil coral and our ranch outside John Day, Oregon, we found...the family when they got there on covered wagons collected hundreds of arrowheads and tools and unfortunately the heirs outvoted us to sell it so what a loss...it hit hard but I couldn't do anything about it even though I tried to get them into growing medical up there before we went rec. and all my friends were making at least a quarter mill. a year depending on how big their op. was, but they were paranoid they'd lose it...but they did anyways. but Happylostsouls27...I'd like to get some for my cousin's kids as he is native to the area and they can have something from their dad's tribe or one of the few he was....survived cancer twice, 6'4" and then corona got him...he was in amazing shape and was a tree trimmer for PGE and anyone would take him cause he was amazing at his job and qualified to work with tree's on power lines anyways I'd love to get one of your specimen's from back East, some of my Snow family were on the ol' Mayflower...and we've bloodlines from The Holy Land to Rome, Sicily, Africa, he was native, I thought I was until the test but that was just my grandma who's 93 and neither of my folks did a comprehensive enough one to show the African or any Native at all, when I was clean shaven I looked like according to my Lakota medicine women/blanket wife, she thought I was a half breed and said that her first son's father was very Nordic and I have mostly Nordic blood, Dutch, German is the main one, and Scott-Irish and some ol' Viking blood with my cousin whose a Galloway is over 7. feet tall...anyways great stuff from Philly, I's love to buy something to support your continuation of collection of artifacts and uncut stones they are quite fascinating...Ok take care sorry for the long message recovering from TBI's is a tough one....the brain is amazing if you keep it free of fluoride and heavy metals and the liver and pancreas anyways...happy hunting and hope you find the source and come up with a great gem quality ruby that'll set ya for life or a collector or a wealthy tribe??? Ok Peace

    I believe you!! Hi!! I had the very same ahhHa moment TONIGHT!! That’s what brought me to your channel. I kept thinking it’s all quartz but something kept telling it’s not “just a rock” I to have tons of artifacts made out of corundum. I have some ruby in calcite matrix that light up like a neon red sign under UV light So, I knew I had rubies. Some just aren’t as strong… those will glow a light orange color under UV light. One day everyone will wake up to what they are actually walking on. Kinda like “stop and smell the roses” kinda thing. Be strong and stand your ground and keep documenting! Good work! We gonna rewrite history one day;) Rock on, one day we will say to the nonbelievers “I told ya!!” How do they not see it? I say all the time. “When ya know, ya know” ya know? I’m in Louisiana by the way.

    I live 10 miles from a kimberlite pipe. I have about 6 almost perfectly rounded yellow stones. They really look like some of the sapphires I've seen online. I truly dont think they are quartz. I have probably 70+lbs of smoky blue quartz. I'm pretty good at spotting it. A lot of red dirt on my property & 4 acres of good searching area. I like to go after a heavy rain. Plenty of low frade rubies & Corundum. These yellow spheres that look like palm stones are different & have no cleavage to them. I truly think they could be sapphires! I love holding them wet, to the sun. Amazing to look at. One of them is almost perfectly clear & yellow.
    I live in Virginia, and I believe I found a 15ct Spessartine. It has similar properties to the yellow ones, no cleavage, & no nicks or breakage like quartz. It's beautifully orange. And shaped like a stubby rectangle.
    Do you have an email, or number I could send you pictures & get your opinion on it? If it is... I'll probably be spending all of my time digging my hill. 😅.

      14:21 The yellow rock in the middle is what they resemble. Same color except for one which is perfectly amber colored. I really think they are the same.

    • @happylostsouls3327
      @happylostsouls3327  3 місяці тому

      Yeah we have a ton of yellow a lot of it's more opaque I found a couple really nice yellow clear ones I gave one away during the last contest I just go by hardness generally and also surrounding materials it's nice when they still have some of their cleavage or they're in a matrix they're a lot easier to identify and sometimes they're not because they're pieces that have gotten broken off of bigger pieces and sometimes I've seen corundum ore when they're in complexes and they're being cooked or they're in the schist still they're very rounded off almost pebble like cuz it's almost like the material bubbled out as a bubble when it melted out of the shist and what could have happened is it could have just broken off and then you're left with a beautiful stone Happy hunting it's cool you have a lot of that stuff on your property!!!🔥💎🔥💎😁😁😁 But if you find some of the really high quality yellow mixed with a clear sapphire they almost glow they're like a canary color they're beautiful we find them occasionally in that kind of pristine condition orange is the color that's really really valuable in the sapphire world and two tones but just happy hunting!!!💯the sapphire is so hard that if u take a palm sander to sapphire nothing happens lol...if you take one to a piece of quartz it files it down quick ....

    i have always used my diamond selecter the way the manuel tells u two by keeping your fingers on the metal plate I guess because it uses your body temp. as well. Are you saying thats wrong?

  • @saumur69ify
    @saumur69ify 7 місяців тому +2

    You're supposed to put your finger to the back plate at all times when testing .
    Also it is 4 light to warm up not 2.
    Also depending on size of the rock you want to test it's the amount of light bars on the device that needs to be selected correctly.
    Did you read the instructions?

Stay happy, and remember to get lost when u wanna find your soul...that and I thought it was better then Balderdash that was the first name of the band lol...the name is just an old band name the channel used to just be music but everybody liked the rock and artifact videos so I just lumped it all into one brand lol...but ty very much for time and finding the channel!!!!!🔥💎🔥💎

    Yes, is the stuff that you've been showing on this video? The sapphire tools. Are they worth very much reason? I ask believe it or not. In no Missouri, I find almost the same. Kind of stuff.But all different kinds of beautiful gem stones Is there any possible way that you could possibly check some of these out and the what type of genderstones? Maybe they are cause I have all different kinds of colors. Banded, some of them were beautiful bands. And some of them even flash beautiful different florescent Colors kinda similar to Diamond. And believe it or not a lot of them as different symbols.
    A lot of them believe it or not seem to be possibly Egyptian symbols. I've failed many of them that has. You're Pyramid with the eye in it. Several different styles of that 1.
    The Eagle dual like on the back of the land the lions like on a Roman. Armor armor body armor and the Eagle on the Roman chest body armor.
    And I've got quarters to you. That's got the symbols some has. Them all over it. I know sounds crazy, but, but it sounds like you know what you're talking about. And very knowledgeable so could you please help possibly

      South Eastern PA into parts of Maryland are all good for corundum, all throughout areas where the schist is exposed.. I walk tidal streams and tributaries of the Delaware. Parts around Valley Green just check the rules ...most streams u can hobby hunt but u cannot undermined or dig some creeks u can pan in some places u need like day permits..I find it all over my area I'm in like the Abington area Huntington Valley...it's in my yard it's all over all of the houses around here are made of schist ...so there's sapphire in all of the discard piles from the Old colonial mines..there's also several Golf courses in the Phoenixville area that will let u rock hound there old mines these are mostly agate and really cool crystal quartz finds but they let u hunt for free and keep your finds..

      The way most people sell rough gemstones especially if there larger or more unique specimens is to have them certified usually by like IGA or by a certified lab....you can sell them for a lot more with certification usually through auctions or just independently like online through either Our own website or marketplaces like Etsy...if u do not have them certified and sell them as uncertified you will have to sell them for lay less initially until u build a good reputation so if someone buys an uncertified rough stone from u and it checks out then it builds your reputation ...it's not easy I haven't sold any of my stones yet and I'm still attempting to find a lab that can handle such large rough stones...XRF scan or nad XRF gun is what helps identify and certify...there pretty much the options for attempting to monetize rough gems...u can also check local gemologists sometimes they will certify or can certify rough stones but usually most jewelry shops only appraise and examine cut stones ...hope it helps good luck !!!!😁

    I live in two places in Maine what appears to be a contact -metamorphic zone next to Sebago Batholith, and the other in the general area of Newry/ Plumbago. I am a raw, rank amateur who recently learned a couple big words. One day I outgrew the people who told me all black minerals are schorl; all red mineral garnet; all white or clear mineral quartz. Now I'm on an uncomfortable growth curve where I suspect what this piece in front of me ISN'T, but don't know what it IS. I don't expound on my theories, for fear of sounding like the 5-year-old who just found a diamond in the backyard. I'm here to learn.

    I found a red rock that is about 8.5" by 5.5" flat, rounded, in kind of a kidney shape, that looks like it has been shaped. It also looks like the red color on what I am guessing is the top surface has been dyed or enhanced. Not sure right now but I am guessing it is corundum. It looks like there are very shallow concave areas on the top surface that could have been used to sharpen blades. My first thoughts when finding this thing is it was a ritual rock used to sharpen blades for a battle or sacrifice and that the enhanced color might be from using blood as a sharpening lubricant. Not sure of anything except that it is most probably an artifact used by ancients. I will try to find a way to send you pictures.

      It may have been heated as well when the aluminum oxide gets heat treated in certain ways the colors can be significantly enhanced..I've found many native artifacts with red pigment most likely some sorta of mercury based element likes cinnabar was used in the red staining process if it were blood it would have oxidize in to iron at this point but it's significant that others are finding tools potentially made from corundum...it's fascinating because it's still used to this day for the same industrial purposes for polishing for cutting hard objects like stone for cutting metal all these tools utilize aluminum oxide so the ancients were really knowledgeable with material science especially when it came to stone working ...anyways 🙏 for sharing and ty for your time ...it seems you've found a crescent shaped corundum artifact possibly ....the crescent is a significant shape for artifacts especially during the paleolithic...I believe they even refer to these shapes artifacts as Paleo Crescent . Although the use for them is not fully known I've found a beautiful crescent shaped color changing sapphire it's been manipulated slightly but I've found naturally crescent shaped corundum as well .. it's a giant rough gemstone really..but the kidney shape is something I see often in corundum I think it's attempting to form a barrel shaped and there's something like a silicate that's intruding upon the oxygen bubble the aluminum oxide is forming in like a piece of quartz or a hunk of Micah was sitting in the bottom and this thing was trying to form its natural barrel but that intrusion interrupted it so you get this kidney shape... And it will be denser than quartz It will color shift under certain light It won't leave a mark on a tile if you scrape it across the tile these are all quick little tests to see you know how hard the rock is. But I find these quarry sites and all the tools and hammers are made out of this really hard rough sapphire obviously this material would make great hammers, pics and chisels as well as points just very hard to work with they were using abrasion to shape this material rather than flaking because of how robust of a material corundum is...I think it could make great plates/cookware because you could throw them into heat they take heat extremely well I have one that's like shaped almost like a little frying pan so definitely sounds like you're onto something 😁😁
