@@ChrisRalph Thank you. I have found some pagmetite rocks at a ridge along the river in the northern region of Malawi,.this rock hosts quartz, feldspers and micas. Please enlighten me on the potential minerals I may possibly find.
Pegmatite rocks can contain almost anything to almost nothing. I have no idea what yours might have.

Then becomes complete crap! I've been studying sir the stones for healing and spiritual meaning. About fifteen years now. Yessir! There is even still soooo much to learn and know! God Bless you sir!
Thanks for the kind words.
Yessir. Everytime c'mon💛🧡🙏
I love the corundum gem family. It's the ones I own are lab grown by a company called Chatham. Their uncut gems are the most beautiful crystals in existence.
I own a Chatham ruby crystal.
@@ChrisRalph How big is it? My largest Chatham ruby crystals are 41.5 and 65.5 carats respectively. I would love to see a picture if possible.
Thanks old timer, lernt many things here,
My child, it is good for you to learn new things.

Chatoyant
The oxidizing environment turns them Yellow, Reduction turns them blue. Generally a fancy burn( oxidation) takes place and the most yellow are those thrown in the final reduction burn.
OK.
I love Cowee Valley in N.C.
Cowee valley is a fun place.
SIR VERY VERY VALUABLE INFORMATION FOR EVERY BODY THOSE WHO ARE WORKING IN THE GEM ROUGH FIELDS, THANK YOU SIR FOR YOU'RE KIND INFORMATION, THIS IS SURYA SHARAM INDIA 🇮🇳 THANK YOU SIR
Greetings SURYA SHARAM - best of luck to you.
The wind hits your Mic. What mineral is mixed with Corrundum to make Ruby?
You can't always have the best weather conditions and I was only there a few days, so it was either film in the wind or forget it. I chose to film. Corrundum with traces of chromium is ruby.
Right but sapphires require Aluminum oxide correct?
I wish you were in community….!!
OK.
We called orange ones Pads for padparadshaw.
all in how you pronounce that.
so if its all about colour, then what is the cutoff point?
ie: how dark does a pink sapphire have to be to be called a ruby?
Its the point that the buyer says its red. However, near the meeting point of the two, prices converge.
Hey, I was wondering if you know of any highly recommended lapidary businesses or individuals who do both quality cutting and heat treating?
I'm Sorry, but no I do not know of any such folks and I've not had experience with them.
I have ruby star sapphire
Ok.
Exilent 💎💍💞
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Have you ever found raw diamonds? Just asking Chris, thanks.
Got a video on diamonds coming up soon! Glad you enjoyed the video.
question, I have low grade Madagascar rubies with almost a pink colour but are all around that 1"-1.5" in size. Not very clear. Any ideas how much something like that would run when selling?
No idea - depends on a lot of other factors. The value would be as a specimen, but are they nice specimens? Contact someone who deals in mineral specimens to ask them.
@@ChrisRalph okay thank you
I found a round stone with 3 sides red with orange brown ish shining red under light at a tx loves truck stop feeling smooth in the hand not sure what it may be
There are about 500 minerals that can be found in some shade of reddish brown, so its probably one of them.
@Chris Ralph, Professional Prospector maybe I got some sort of ruby in rough who knows any idea where I can take my collection to for telling me what I actually got
Perhaps to a nearby university? I don't even know what country you are in.
@Chris Ralph, Professional Prospector united states
Sir I have a question plz Can we found diamonds with these minrals?
Diamonds and sapphires are not found together.
@@ChrisRalph Thanks a lot Sir
I don't remember this area in Hoenn.
OK.
Star buby indian , how much of cost per ct
Depends on quality.
How much is the white sap6?
I have no ideas what is a sap6.
Ask the owner if he knows me he is at the french bar I think I worked at Castles,Russ and Debbie. Is Bruce still working there
Dan Pollard.
No idea.
wont heating them up like that make them brittle
Heating them up in a controlled environment does not make them brittle or any less hard. They are formed originally at red hot temperatures. Glad you enjoyed the video.
What is onix
Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony, a type of quartz.
Suddenly they were fusing and formed a garnet
OK....
I need help identifying a crystal I guess
I get many, many requests for personal help. Its almost always impossible to ID stuff from photos.
hey not saying anything bad I was reading through the gps part in your book sounds like you didn't have the WAAS turned on (enabled) this gets rid of the errors jumping from satellite to satellite or the older models didn't have this feature you have marked way points with it yes ? so you can go back and dig the same spot or sample the same place I started hiking with an etrex 30 and found some natural black chalcedony (black onyx) the real thing this is what started the prospecting bug oh you go to fallbrook Ca fallbrook gem and mineral society and talk to mike he works at the GIA gems and gold not much different free $$$$
Been using GPS for over 30 years, newer ones a lot better than older. Glad you enjoyed the video.
