Yeah I did it on D standard. I didn't use tabs, but this one is perfectly doable on 22 frets. I'm not sure if that 24th fret on the tab is maybe a bend on the high E string 22nd fret, or if it is 24th like on the B string, it's doable on the 19th of the high E string
Yeah, Chuck's guitar had 24 frets, but this solo is perfectly doable with 22 without changing the tunning. Highest note can be reached with that bend on the 22nd

Thank you! It wasn't easy. It's all digital amps and pedals (can't remember if I used Amplitube or Bias for this one, it was a while ago and I used to switch between both). The good thing about digital amps like those is that you can record and then get picky and start turning knobs and switching gear only using your ears and not playing the guitar at the same time, and that's what I usually do for my videos. Also the guitar wasn't necessarily the right one for this, as you can imagine. That SG had the Seymour Duncan Slash signature pickups, which are kinda low output compared to some metal pickups. But again, you can get there turning knobs and with EQ.

I go to see them live in that last incarnation sans Richard Christy. So what I do is place the song on the daw as well as my track with amplitube (I think I used amplitube for this one, but it was a while ago and don't really remember hahaha) and start tweaking the hell out of everything, playing along to the song, until I get it close enough!

Like D'addarios 11-50s, or 11-52s, or Ernie Ball has 11-48s and those are cool too. 10-46 can work ok, a little floppy but its not that bad. I wouldn't go lower than that tho.
