- The process of buying an AJS Motorcycle
We were recently commissioned by AJS Motorcycles to create a 'How to buy an AJS' short film. This is the end result. Hope this helps potential AJS owners in buying their new AJS bike.

Nice choice of colour, very close to my 1961 AJS!
Good choice the blue Tempest. I think it's the best colour. Five thousand miles on ours now. Dealer serviced from new. No problems .starts first time every time, Nothings come lose. No rust we use ACF50 on it. Hoping they make a 400cc version. And the most important thing is the cat,s still in love with it. 😂😂😂😂
Nicely done ladies and gents... pretty little bike too
Great promo video, I must get down there and see you guy's
Welcome any time!
Nice promotion I would be pleased with that video guys
Thank you
Mooi filmpje hoor! Goed bezig heren!
You should always ask to do a test ride before committing, if the dealer says no then walk away.
You will be hard pushed to get a test ride before purchase on a 50 or 125
@@motorsforthemasses I could understand that if the prospective purchaser is a learner or inexperienced. But surely a fully licenced experienced rider who is looking for a commuter should be allowed a test ride.
@@MarkESBuckmaster I agree...but this AJS video is aimed towards AJS potential customers which for now and predominantly learners or those just wanting a 125...but mostly CBT owners.
could you guys review the ajs daytona??? i've found mixed reviews online but the bike is absolutely gorgeous and i would love to know if it holds up well or will disintegrate after a couple of months lol.
Yes!
Would love an In depth review of the daytona and also the Highway star when it's released!
Grrrrr I thought that this was about actual British made AJSs...
They haven't been British made for nearly 40 years.
Glad that intro has disappeared.
Nice little bike.
Me too!
it was definitely holding them back on reaching the next level of production quality.
@@DanwilsonArchive not a fan of the intro then....
@@motorsforthemasses just my opinion, everything else you do is A+ quality. The intro is just very 2009 youtube, very old fashioned. 🙂
Edit: Looking forward to malcom's big bobber build!
@@DanwilsonArchive fair enough, I will work on a new one
Cheap to buy, expensive to run. Every 6 months or 2500 miles for a service, that could cost more to run/service than a 1000cc motorcycle. 2 Services per year for the 125cc could cost £300+ or you will lose your warranty, and they will most likely say you need extra work done which will be more money. My Yamaha Xmax scooter only needs serviced every 6000 miles or ones a year. Nice bike and very clever marketing.
Another thing to take into account, ask any bike dealer that's not selling AJS if they will service the bike, and you will probably find that they will not touch it, so your stuck.
Depends where you take it for servicing. If you buy the AJS from me, first service is just £69.99. Services after that £119.99. Extra work is ONLY if required and the only things that are not usually covered under warranty are mostly things that wear (brakes, cables, levers etc). No-where near as you are making out.
@@motorsforthemasses I do agree, service cost can vary on price and what you get. Don't know if your price includes VAT, but if so you would then be £288 for 2 services within 12 months, after the initial 1st service. Its funny that it's cheaper to service your average car than it is your bike. LOL
@@nfinnigan To be fair bike servicing is nothing like cars. Our Mini Cooper JCW has a 20,000 mile first service. If I serviced my Triumph, Yamaha, Honda at main dealer I would be getting on for 5-600 each. The upside is of course that the cost of the bike is much cheaper than it's (dare I say Japanese/Italian etc) counterparts; although the lower capacity 'Japanese/Italian ' bikes etc are all pretty much built in China/India/Indonesia/Korea/Thailand anyway. Plus, what main stream manufacturer makes these kind of style bikes anyway?
