- In depth review of my 2010 Lexus GX460. This build has been a 3 year process and is used as a daily. It has just under 200k miles and is still going strong. The only thing I did not fully show in this video is the drawer system turns into a sleeping platform. If you’re curious to see how that works let me know and I’ll make a video on it.

Love the build dude! I just had to replace the transmission on my 2011. Had my solenoids replaced that didn’t fix it then when they took it apart there were a ton of shavings in the fluid.
She’s a beauty!
What transmission issues? If DIYers use inreliable sources to do repairs then things may go south and not because of bad engineering, but because of stupid advices. There are numerous toyota cert techies on YT warning people about trans flash on high mileage cars. This applies to all brands and not only toyota. I have 2010 with 108k miles on it. The trans fluid was never flashed, so I had followed TheCarCareNut advice and just drain/fill the fluid. The trans shifts are butter smooth.
BTW, I suggest you don't wait for the valley coolant leak to show its signs. Replace the coolant immediately and do it every 30k. There is no such thing as lifetime coolant. When fluid gets older its lime particules start to cristilize. Those cristals form in tight spaces and are responsible for sealant degradation. Most likely old fluid is also responsible for recent blown head gaskets on UR engines. The gasket is coated with soft black liner which causes all the mess. It always fails in the same spot around the coolant channel between cylinders. If cristals build up in that area as well then the liner stands no chance and looses the seal.
Just bought a 2011 GX in the same color. Thanks for the inspiration, looking forward to a build as sick as yours!
