The GX doesn't come with a manual or diesel options, only the Prado does. I've heard that diesel is having issues though and lots of people overseas actually swap the v8 into their diesel Prado.

Excellent platform for Overlanding. Also geared lower than the 4Runner, 3.91:1 axle ratio’s vs 3.73:1 on 4Runner. I love my Pro but would consider owning a GX460 or should I say a Lamdcruiser Prado.
Rico I have the metal tech rear bumper on my 2017 Lexus GX, it's on the heavy side, but solid as a tank, no issues at all, on the pricey side tho, but it's 100% made in USA, I got the stage two, without the Jerry tank mounts, I'm about to order the ironman front bumper, dobison makes good products for Lexus too

What model light is on that front bumper. I am seriously considering copying that setup because it is way cool and I have that exact truck. It is really the only bumper I have seen that truly compliments that truck perfectly
The bumper is CBI's Covert bumper and the light is a Rigid one but I'm unsure of the model. You could probably go on their website and find the 40" lights and it'd be there.
I have a GX460 and had a covert front bumper installed by a well known professional shop...The sides of the OEM GX bumper are flapping in the wind out of control when driving. Is this something that is talked about at all?

Just finishing my 2022 GX build…CBI covert bumper, rock sliders, rack, etc. Very similar to this. Question: how do you delete/turn-off the air bag suspension warning alert? Lexus wouldn’t help. Not an issue per se but annoying as hell.

What if you’re in sand 300 feet from an anchor? Or mud? Grabbing your traction boards can take about 15 seconds, out of trouble in 2 minutes. A lot fast than rigging even a straight line pull.

Those gaudy grills make it impossible to make this look good with winch bumper lol. I'd pay to have the entire front swapped to look like a Land Cruiser Prado, then customize it
Why does everyone with Lexus or owns a Lexus to embarrassed to admit all the 4 runner parts are the same. Same frame and same suspension. The gx has the v8 nice features it won’t sway buyers admitting it.
Overheating isn't an issue unless doing a LOT of towing near the maximum capacity. Adding a trans cooler is super easy and helps drastically with this for anyone that does a lot of towing.

You’re about $10k high on base price at the dealer, and about 5mpg low for combined driving. Furthermore, building up one of these will often result in a better mpg rating than a 4Runner with the V6 because it is less of a strain on a more powerful drivetrain (look at the lifestyle overland long term comparison). But hey, don’t let those facts get in the way.

Why only 32” tires and not 33”s? A 32” tire does not require a lift and fits in the spare tire location.

It's silent but your fuel efficiency will take a little hit either due to aerodynamics or weight.
