This LWB Mercedes Sprinter has been lovingly converted to a very high standard by Daryl at Eyesopen Vanlife Workshop..
Lukey was designed and built by Daryl as his own personal camper. The pop top provides an upstairs bedroom accessed by the staircase, away from the kitchen and living area. The pop top bedroom can provide a cosy place to sleep with panoramic views and access out onto the fully LED lit decking area.
Downstairs has a lounge area with a corner sofa that turns into a double bed, an electric projector screen for some much needed down time after a long days surfing, exploring or adventuring.
The kitchen has everything you could need for off grid living, hot water, sink, fridge and oven. The shower/ bathroom is spacious and easy to keep clean, an instant hot water heater ensures you’ll never run out of hot water.
This camper is all about functionality & top end luxury, a beautifully finished two story camper van along with an eye catching exterior to suit any adventurer. this van will turn heads wherever it goes.

Pop up tent, seems unsafe but I'm an older female, maybe good for teenage boy if secure on sides.
I've watched full conversions, detailed tours, videos about boat living, van-living, bus builds for eight and their dog and cats, and custom campers in every shape under the sun. Some big, some small. I've never seen a staircase in a van before now! It looks fantastic. That whole rooftop space strikes me as something very handy for a stargazer.

I am blown away! Honestly: been watching van tours for almost 8 yrs now - even bought my own VW LT35 from 1986 to renovate and fulltime living - but never seen a staircase before! So well thought out, beautifully designed and amazing craftmanship.🏆🏆🏆

Well, we all knew the Hymer was going to inspire some builders to use the staircase-to-the-top configuration. This looks more cost effective, and I hope I see more like this. Honestly, all pop tops should use stairs.
Exactly. You'd think they'd be honest and admit they took the idea from Hymer and not act as if they've never seen it before. lol
You've given me an idea: I'm going to install a seat lift in the van, which is right next to the bed and you can use it to go up onto the roof, so that I, as a wheelchair user, can also enjoy the great view. There are no nice vans for wheelchair users, have you ever designed for a wheelchair user? That would be a really great idea, they could explore the world.❤❤❤

This van is really nice. I love this sink and the shower and sleeping area. The stairs are beautiful and crafty. The 'loft' needed to be more though for all the hype around it.
I love this van, room for the family to have dinner and spend time together, then double bed and a pop top, whats not to like ❤❤❤

I really like it! The only van I've seen with staircases is the Hymer model and I'm glad to see that it's inspiring people. What I don't like is that there's no passage between the cab and the rest of the van. Personally, I'm a bit concerned about that! What about the insulation on the pop top? Otherwise, it's a superb Van! Great job!
It would've been better if the roof was an actual roof was a retracting roof, or raised roof. But, the stairs idea is a good look for originality.

I think I am in love with the bathroom on this van! Which water heater did you use and what is the water pressure like?
Is the ladder in the back removable? If I had to stealth camp in a parking lot or in the city or even on public beaches, i would not want any strangers having access to the ostensibly open roof (if I need to make use of said roof).
if its got windows its not stealth so ladder is least of worries.

I totally agree with you. That whole top set up looked precarious to say the least. No way would I SLEEP up there in that pop top, let alone put kids of ANY age up there to sleep, only to have them turn over in the night and fall off the van. It's bad enough when they fall out of a regular bed.
Nope, that complete setup on top is a no go for me.
But the rest of it was totally rad. Loved the paint color and the asthetics. Would have done a drop down bed over the dining area to gain SAFE sleeping space for everyone.

Not having a pass through from the front cabin leads to great placement for the bathroom. This is the least compromise floorplan I’ve seen so far in a Sprinter

Pössl, actually. It seems the mouth-watering video from, if I am not mistaken, 2019, has disappeared form the face of the internet. It is a loss, for the pretty advanced project was full of genius and inventions, among those a staircase, and a rooftop not unlike yours. The bathroom solution was brilliant, and left space for a home office too. I keep searching@@VannyCampers I think it was a Franco-German cooperation?

I've been going mental watching conversion camper videos and I have to say you get the award for best presentation ... there's a lot of serious people, some weird ones, quite a lot of boring ones ... others who just want to show the van with a dubbed audio ... you make it fun my man and I love the way you presented this review. I also watch a lot of 'watch collector' content and there's a slightly zany chap I like called 'the mad watch collector. Like you he puts some fun and quirks into the videos he posts and I guess its just a personality thing. Got to have fun and be yourself innit. This is a complete custom build Zepher
Like the lower level van layout. Personally, The upstairs set up is a complete waste of space. When you're up there you have the access open to all critters so its not really a sleeping area. Just a shame that all the goodwork on the lower floor could have been enhanced instead of wasting it on the useless set up just to lay on roof deck
Its a ziptop pop top, you dont get no bugs inside, slept in one hundreds of times, the only issue was in colder climates, i was in one at -22c and i can say it definitely got a bit cold

le mec il est surement concessionnaire ou pote avec un taulier, alors normal, il fait de la promo pour négocier au max un tarif abordable, passe que pour se payer ce genre de bouze faut avoir hérité d'un gros paquet de papier money, ou bien vivre en faisant la manche à la sortie des supérettes (le barbu il aurait un peu un air à ça... enfin la barbe ne fait pas le moine...) pour rembourser le gros prêt !! ou bien c'est un chômeur qui a été juste booké pour faire la pub, après il retourne à pire emploi.... à pied !
