Aside from the Community Rebalance Patch (which most Pro dont play for some reasons haha), hoping for future tweaks to make Allied more viable. Thx again Iver. Okay so I have a question - why do we never see an IFV + engineer (or equivalent) at least in bases for fixing stuff up while not fighting? What's the rationale?
Takes a lot of extra micro when things are always moving is the engi Ifv is a decent cost investment. Considering how fast things move it's more worth it to spend your time moving units. If I recall engi ifv takes 4 "ticks" to repair one unit, about 10 seconds.
there only 3 uses i can think of right now in engi ifv 1.) to capture buildings/tech early on 2.) when many of your tanks are very severy damage that you have to bother go for it 3.) along side battle fortresses, these big boys arent much in numbers so alliied players have to protect/support them to the best of there abilities
So basically the answer to almost every question of why don't they... is opportunity cost. Yes using a service Depot or an engineer ifv to repair damaged tanks would be good but there are more important things that they have to be doing, from my point of view sometimes it looks like they're not doing much but if you watch the Players Point of View you'll see there are so many different things they are trying to manage at the same time - literally having to micro each miner and telling it where to get ore efficiently and stuff like that. As for the comment about capturing enemy buildings with Engineers that is allowed in Yuri's Revenge but in my regular red alert 2 tournament games we have a setting that doesn't allow it.

Just curious, but why is RA2 so popular still? I can understand it being more popular than C&C 1 or RA1 given they improve upon systems from then and etc. But why not Tiberian Sun, Tiberium Wars, or RA 3?
I think mostly because Red Alert 2 has this undeniable greatness as the number 1 RTS game of all time that just simply can't be denied... (but actually Red Alert 2 is not that popular haha. Search "Sybert C&C" he's a streamer that does the other C&C games and they have significantly more viewers and players)
@Iver I guess I just casually come across more RA2 content than anything else C&C related. I hear a lot of favorable opinions about C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath, but I only ever see RA 2 content, lol.
So I will be the first to admit I know nothing about competitive ra2/yuri - I played the game casually as a kid and that's about it. But why do you guys not ever do allied vs yuri? Is it a balance thing, some timing that one side or the other just can't beat or something like that? My general understanding was that for a while no one played yuri because the faction as a whole was unbalanced (I thought he was thought to be generally overpowered, but again I definitely am speaking from ignorance here so I dunno), but clearly that is no longer the case in yuri vs soviet at least, what makes yuri vs allied different? Or is it just one of those things where allied is just strong enough that it can hang with soviet, and soviet is just strong enough that it can hang with yuri, but allied vs yuri is too much of a missmatch?
Hey! Yeah Allied can't play Yuri at the top level really. The main issue is the anti air from Allied (ifvs) suck and can't handle disks. But in general there are a lot of balance issues.
I love your content and everything you've done for this community, but my vote is to stop the instant replays and the zooming in of stuff that happened. Also, you fast-forward mid-game when no actions happening, but it's fun to watch that part too. Thanks again for everything you do.
can we do qien, marko, and kwos on a 3 player map one game of yr, one game of blitz, and 1 game of RA2... first player to 2 wins is the ultimate champion

Lol. Just the way it goes. We don't share a screen. So we aren't looking at the same things in real time. So when something happens on my screen (that is being streamed) I gotta yell it out.
My tournaments are open to all players who wish to compete. We've had some Chinese players over the years, mostly they only want to play with each other.
