    Hi I have few question.
    1) In my place sunlight gets pretty harsh and my plants got stressed and died in past. How do i diffuse or decrease the amount of falling. Constant moving of pots is not a option for me.
    2) I have bought hydroponics nutrition from garden guru website, growth formula. In seedlings stage shall i use it in less concentration than recommended?

      The price of the hydroponics produce will be costlier than the conventional product(grown in soil)

    Thank you Sir for the wonderful and professional video. I have started with DWC basic from City greens to have a try. Please let me know more on Sunlight. I see there are grow lights available. I have terrace but Rat is a menace and want to have the system indoors. Please suggest.

      I always prefer using sunlight to artificial lights if you are beginner. It is always good to have known parameters in the growing experiment. There are grow lights available and are effective as well.

    The pH of water is measured and is it required to measure the pH of nutrients solution also ? Awaiting for reply.

    • @TheGeekgardener
      @TheGeekgardener  3 роки тому

      pH of the stock solution need not be measured. It is the pH of the final mixture we are interested in

    Sir, when we use pesticide on crop and during that process if pesticide water get mixed it with fertilizer solution through plants stem. Does it will effect nutritional solution?

    • @TheGeekgardener
      @TheGeekgardener  3 роки тому +1

      If the pesticides pour down in to the solution through the plants stem, it will very likely get mixed in the nutrient solution. It may positively impact the solution depending on the concentration of the pesticide sprayed and also the nature of the pesticide. Spreading agents and other emulsifiers are get mixed with nutrients solution.
      Depending the nature of pesticides, it may get absorbed into the plants via nutrients and show in the residue test.
      using a very fine spray is a good way to reduce such incidents.

    Sir, Concepts are known, but when comes to practice, unable to act. Not sure where making mistake. I want real time experience in supporting farm before taking my own sertup. What do you suggest?

    • @TheGeekgardener
      @TheGeekgardener  3 роки тому +2

      You have raised a very very valid point. Almost many who I spoke to during training sessions are in this situation. First you need to build familiarity with the concept and validate it.
      Start a small system at your home and learn in practically and then gradually scale up. This option is if you want to learn and do Hydroponics. The other way is hire someone that knows it practically.
      Sowing a seed and growing will help you learn more than any book. Also one should not worry about making mistakes in the learning phase.

    What is the reason for root rot? How to prevent it?

    • @TheGeekgardener
      @TheGeekgardener  3 роки тому +1

      Root rot happens due to the following reasons
      1. Stagnated water resulting in low Dissolved oxygen (DO)
      2. Pythium infection
      3. High temperature reducing the availability of DO
      and many more

    how much water temperature ?and how prevent pytium outdoor grow . Nicee Subscribee

    • @TheGeekgardener
      @TheGeekgardener  2 роки тому

      Water temperature can be reduced by the following
      1. Chilling
      2. Increase the tank size for effective temperature buffering
      3. Cover the reservoir (if exposed to sun) with reflective material.
      4. Reduce the pipe length to reduce heat transfer
      Pythium control is tricky
      1. Reduce the temp
      2. Maintain high levels of hygiene
      3. Reduce pythium prone plants (Spinach)
      4. Increase DO.
