@@ivan.jeremic in CS2 (the best version of hammer 5 available) you can install the workshop tools in the settings menu. CS2 requires a gpu capable of ray tracing though so if you don't have that you can use the half life alyx or steamvr workshop tools

Same problems with other game's editors. (radiant for example) constant compiling and checking ingame if what you were working on was still working as intended. camera's elevators etc. placing props etc. this is likely why you never get a elevator that can go 100 floors. It's possible but it's sooooooo much work and everything has to be in the right places with correct values everywhere. One value off and it's broken.

I almost QUIT mapmaking for GMod because I didn't want to have to put up with Hammer's BS, but since Hammer++ came along, I was more happy than ever. EDIT: Missing textures spotted at 5:13.
Unreleased map for my hub project, was trying to make a lobby experience like Gmod Tower, but mixing aspects from other games such as The Sims. Might release what I have sometime soon

Source will not die with the release of Source 2, thus games like Garry's Mod will still need Hammer, because I don't think the Hammer 2 will be compatible with Source1
Well for gmod it is not all that impressive. Those you show in the video, yes, excatly. Time saving! But it is not perfect, as I cannot test my map without opening the regular hammer. For some reason I cannot configure the compile to build for gmod.
brush merging? NICE 1. old style you have to waste a lot of time making sure brush faces that player cannot see have no texture applied. this takes so many time....
Hamer++ is better than the shitty Source2 Hammer editor.... God fucking damn it it's so frustrating and idiotic.... They somehow managed to make a level editor both easier and harder than the old one.... I'm currently working (or at least trying) on a CS2 map and i'm on the brink of loosing my mind. Lack of tutorials or shit tutorials that don't explain shit.... And developers on their official websites have not updated a shit ton of informations..... I think i will just stick with the source1 a few more years till they fix the damn Source2.

Been using Hammer+ for a few years now, not having to guesswork lighting is alone enough of a reason to ditch vanilla Hammer entirely.
