This reel cleared so many doubts single handedly 😅
PhD does not allow a person to practice as a clinical psychologist. Please correct this. Only a person holding a MPhil Degree in Clinical Psychology or someone who has a one year diploma in Clinical Psychology from an RCI recognised University can practice as a Clinical Psychologist in India.

Hey, I'm in class 12th arts. I originally did 11th science but couldn't handle the stress and personal issues, so I repeated 11th with arts. That's when I got interested in psychology. I wanted to be a psychiatrist but found out it requires an MBBS degree, so I decided to aim for clinical psychology instead. Now, I'm torn between psychology and hotel management. I love cooking and have skills in it, but I also enjoy giving advice and listening to people, which makes me think I'd be good at psychology. However, I'm worried about committing to a PhD in psychology because I'm an average student who can only study for about one to two hours a day. My grades are okay (76% in 10th, 87% initially in 11th, then 66% in final 11th exams). I understand some psychology theory but lack practical skills, while my cooking interest is strong but not deeply knowledgeable.I'm also concerned about the long time commitment for a PhD in psychology and the impact of AI on jobs. Hotel management is a shorter course (5-6 years), but I'm unsure about both paths. Can someone help me decide?
Which college are you studying in??

PsyD after doing masters is too much (4 yr!) mphil is still valid for people who are in 2 year masters right now ..if i am wrong plz correct me..!
How to become a counseling psychologist
Or go abroad. No other country demands m phil for example im in Australia and im going masters then gonna do phd n practice. Along with it get specialised in cbt, ret, n other therapies and you can practice
you need a master's, minimum hours of training, a PhD or PsyD, and then a licensure exam to practice as a clinical psychologist in countries other than India. please make sure you have full knowledge before you invest in another country. Also not everyone can afford to go abroad.
Now as mphil is not an option what is to be done?

Hello Mam, i am going through a very tough time managing my OCD. Please help
Don't expect anyone to help bro. No one would help, see a psychiatrist or practice meditation if you can't access a psychiatrist. Meditation might not completely cure your ocd but it would certainly reduce the severity of your symptoms.
please reach out to a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist for help
After mphil in clinical psychology, phd is necessary...
Please anyone tell😢

Why don’t you make a video and share the information you know :) it’s very easy to troll others. Just for your knowledge, the same video on Instagram was shared with an updated caption correcting my mistake.
@@Psychologywithalisha Because I'm too busy doing my Ph.D. so I don't really have time to make videos like you. My concern is to not keep such flawed videos online as thousands of students would be misguided. And I don't use Instagram or any other social media applications. And to update you and everybody else. Professional diploma in clinical psychology and M.Phil. CP were two degrees that were considered for assistant clinical psychology and clinical psychologist registration till now. With the changing course of time, the name might change but the validity of these courses will not. A prerequisite is Masters in Psychology or any other relevant field like applied psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology. Major institutions conduct their own entrance tests. And I however also apologize for my impulsive comment with an inappropriate language.
thank you for the apology, it wasn't expected from someone in the same field, as you know how important empathy is in our field. Congratulations on your Ph.D. hope it's good. the UGC notification has certainly helped clear a lot of doubts. @@aztec6394
