Finally! It's review time for my freshly tuned b5s4. Being that we did not turn up boost in order to test if Advancing Timing on the 2.7TT does in fact increase power noticeably, you can now find out in this video!

I have an A6 C5 S-line 2.7t. Bad egt's and on a budget. Boosting 5.5psi right now, noticeable drop in power. I have replaced tensioner seals, valve cover gaskets and soon cam seals. Replaced the alternator too. Running Kunho Ecsta PS31 235/45/17 high performance tires. Replaced all front control arms and front & rear brake pads.
Wanting to tune out egt's.
Any value priced tunes?

ME7's knock sensors and algorithms do a pretty decent job from the factory providing your running the highest octane available. Like most of these stories go, no logs=no proof=no dice.

Hey man just so you aren't putting out false info. The true name of the system is 2 step its is similar but it's not the same as a true anti-lag setup. As well it is just the rear o2 sensors that are coded out you still should be using the primary o2 sensors. I'm glad you are loving the new tune! Just wait until you add boost to the equation lol
Also be sure to do the diverter valves before adding boost. Generic 710n or higher will do the trick
I hear what you are saying but the tune is setup with Antilag. It cuts spark while still allowing fuel to flow into the exhaust then that fuel is igniter to build boost. 2step and Antilag are very similar.
German Elite Tuning I completely agree they are very similar. However 2 step sets a separate rev limiter while a true anti-lag injects air/fuel into the exhaust manifold. Our cars use the 2 step system to build boost off the line by delaying spark while still injecting fuel. Answer me this with your tune if you hold down the clutch while flooring the gas will the car rev to its 7k rev limiter or will it hold around the 4-5k range?
Andy Reed the rpm I have spark cut set is 4200 then the rpm increases to around 4300 as the unburned fuel is ignited. If you want to call it 2step it’s cool with me. There is no point in arguing about it.

I immediately had significant boost leaks upon going stage 1 since my b5s4 was never driven hard prior to my ownership and the increase in boost revealed boost hose leaks. I will admit after driving stage 1 for 6 months my passenger turbo began to whine and will need to be replaced and upgraded. This was 3 years ago, my car has sat (also due to an undisclosed coolant leak) ever since but I'm finally now motivated to pull the engine and trans and get working on my s4.

should have tried to reflow the solder on the pins. Mine had codes for both egt sensors and i was able to reflow the solder on the pins and they're back up and working. I do all the work on mine myself. if ya need a hand hit me up, i live 5 min. away from you and you already know where i work.
Do you know what causes the water type marks on the front pillars. My B5 has it also.

Bro I think you need to look into wheel bearings or a new diff before tuning and power. That noise is bad!!
Advancing timing will cause oil temp to raise as its burning hotter but it shouldn't be by that much. My stage 3+ car runs right around midway up the gauge maybe a little past if I get on it and then sit in traffic. Also expect that mpg to keep getting worse hahaha I'm lucky to get 15-17

might be selling mine - it's pretty mint cosmetically and looks a lot like Boost Book's, though with alc interior. I'd be looking to get 11k for it (higher side of non stage-3 b5's), but it's had a ton of preventative maintenance done recently and is a strong, tastefully modified stage 2 b5. Pretty close to a finished project, would only need injectors, turbos, and a tune for stage 3 (plus some touch up paint here n there). Send me a message if you're interested. 102k miles, motor's never been out, absolutely 0 rust anywhere on the car. comp tests looked great when i last did it a year ago.
