Stan smith leather sock is the best alternative imo the quality is on point it doesn't feature a tongue it's like a slip on with laces but they offer the standard Stan smith look the slightly off white cream midsole makes the sneaker look better too

Most of the high price of CP's is for the brand and style, not for quality. And the end of the day it's still a sneaker. When you consider the fact that you can buy several pairs of retail price Vans for the price of a CP, calling it an investment just isn't accurate. I guarantee that a CP isn't going to last you several times as long as these other sneakers under the same wear. I don't think there's anything wrong with shelling out for CP's if that's the look you want. But the quality of a 500 dollar sneaker versus a 50 dollar sneaker just isn't the same compared to, for example, a 500 dollar pair of Cordovan leather dress shoes versus a 50 dollar pair of dress shoes.
