You mentioned how the video uses the same motions over and over. I think its a theme, the song is called Neurotica. Doing the same thing over and over is considered neurotic. Edit^ I saw them play this song live a week ago they are awesome live.

Another thing to that people don't immediately realize about these camera shots is just HOW rehearsed you have to be while shooting.
Think about it for a minute. The camera is on a robotic arm.
The arm is heavy. Like, more than a ton. The camera isn't a GoPro. It is a real camera.
Now look at how the camera moves. It's starting and stopping and swinging around with precision.
Now imagine being the camera as it does those shots. What position is it in? How close it is getting?
Think about how much force it requires to swing all that mass around and stop it in a split second.
NOW imagine it from the "getting filmed" perspective. Terrifying.
That arm is going to repeat those movements exactly as it was told to. Every time.
      Humans? Not so much.
And that arm does not give one single fuck if your guitar/hand/arm/face is where it was told to be.
It is going to be there. And you aren't.
So...yeah. The movements are kinda repetitive in the video. I'll acknowledge that fact.
But you have to understand that all those close shots that are just rotations, the ones that are swinging in until they are a hand-width from the players, that shit is dangerous.
And they have to pay attention to their 'safe box' while ALSO playing the super-technical music that we all love them for.
There is no room for zoning-out to the music. If your hand strays forward by a few inches you might never play guitar again.
So you learn 3-4 sets of motions and you play it safe during the filming .
Note: This is their first time using this filming method too. And I think they did a great job, even if it is a bit simple.
Note2: The safety regulations for filming with these are similar to what you have to deal with when filming car stunts beside foot traffic, or scenes with firearms and explosives. The technology has been around for a LONG time, but it recently went from like $500k a scene to $5k to get a crew for 4 hours. It got so cheap so fast, and there weren't enough rules to reign in the people who just saw it as a way to get cool camera shots. People were maimed/killed.

Maybe a jank headset. If he thinks it’s upping and downing on volume it’s probably just a connection error in the aux

What I like about Polyphia IS the fact there is so much going on. I can listen to this song and hear things I didn't notice before. So it doesn't get boring right away. As long as there's a sick baseline going on I can vibe to new parts of the song every time.

There is this unplugged version of Neurotica on Tim's channel, uploaded couple days ago. You can check it if you want more detailed version on the guitar part. Would love to see your reaction to it as well.

The guitars they're playing are just more or less Prestige Ibanez AZ guitars with those plates added to them. Tim and Scott have been playing Ibanez AZ guitars since they were first introduced with even their signature models essentially just being custom versions of AZs with their own signature pickups and designs. What's crazy to me is that I've actually not seen Tim play his signature guitar in a long while as he seems to have switched to an AZ with the vine pattern on the fret-board.
