2019 Honda Pilot Elite with 163,000 miles. Got gas, drove home, car went into limp mode, ALL the warning lights triggered on ALL of the systems. Drove home VERY slowly as the car was in Limp Mode. Found this video, bought a new Pressure Switch from Autozone for $45 (part# PS702) with lifetime warranty, installed with a 12 point "thin wall" 24mm deep socket, start the car, drove normally. My LTFT & STFT even improved closer to "0". Thank you!
Same thing happened to me. I filled up my car with gas, drove some miles and I got all those notifications and the car was hard to accelerate. Thanks for your comment and the video to resolve this issue.
Thank you! Your video saved me a bunch of money on fixing my wife's 2014 Acura MDX which popped up with the emissions error notice and same P2652 code via the OBDII scanner. I appreciate you completely walking through the diagnosis process. While I didn't get 12v when checking wiring, I was able to get 0.8V steady when the ignition was turned on so I felt comfortable the wiring was not the issue. I changed the sensor using your part number, cleared the codes (couldn't clear the permanent code with my mid-level Harbor Freight scanner) and the car ran just fine. I understand the permanent code will be removed after 15 cycles or 200 miles. In all including the cost of the scanner, part and buying a new set of long sockets, I spent less than $200... which is likely what the dealership would have charged just for a diagnosis. Thank you!
thank you for sharing your knowledge with the general public your teaching shows your competences and professionalism this video is extremely informative and I will continue to follow you.
Thank you for not being lazy and making such a detailed analysis of the error. I had the same one and I did as you showed and everything works for me. You saved my money, thank you!

Hay Deo…I am really interesting to watching your videos so for this reason I went back to your videos 2and 3 years ago..but I have questions did your videos these days are less than before because I get one video so is that what you’re filming to us….I would like to learn more and more from your video so thank you for sharing …keep going….
Sir! I enjoyed your video a lot as I owned the pilot & ridgeline! Very informative and details!! Thank you for taking your time & making all these infos videos for diy people! 👍
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I just unplugged mine and plugged it back in then disconnected and reconnected my battery… (in hindsight that’s Probably the wrong order to do things in) but it worked in making all my codes disappear
I would love to know how the switch was removed? There is next to no clearance to get grip on it. Pulling up on the bottom of the switch with a flat head driver doesn’t move it. There is no visible tab on the outside. There is a locking tab on the inside of the replacement part
The switch was spun around so the tab was facing a side that was blocked. Was able to wedge a couple flatheads under the bottom of the switch and twist up on them until the switch popped off. Damaged the inside tab a little but had no problem installing the new part.
Hi kits auto!! I am one of u subscriber ,I ha I quation fore u. I have toyota rav4 2007, my brake pedal is sinking, I changed master cylinder, used ABS module and I bleed it no leak ,but still sinking what will be the problem?
Trying to diagnose P3497 Accord V6 VCM 2010 130Km, random misfire and new Honda genuine pressure switch replaced (front and rear) and yet the same problems - P3497 with random misfire from cyl1~ 6, and intermittent flashing check engine light as well. What would you check next?
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I went to autozone they sold me a oil pressure sensor. Cost me $180. The part wasn’t the same. I took a picture of the part number you had. Went back and got that part for $30. And problem was solved. Thank you for your helpful video
Hmmm I was looking for the voltage to be pulled to ground when the switch closed. Unless I missed something, I never saw the voltage pulled down. Instead it looked like the voltage went up with RPMs. Little confused there, but leaves me woundering what that voltage would look like with a oscilloscope connected. May be something going on that we can't see with the voltmeter. Thanks for another great vid.
@bobcombs7138 My Pleasure! good point maybe the multimeter was not fast enough to see the change in voltage or the rocker arms were not being actuated by the ECM at that moment!
Hello, I really like how thorough you are in your videos but I don’t understand something. How did you know that the problem was not with the pressure solenoid?
SUPERMASTER. EVERYTHING IS DETAILED. What is the tightening torque for the sensor? Please voice or write below the video the number of the sensor and ring and the tightening torque.

I have a 2012 Accord and p2651 came up b rocker arm actuator system performance stuck off any tips or solutions
@janinturner3440 check the solenoid and the solenoid wiring!
Wait… that looks exactly like the engine oil pressure sensor for the Honda/Acura J-series V6 engine. It’s known for going bad past 150,000 miles.
@MrSamPhoenix Yes!
I was expecting to see the voltage pulled down with the engine running.
@PaulCTownsend Yes! that's what I thought was gonna happen!!
SUPERMASTER. EVERYTHING IS DETAILED. What is the tightening torque for the sensor? Please voice or write below the video the number of the sensor and ring and the tightening torque.
@arturshemshur3030 Thanks! Torque the sensor to 120 inch pounds
Even the OEM is made in China.
@michaelgebremeskel6622 it's crazy!
2015 Mercedes sprinter 2500 144’wheel base 4 c 2.1L
What should be the rpm at 120km/h
@saifnaeem6275 I didn't understand your question!
You should of ohm tested the old switch vs new switch to see the difference for video sake
@swav100 Suggestion! Probably next time
