You know something is wrong when music in cartoons are far better than modern mainstream music. When I saw this episode, I was fighting back tears watching this scene and the music did not help matters. If it can make the creator himself cry, then you know you've done something incredible. Music on cartoons is always so amazing because it’s always pumped full of emotion based on what you’re seeing aka the writing. It’s always a way to wordlessly enhance a scene and have the creator tell you about emotion where they don’t want to say it, making these songs so beautiful. Where modern mainstream music doesn’t enrich the music with as much emotion, and generally follows patterns based on what people want to hear, not what the songwriter wants to say. (Peace from ATLA is my fave example brings me to tears tbh)
JUST FEELS. The Character development in such a compressed amount of time of the reel of their life is amazing omg. Richard and Nicole from the beginning had to battle the world to keep their love together. Nicole's parent rejected the idea of having Richard as Nicole's boyfriend, they left their house to pursue their own goal instead of what their parents had in mind, lived in some sort of underground/near the trains where their home seems small and compact, eating noodles just enough to get them by the day. Even with the gruelling hardship they faced they manage to buy a house of their own and start a family. Can we talk about the outfits that Nicole and Richard wore when they had Gumball? It's my favourite outfit for them 😂 The idea of how Nicole use to be this character who is very self-determined to be the very best to please and meet her parents expectation hits me the most. She grew to understand from meeting Richard that being "at the top" (competition-wise, being wealthy, having the latest technology) isn't what it's really all for its worth and for once she decided to relax and take a break from everything that she worked for. what I love the most is how Nicole is in content with her life, even though it may not be the best, it's still a great life-a loving family to support her all the way, providing joy and laughter and the loving care from on another. Nicole is just the best. Love prevails. Been looking forward to this cover and it really put smile on my face, you can see it in Pandas too near the end hehe 😁😊
I totally agree with you, she's one the most beautiful, badass and loving mothers I've ever seen, not taking one crap from anyone who would try to change how their family or she rules. She's pretty much beat-em-up character material if you think about it.
This episode had a lot of impact towards the beloved watchers of TAWOG and that's what makes this episode so important, I love the strong connection that Nicole has with Richard it's really lovely to see this family come all together, really makes you emotional.
Whe I was listening to this,I thought about the moments in the show and during the music,Nicole and Richard were growing up and had Gumball,Darwin,and Anais.The first thing I thought about this was the fact that the same thing happened,I was born and later my brother was born,and we seem like a happy family.Hearing this song makes me realize that my mom and dad also had a choice to do this same thing and it makes me super happy to realize that they decided to go on with having me and my brother,right now i am going through anxiety and I was thinking that there was no reason to live and the moments in this show helped me realize that I was born because my parents love me.The thought of that makes me appreciate life and i feel so happy.I have never felt so happy in a while and it is nice that the reason I live and breath today is because my parents love me.

If this doesn't break your heart, he actually imagined what his life would've been like if they did stay together, up to your wedding.
This song always reminds me of my cat who died at six months old and it pretty much sounds like her very short life with me. As the songs starts, I can remember when I saw her for the first time after deciding to adopt her. Then slowly transitions to her getting used to the house and always clings to me since she was still afraid. Then our firsts together... Her first bath, hiding her in my bag so I can go the grocery store with her, driving aimlessly with her. Then I go through some tough stuff, remembering the time she put her paw on my cheek as I was crying and stayed by my side all night. The songs gets to the last part and she gets very sick. We go to the vet and we try everything but she gets weaker and refuses to eat. Until one night, I decide to go up stairs to fix something in my room, leaving her for awhile then my mom knocks at my door to tell me she died. As if she waited for me to go up and not see her pass away. We decided to bury her beside a pine tree we just planted a few weeks before she died. Somehow, that tree never grew as tall as the other trees we planted. My dad says that its her tree and thats probably why it never grew tall.

I agree, Steven used to be my favourite because of how cheerful and quirky he was when the show first started, all the fun things he and the gems used to do, his positivity towards everything. I love the Watterson family. They're kind of a mess, but a lot of families are. They love each other immensely. I love how they immediately accepted Darwin into thier family too. It's really sweet.
