- Talking about CT Side on Dust2 and how you can try to defend things like long A rushes, Mid-B splits ETC. Note: There is a point where I talk about contesting long and "falling back cat". Typically you commit to one as soon as you know they're hard contesting. More or less you contest it the first few times they go there and then if you've been winning you keep hard contesting or if you've been losing you start immediately giving it up and going towards cat instead.

@@GordonG3kko Yes, but they probably think they know best. You should try to use sentences like "Could we try to get long control" or "Do you guys want to try long" and if they don't, just support their strat as best you can instead of going solo long and dying.

My experience is that people don't know the basics of dust 2 at all. Long control should always be challenged on ct with the first long spawn throwing a molly but they don't do that ever. Then when we have long control some A player still pushes up short and dies for no reason. Then people think mid player should be able to hold catwalk push but it's not possible when enemies just throw single xbox smoke.
Then in my experience holding mid to b is really easy with 2 decent players. Other player holds window under it, a ct rotater watches b doors from ct above the smoke so they cannot come from the doors. and then 1 b player holds tunnel, from altar, big box, or something like that. Under window postition is really strong imo and can easily lead to 2 kills and the big box player can easily trade. Or if they come from tunnels first big box player can take 1 hide and i can trade or support him under the window where is almost a headshot angle to enemies.
My teammates always rush to B, and then there's only one or two including myself holding A. It just makes the T very comfortable to kill us from Long and short. And I'm the kind of player who prefers SMGs. But eventually all the gay gunners fuck me over.

long corridors = tunnels, a long, mid.
The new door switch fixes much of the awkwardness by allowing the mid player to quickly swing into countering a tunnels push

Awesome video. Dust2 ct side is probably one of the most misplayed areas I've seen across most ranks.
Something I wish you would have mentioned is how important the long spawn is to getting that molly off into long doors. So many people seem to misunderstand that timing and think that a good t spawn will be able to pick them when they throw the molly (which isn't the case.)
Ct side on inferno sucks even more .

playing 2 inside B and peeking out from window and door together with a flash is something we should incorporate into our teamplay. thanks for the tips! btw for long control there is a molly you can throw without peeking by bouncing it off the pole, its a little safer than the one you showed.
can you please elaborate on that long molly? Usually when I have the long spawn I just don't stop and strafe past the angle to pit while aiming towards the right of long doors so the molly lands right on the doors. A safer way to do it would be great to know

Could you make a video about what protocols are and what it means to play in a system. I hear a lot of pros talking about these concepts but I have never heard anyone explaining in depth what those things mean.
And keep up the great videos, love watching them. Definitely the best source for knowledge about csgo. Love how you actually take the time to explain why certain things are good and other things are bad. There are too many youtube videos out there just showing nade lineups but they never explain when you should use them etc.
I have a video, think it's called "calling to the next level" which explains protocols to some extent but I'll add that one to the notepad.

What we do often times is doubling up at mid and try to contest cat this way. Tipically One awp and one m4. Then theres one at b who can get fast support from mid if the Ts rush b and two at long who do not really need to worry about cat (at least pushing Ts) will be called out for sure
My mate can hold onto B solo with a Negev but me and the other 3 premade players can never hold onto A it seems but this video helps out a lot :)
I only know Mirage and Inferno properly. Recently I went back to Dust 2, since I want to learn all the maps eventually. I have to say, it was the most frustrating map to learn and understand at first, but it’s fun when you grasp it. I have pretty much been a mirage main for my whole life, but I decided to make a change finally. Which map do you reckon would be easier to learn next: Train or Overpass?
Overpass
Train is one of my fav maps, if you have people that know strats on T side its fun to play
honestly both overpass and train are kinda shit for soloqing with train being even worse. Not saying they are bad maps but if you don't have a good team that works together, it's difficult to carry. Overpass is the better one from them. If you soloq or pug a lot in general, cache is much easier to carry on and i personally find it fun as well. It's your choice in the end

Same I have been a mirage main for my entire time played (500+ hours), honestly it’s so annoying to learn. I feel like Dust 2 is just so basic and aim dependant; the angles are so tight that it favours Awps (take going A through short). I love Mirage because it’s large enough, complicated enough and loved enough to have a good solo q with a nice skill play between utilitie usage and gun play combined

Occasional 2 man short, rifle bottom mid to peek lower with smoke and flash - ez mid control and then long rush will have to care for flank and make it easier on A site player

Dust 2 is my favorite map. It seems like A is way easier to hold.

If your silver put a guy on goose peaking the blue sand bags they will legit walk in to your crosshair then put a olayer put holding a door put 1 car backing up goose and having ct then maybe put one long and that has a door and short
EDIT: if they push B then of course you need 2 players b this is for a control but if they suddenly push b just rotate via the positions you were hilding and boom win
How To Win On CT Side Dust2 (based on my experience on silver)
DON'T PEEK MID
improve your awp skills but don't overrely on them (Me and my friends have met alot of Silvers who can ace With an Awp on Close range but we can easily counter it By sacrafising someone and leaving the trade to our friend)
Flash before aggressing but don't do it every round
Use the S G 5 5 3 before its too late valve will fuck this weapon as hard
Also don't blame me if your CT Friend says ALL A And you get awped on Mid

Is it okay to contest long and leave 1 in pit and then have 2 guys take short mid round usually awp + rifle and then you have 1 long 2 short?
in theory it can work. usually with that type of play you end up with the awper pushing up and getting on the railing to take a shot and fall back while the rifler goes somewhere like car or something. the problem with that type of setup is 1 long with no support isn't unlikely to get traded if the Ts just walk out long late. Pit is great for getting a kill and delaying but getting 2-3 is very hard once you're isolated
smoke A long and stand within it. Trust me, you'll get an ace

Last game I played was dust2. T side was really good, but ct side made my teammates retarded and we lost an easy game - pushing and dying when there is absolutely no reason to. Heads up - I'm forever nova since I started playing, but I just hate how there is 80% of people in mm, who just don't get it that you have to play different on ct/t sides. I hate when people have gamesense of a potato. I have an aim of a potato probably and that is the reason I'm nova I guess, but teammates having no gamesense makes me angry, cause I feel like it is common sense.
This is why i keep telling my team mates to contest A Long as much as possible, but you have team mates that don't understand the game or the map (atleast in this subject) and even have the audacity to call you a noob. Why do you need to secure A long you might ask, it is to prevent them from pinning down whoever is guarding A site from A long + A Short and which can be bombarded with utilities from A long.
It still amazes me that alot of these players have been playing CS for more than 3 months and still doesn't understand the game.
How to win on CT side dust2: you can't
Good mid players on ct side use utilities to control mid.... you can make valuable calls without dying to mid rush that way

I would have mentioned that it's also a great option to counter push tunnels on B site if they are taking mid to B. Just like you short control on A. At least your cutting down the 5v2 situation.

What I struggle the most with as a short player is lower tunnel. I can control catwalk and mid and toss a smoke to lower tunnel but as soon as that smoke is over I usually get flanked. Any tips?
Short is a very hard place to defend, almost no defense as a ct for it. I think it would be better if you played site or ramp, instead of pushing short.
@@kirey5477 I have a friend who holds long from site with awp and he is pretty good at it (mge). However when they push both short and long at the same time he gets overwhelmed and that is why I hold short. Admittedly we started doing this at mg1 and maybe we need to change things up a bit, either two of us at site or 1 long and 1 site. Thanks!
It should be noted: have long or cat, but DONT GET BOTH. I hate getting pit control just to check my map and see a guy soloing deep cat when we don't need it just to die with no trade and give up A site for free

Can you make video on train t side
May be make a video about how to activate star players on your team. I have a team where we have 2 very good aimers/players.
Come up with a good default where you avoid dying for the first 30s and you double peek ct players.
Then you send two players to each corner of the map to get info and if they get a kill you make a play based on that.
So if you have good aimers make them entry on different sides of the map at the same time. This creates intense pressure on ct.
Once you have your entries, execute with nades.
And send one guy to hold your flank.
If you have any players that are good at clutching make them go in 3/4th in so they avoid dying and are always the last alive trade to clutch or do big economic damage.

3 people at long means easy cat pushes to get A control and easy B pushes.

When I was a silver, I already knew tactics and stuff, just improving my aim, game sense, etc. and once I had a team which would always go to the site the terrorists went the PREVIOUS round (and the terrorists were rushing one site every round too). It was frustrating ngl. Glad I am out of silver hell

True, but if you practice and learn his nade skills. You wouldn't always need a buddy behind your back. I'm an entry Fragger and die real quick, but I always make sure that the key locations around the map are into my team's control.

I’m sry but if 8 nades and two players ain’t enough to at least delay them B for a few seconds y’all are kinda trash. Plus the whole clip with the guy dry peaking mid with an m4 and not an awp just left me thinking. “Oh you’re that asshole....”
