- taking a look at a high faceit level 10 game (global++) and looking at what they do right and wrong in terms of long A control then comparing it to some more effective methods and things they should be doing. There's a point to be had here, long A is incredibly important. Controlling long A with 3 or more players is something that you should be doing when you have the chance.

Faceit lvl 10 just have better understanding of some basic things. They aren't much better at aiming or using utility than say a lvl 4-5.

if u look at some of these players profile, u see its around 3k elo. it maybe doesnt look too well but they would crush lvl 5 players.

not elo hell as boo explained about 20 times, the guy could’ve played close blue bin and waiting for team to push out and clear corner, anyone on the team should’ve been smoking corner, they shouldn’t have gone A 11 rounds, voo was saying while they all understand the game mechanics, they are lacking the execution of actually taking long, they aren’t playing it to the best of their ability.
@@hopscs2914 At that point they do play to the best of their ability though. It's just that their aim carries them through most of the time.
They just mixed up A with B, and just rushed A. I see no problems.

And all of the flashes land differently and are meant to do so. Blinding ct players on all the possible positions. It’s really interesting to see coordinated csgo like this.
@@Masheen I'm not a faceit level 10 but I don't think this is coordination, it's just players regurgitating lineups and there doesn't seem to be much communication and purpose for the flashes other than to throw them in abundance in the hope that CTs are flashed.
Its just nice for us to watch because people at our level don't use utility properly
@@omster_ It's quite the opposite. Low players tend to just spam flashes over the wall without knowing which position they are eliminating and who's going to be blind. Usually the flashes go the same place. You wan't to combine deep flashes with close flashes to eliminate all the positions. Xyp9x is throwing the deep flashes over the right wall to blind people who are on long. Magisk is behind him throwing flashes over the doors to blind people crossing to pit. There's obviously more coordinated examples than a fast long take but that's the difference with pros and lows. Every piece of utility has a purpose and is not thrown randomly. Also you have to keep in mind that Astralis is the best in the world when it comes to teamwork, their coordination comes naturally. Even if it just looks like a fast long take it's something that they've practiced countless times and know exactly what everyone is going to do.
@@Masheen Yeah of course, I wasn't talking about the pro play, maybe I've got dementia but I didn't see many variations in the level 10 demo from the guy/team we were spectating. For example in the 8 flash throw, they could change it up and throw 4 seperately purposed flashes, wait a bit, communicate with teammates and flash mid fight for Pit, smoke corner etc to cause the CTs problems that they may not have expected, Thatd be showing much more coordination than in the demo. Compared to the 8 flashes at the start where the CTs have been trained to anti flash their way to pit at the start of the round while throwing their own flashes

Great vid, for some reason I've never seen the basic flash off the double doors that the first player throws, I guess in silver nobody knows to get out of the doors to blue box at all. I've only ever seen the first player sit in the doors and take fights at the corner from there.
Its the same in LE

@@TheMusicalKnokcers Well, if you want to play pit have the long spawn cross with a ton on flashes, but if you don't get pit then the only way to fight long is to have the corner player call for flashes based on sound ques to catch them in the open, or you can jut give up long altogether.

It's one thing knowing how to theoretically take long but it's a whole other thing to actually do it in pugs with three russian mates who don't know the concept of an eco round.

It would be great to see a video where you show how to take advantage of the best spawns on each map. Even if I'm not playing on certain spot, if I have a good spawn I might try to peek, or play aggressive and see how it goes.
i know i'm a "bit" late but it's mainly decided whether there's a player closest to a or b but if there's no one in those spawns then the more people that are close to a specific site decides it
Bruh, my team agrees for a Rush B tec-9 play during eco round, but then when I give the B doors smoke and flash literally no one rushes with me ._. All of them just stay at back staring the wall.

As an eu player, there is Turkish counter-strat for the agressive ct long take... You basically just rush short. Jump suicide, and run catwalk like a super-sonic. One dude smokes x-box from t spawn early. Until ct’s understand what’s happening you are already on site, planting the bomb. And if ct’s start playing short early, you just go long. I mean, Turkish players are gods on dust2.
doesn't necessarily work all that well because you can easily adjust to players going fast cat. you should have your players crossing spot suicide (you can see it slightly over a cross smoke and the awper can't really see you if you do it right). if they're going heavy down suicide you can adjust your hold on A.
The way metas have shifted running down and straight out middle is also a really strong play. there's a lot of different things to do tbh
@@vooCSGO well the cat play is just alternative for the long A push (if you want to go A fast), as I said if you see that ct’s have started holding cat better, you again are going long and you still can just fake cat play, with only one dude going there (one player smokes x-box one smokes middle doors, if you worry about mid player), don’t forget that in perfect world, you still have your player tunnels (for the map control) and the rest of the team can take long. But it’s only “perfect world strats” when you get good spawns, you have good economy and your enemies play by your rules.
For every “strike” there is “counter-strike”.
Kind of of topic question: How to find csgo team? Where to look? (Obviously I’m talking about some amateur team, just to gain experience how it is to play in a team) I have got to level 10, about 2300 elo at the moment, but is the faceit grind still necessary?

Then when we get to tunnel I rush in with green and we kill one of 2 cts in there and we die, rest of the team shits their pants and camp in tunnel the rest of the round 🤦🤦

1 moly blue bin and 1 grenade after it and their long push is also ruined. If CTs really want they can just buy 3 molotovs and burn everythnig off so the Ts either don't have any visision to continue the push, hold on and then go out again or they just retreat after the first molotov landed. I was never a fan of early long pushes but if the Ts do it should be delayed because most of it is likley that 1 of the CTs will just rotate from long to mid/ct/A
on the condition they play 2 or 3 A long.
Could you make a video on how to be more proactive on CT side? My friends (teammates) pointed out that this is my biggest weakness.

You can rush anywhere in d2 thats the beauty of the map,just need proper utility usage and throw bodies

Your gamesense is to the point and you really have god like reflexes. You should play professional CS. Btw Voo any suggestions for me regarding of which videos to watch on your channel. Recently I started playing CS and I have nearly around 500 hours play time and I am struggling with my inconsistancy. @@HalfBloodBadger Definitive Guide to Improving is a pretty good video to start with of course. I don't have the mechanics to go pro, there's a big difference between faceit 10 and pro unfortunately, but I'm happy to be coaching semi-pro teams currently and maybe pro teams in the future :)

Hey voo, Im sick of this elo mathmaking thing and would like your help! I had ben stuck in silver 3 for 2 weeks and finally got to silver 4 i won about six matches with my friends and stayed in silver 4 then i lost one and stayed in silver4, after that i won a couple again and lost 1 again and then suddenly back to silver 3. Soemone or Voo please tell me on how the hell i get further or out off silver4/ silver.
I used to throw the corner smoke a while back and got shouted at by my teammates for doing so. I don't know why I listened to them but I don't throw it anymore

Yeah, that happened to me too, because the guy wanted to awp peek long while not even having a good spawn. It was in MM though, so it's expected.

Because they also buy util if you can't throw util then only buy armour
five seven is better than usp and if your team needs a smoke or a flash in the 1st round you have money to spare and can buy a five seven, just never buy a p250 as ct, its just useless, you better off buying a nade or defuse
@@zvEr348 why not buy dualies or cz instead of 57? those 2 seem more useful on pistol rounds
@@probablyapotato8956 cuz none of them have accuracy at long distance. There are cases where you can buy dualies when you hold very tight corners like nuke ramps for example, but cz just has too low magazine capacity to be viable, if you get 5 man rushed you will probably not kill more than one at best

I thought I was in elo hell cause I had 400matches lvl3, but my stats 1.5k/d, 54% hs and Im entry fragger so stats like that are good for a player who runs in with almost no flashes and about the utility I know many smokes flashes but I cant hold a site alone without support or just 5 rifles, but after 100 matches Im 100 elo away from lvl6 so there is elo hell, but you can get out of it, also carrying in lvl5 hehe. also Im solo queuing.

So if ELO hell doesn't exist, how exactly could players like that be in level 10, when there are much better players spread across all lower levels?
Not only that ELO hell exists (for people without premade teams) but also ELO heaven exists for players like the ones in the video.
Change my mind.
Because those "Better Players" spread across the lower levels aren't actually better. They might be better in a particular situation or aspect of the game but overall they are losing games for their teams instead of winning them.
Being good at CS means combining aim, movement, decision making, map knowledge, coordinating with people who might not be interested in it, and getting the most out of your teammates abilities while also performing adequately yourself.
You are playing against the same level of players that you have on your own team. Sometimes the talent in the server will be stacked against you but if you are consistently elevating your teams performance instead of dragging it down then you will win more then half your games.
You really can’t judge most players from one game dude, this T side was absolute chaos for sure but if they’re on faceit 10 I’m sure they’re not bad players overall.
Sometimes a team just doesn’t click, you pile on errors upon errors, people on your side tilt, you tilt, everyone starts losing focus and you lose round after round without much counterplay because of all that together.
Personally I think elo hell just doesn’t exist, you can always go back on a match and see countless mistakes that could have won you rounds here and there, which on the bigger picture could have given you the win.

Was level 4-5 for the longest time. Queued with my friend, we both got to level 8 real quick and on our way to level 10
@@aok9153 I mean whenever you solo queue you are 1 of 10 people in the server. So your ability to impact the outcome of a game is immediately less then if you can select 2 of the 10 players.
Naturally then the more players you can queue with the faster you can potentially rank up if those players are a net positive.
However if you are a positive impact on your teams ability to win games, then
even in solo queue you will be ranking up. It will simply take longer. This doesn't mean you won't lose games or go on losing streaks even at ranks below your skill level. It just means that over time you will get to the right rank.
And there are a lot of potential explanations for the above example not being a case of luck. (You play better with your friend, there was a string of good luck, your friend carried, or inspired better play out of your random teammates, they play positions well that are commonly misplayed.)
No if you're level 10 you've earned it you can't luck your way into level 10
