Poor Andy. It is always rough when little things spoil a big day. I am so glad it was able to be recovered and he has some fun memories (and a new hat).
This vlog feels like a real marker in Andy's progress Kev! So much improvement in him processing difficulties and changes and especially articulating how he feels about them and coming to a new arrangement with you. I'm sure you probably noticed in your editing but at 8:45 there's a lovely shot of Andy and the little girl next to him both enjoying the ride and exchanging glances, melts my heart. Keep up the great work and super videos.
Well down Andy it must be a relief for you and Anna Kev just shows he can control himself a lot better and stop himself from having melt down so happy for you all
I understand exactly what Andy is going through as I have aspergers. Been diagnosed with it now for about 5 years now. Not as severe as Andy but I want to say thank you for making these videos and thank you for making awareness.
Andy coped so well with all of the days challenges he has come such a long way since I first started watching the vlog (when Andy refused school) its amazing :-)
I just wanted to thank you. I've watched many of your videos, and not only the passion that you exibit for you're son, but the humanity that you show for him touches me. I have autism spectrum disorder and I have seen hardships in my life that I know he doesn't have to face due to your support. Thank you, and keep up the great work!
I know this was 6 years ago and I know you don't reply gawd knows if you read but I love that you recognise how he feels and what he needs and that you commend him and everyone for how well they aall did. Some channel/familys seem to just be constantly annoyed and frustrated by the behaviour and have zero undersranding of the reasons. You are family done right 💪
@@ezioauditoredafirenze9249 Is it really? Wow, thank you for clearing that up for me. I had no idea. Amazed I went this far in life without never having sweated before...
I have mild autism and ADHD I understand everything that goes on with Andy so it's really nice to find a UA-cam channel like you guys because not a lot of people understand or autism actually means and it's good that you guys explain it
I think Andy done absolutely amazing! Took our asder who’s 5 before you guys went and it was so hard don’t think we’ll go again anytime soon, was far to much for our little man. So I take my hat off to Andy and you guys ❤️ so glad I came across your channel!!
Hey! Ive heard that legoland has a newer sensory room/calm down space in one of their buildings at the park. I think you do need a specific accessibility pass, but im not sure. Just thought you could know for next time :)
well done Andy you really coped with the rubbish situations well a lovely vlog and I cried with Anna it was so sweet Andys face was a picture when he saw the London eye. much love to you all x
Well, I am glad everything worked out in the end! Andy is so handsome and hilarious! I love it! That was definitely HUGE that he got to see parts of London! I hope you all still had fun!
If Andy likes trains then you might want to check out Nene Valley, i think there is a Thomas The Tank Engine event early in July. Plus there is a direct route into Peterborough.
If you ever were to end up in holland with Andy we have something called “het spoorweg museum” here in Utrecht. it’s basically a museum full of trains an stuff like that. It’s quite interactive and really fun to go with kids. There’s also a couple of attractions. I think Andy would really like it!
Do you use the disabled queue when at theme parks? I do because I get very nervous if I have time to think about how the ride might fail!! Edit: not normally but yes for today! I hadn't watched the whole video before commenting! That'll teach me
Kev, just a tip, not sure if Andy would qualify given that he didnt for the ride access pass, but if youre considering getting Annual Passes again next year, you can get a Carer's Pass that has Andy's photo and name on, that allows anyone over the age of 14 to get in as long as hes there with you. Theyre also doing a new monthly system that works out less expensive.
this brings back memories from 2008 when we flew to the UK for a holiday - we went and wet windy winters day and didnt have to line up for just about anything
Hi kev if you want to take andy on a short break some where near the sea you could go to parklands in hemby norfolk it has a miniture railway and is about five minutes from the beach my sister has downs syndrome and autism and she loves it
well done andy ,every little thing is a celebration isn't it .a new word,a calm day out seeing a understanding of something ect 😘😘 how did andy do in mainstream school
If Andy likes getting his own pop, then maybe try Pizza Hut or even Nando’s! I’m autistic too and I know how annoying it is for you when it goes wrong so well done Andy you did brilliant!
Watching this brought many memories from my childhood and it made me a bit sad for Amy. This is coming from the perspective of a sister with a sibling with mental disability. We had a blended family like yours, where my brother is thei child from my stepmom. Like Andy he’d also have meltdowns etc. and my parents would always be a big on edge (even though they tried to hide their anxiety from us with awkward smiles) of whether he was going to break down. I remember feeling pushed aside bc all attention were on him and my parents (although not intentional and I know that they didn’t mean to do it) focused much of the trip about making him as comfortable as possible. My stepmom’s focus has always been on my brother which I was completely fine with and understood, we had a more “friend” dynamic relationship (we both considered ourselves family but we both understood I was not her daughter and she was not my mother if that makes any sense). So in a way these family events made me feel like an outsider. I was just there. Want to be clear that I knew and understood the situation and never complained and was actually happy to help/support my family as we tried to have a “normal” family day trip. I’m not sure what I’m trying to say with this post but just a perspective from another child who comes from a family with a special needs kids.
I know how hard it is for you to cope with meltdowns and Andy having Autism because my little brother has ADHD and deaf and when he doesn't get what he wants he goes in meltdown.
I remember one time when I went to Edinburgh Zoo when I was 11, there was this road train that gives you a tour around the zoo, but the main part was closed off due to maintenance on the road and I kicked off and got upset because I wanted it to go around that area. I don't know why I did it though! lol😂
What a fun video. My favorite part was how sweet Andy was by politely saying "No, thank you." To both offers of coming back and going on the London Eye 😂💛 You could tell he definitely didn't favor the idea but was incredibly kind about it.
Have you seen the pirate show at Lego land ?? I’m so proud or you Andy my brother is autistic and if that had happened he would have melted down straight away xx well done xx 💜💙
Hope you had a great day! Have you guys been to Madame Tussaud’s? It’s great I went for my birthday yesterday and myself having autism found it great! I know I have completely different autism to him but I thought if you guys tried it out did he cope well or if you are going to try it out will you take Andy? I went to celebrate my birthday 🎁 I did have a few wobbles but what am I gonna do❤️ anyway hope you have a brilliant day!

Kevin Chapman new managers trying to change up the hotel so it for people staying in the hotel only so bricks hasn't been open for lunch this season the amount of complaints we have had is silly
Andy did so well regarding the circumstances and looked like he was enjoying lots of the rides especially the boats.

have u tried putting pictures of london and london landmarks around the house andy might ask to go there one day maybe?
