Absolutely loved the vlog! We have a child with Autism and loved the iggle piggle part. We too, still try and make our child queue and learn the social skills he needs in life even though we use the ride access on occassions when its needed. A lovely family and so glad you had fun x
Just saying as an autistic person, forcing your child to queue doesn't help him learn social skills, it can make them mask which can be a very tiring experience. Just a little advice, I'm not mad
I have seen so many of Kevin's videos now and I have never seen Andy react as positively and with as much excitement as he did with the In The Night Garden ride.
So sorry about your car , but another great video and love seeing Andy so excited to go on the midnight in the garden ride ,hope I remembered that correctly lol
Awww...I wanna give Andy a great big hug! What a great sport he was! I know how it is to have to wait and have aching feet as well! It's great that this family continues to expose Andy to 'everyday' activities! Look how well he has handled everything!
Kev u r rly inspirational I hope that u love ur love and remember don’t let anything or body put u down ur amazing just the way u are Kevin-fun,inspirational,funny,happy,great dad Anna-great mum, amazing, helpful, strong willed Amy-fun,funny,caring,great sis, amazing, powerful Andy, funny, adorable, cute, amazing, great Vlogger Lucy-great sis, kind, caring, funny, fun, fun, funny
You should take Andy on wicker man! It's a bit fast, but it's essentially just like the runaway minetrain. However, if you're not in the disabled queue there is a very long queue and a very loud room and docking station! If you manage to get him the pass, when you get to the front of the disabled queue, you can ask to skip the loud bit and go straight to the ride and you're essentially boarded immediately and they're very nice and helpful. There is a bit of fog though (but it's just water mist) maybe he could watch a video of it?
The staff member on the entrance was me to CBeebies land was great to see this video after I saw you guys, I then went back to Night Garden and saw you again when you queued. Was great to see you had a great day
For future reference if Andy can't cope with the queue there is a cabin on the far right of the ticket booths that deals with tickets for people with disabilities and stuff (it's seperate to the place for disability fast passes which is inside the park). I'm disabled and get my tickets from the far right cabin and I'm sure they'd be very happy to have you guys buy your tickets there. :)
We took my autistic brother to CBeebies land and he absolutely loved it my brother is about the same age as Andy and everyone seems to look like ‘why is there a 13 year old boy in CBeebies land’ at us
I’ve learned to ignore those looks at this point - there’ll always be people who don’t understand, but they’re not doing any harm so I just don’t see them
I’m gonna be honest I love that you waited in the queue for in the night garden and not went with the disabled queue because some people take advantage of it. And (my personal opinion) if I was disabled I would want to be treated like everyone else and wait like everyone else. This for me would prove that I’m a “normal person” and I don’t need to be treated differently.
I’ve always wanted to wait in the main queues and I have done that once on a meet and greet day. Although I can get loads of rides in, I don’t like being treated differently like others. When I grow up and go to these parks with my friends I will probably wait in the main queue. But loads of my friends just want to keep going with me because of the disabled pass, so I don’t really mind.
Ye i get that but i have mild autism myself but im 14 so i want to go on smiler and nemisis and things like that and when the ques are massive its great to go in the short que and i still feel like everyone else still and no one takes advatige off having a disability pass. Some of us like myself cant keep still or cant walk for that long and have no choice but to go in the small que
i mean for some disabilities its not possible to wait in the normal queue. sometimes even the disabled queue is too long to wait in. i cant stand for long it causes me a lot of pain and sometimes i need to sit on the floor even in the disabled queue so without disabled pass i wouldnt be able to go at all
That sucks about your car. :( I’m so glad Andy such a big break through day! Those are the most uplifting! I had never heard of Alton towers and had to look it up. I love watching your vlogs and escaping the states. :)
11:19 Smooth 😂 interesting take on the queueing situation, never thought about it as some social training sort of thing. Big mistake walking through the gardens, we once thought it would be a nice shorcut to Thirteen from Nemesis, half an hour later we regret our decision haha
Maybe it would be an idea to get the ride access pass, but not bother using it on the Cbeebies rides? Sorry about your car by the way, I'm still only 20 minutes in so I don't know what's happened yet.
Hey Kevin, Glad Andy and the family had an amazing time. Just thought id mention the Iggle Piggle and Upsie Daisy meet and greet inthe yellow and blue tent in Big fun show time. Its at 11am and 3pm everyday if andy ever wants to meet them. (I work there on weekends) all the best xx
I hate to break it to you Kev but we didn't even see the car at the beginning of the vlog because you started the vlog when you lot started walking :( But i do hope you get it fixed!!!!!!! Great vlog today Kev - I can't wait for the (many) Through Andy's Eyes videos
Andy without a hood in a public place is always a good thing to see. I'm watching this in hope that he goes on the 10 rides he agreed to :D Edit: Omg, look how much he loved that in the night garden ride. As for the toy shop, did you have to remortgage your house to deal with the financial damage? xD! Edit2 : Finished watching, brilliant day for him! That must have been so hard, as it's such a long day being out in public :D What a little trooper.
My brother has high functioning autism and because his gp letter is over two years old he is unable to skip the queues. Which is extremely unfortunate. But because he is now older he has learnt some good coping methods. But it does stop us from going on the longer queue lines.
Great vlog there is nothing worse then coming back to your car and someone does that to it I hope you get it sorted. Looking forward to seeing Andy's eyes ones two.
fair enough. I don't have this issue now. I think my youngest bro thought it was fab not having to queue for stuff. I have 3 older bro's but i'm the only one in the family diagnosed with Aspergers x
This park kinda reminds me of Cedar Point or Sixflags. But has a monorail like Disney. Wow super cool! Cedar Point is a theme park in Ohio for those in the UK who might not know. I heard Alton Towers has been around a pretty looong time.
It might help in the future but I don't know if you know you can get ride access passes which skips all the line, it's for disabilities and I use it as I've got autism it really helps me and calms me down!
i went here today and crapped myself on the runaway mine train the first time it took us round 3 times instead of 2 and i went on it 5 times 😂 crapped myself 3 times out of the 5 😂
Do you guys have to queue as normal? At alton towers you can get a special wristband if you have autism so you skip all queues. Look into it if you haven’t already
I hope you all had a lot of fun there. I am not able to go to parks like that due to my autism spectrum. I don't like the rides and I can't be around crowds of people. I have a really hard time going to the stores early in the morning
How brave was Andy wow those rapids and so sad re your car how could some one do that and not leave details i would thing they would be family people o well karma will catch them love the vid thank you cudos to andy
Hey guys, my brother has autism which basically gives us disabled access. If you go to the Upgrades shop near the entrance of the park, With your disabled persons paper work, and blue card (Showing the disability of the person + photo) , drivers licence (if you have one to show the that you are the parent) and ect will get you through queues easily. There are terms though; - A paper they give you with the wristband is signed with the time you got on that ride, Giving you a 25 minute wait, until you can go on a ride within disabled access. (Luckily a few staff don't sign the paper and you can easily jump back on without a problem). - Must be a person on the ride with them. I forgot a few other minor things but doesn't matter. This only works throughout the merlin entertainment system including Legoland, Thorpe park, The dungeons, Sealife, you know the drill. But... i think they all come under different little rules. Make sure you take these next time and make the most of your experience!
Speak to Alton Towers security about the bump on your car. There are camera's all over the resort and will be able to track where it happened! Best of luck
Looks like you had a great day. (A part from the end bit👎🏻👎🏻) Andy did so well. I can’t go into busy places without my ear defenders on. cos of my ASD I’m seriously sound sensitive. Hope you’re not all to tired today. X
Future Kev shaking his head at past Kev had me dying haha
Yeah, Future Kev wasn't amused...
Same
That place looks amazing! What a super fun day! Good job to Andy for drinking all that water and wearing a hat. :) :)
Your son took the right route when going through the gardens. Dont underestimate him as a navigator 😄
Absolutely loved the vlog! We have a child with Autism and loved the iggle piggle part. We too, still try and make our child queue and learn the social skills he needs in life even though we use the ride access on occassions when its needed.

I agree its amazing but it might scare him alittle
OK it is the start of the vlog and I am 23 and jealous of the In The Night Garden ride.. I wish I could go

The staff member on the entrance was me to CBeebies land was great to see this video after I saw you guys, I then went back to Night Garden and saw you again when you queued. Was great to see you had a great day
I saw you just outside of the runaway mine train, it's nice to see happy vloggers locally!
Bless him, lovely to see him so happy!

Amazing to see the difference from last years Alton towers vlog. Well done Andy 🙌🏼
gosh he’s so fricken adorable and his accent and lisp make it even better!!!!
AGH!!! hahahaha!!!
God Bless All, Amen.!!!!
That sucks about your car. :( I’m so glad Andy such a big break through day! Those are the most uplifting!
I had never heard of Alton towers and had to look it up. I love watching your vlogs and escaping the states. :)
Just been to Alton towers again and loved it. When I was a kid I used to go round Alton towers the exact same way love it😂
Kristophison it’s amazing

Oh, and does Andy like zoos or have I dreamt that up? If so, Chessington would probably be a good idea.

I was just at Alton towers for a trip it was absolutely quality! 🤙🏼 just a bit expensive 🏴
We took my little brothers to the cebebies hotel and they loved it definitely should take Andy
My brother has high functioning autism and because his gp letter is over two years old he is unable to skip the queues. Which is extremely unfortunate. But because he is now older he has learnt some good coping methods. But it does stop us from going on the longer queue lines.
Love this vlog! So much fun. We just did Disney World with SO much success so want to get to more parks with our boys 👍🏼
I went to Alton towers on the 8th August it was so fun I did NOT go to CBeebies land though great vid like always Kev
HOPE your car gets fixed
You went on my birthday
@@samijohnstone7407 nice happy b day for the 8th of August
Great vlog there is nothing worse then coming back to your car and someone does that to it I hope you get it sorted. Looking forward to seeing Andy's eyes ones two.
Wow looks a fun day! I have Aspergers Syndrome. Mum made sure when we went to chessington as a kid I could skip the queues!
We deliberately don't do that to help Andy learn to queue.
fair enough. I don't have this issue now. I think my youngest bro thought it was fab not having to queue for stuff. I have 3 older bro's but i'm the only one in the family diagnosed with Aspergers x
I love Alton towers every summer I go for a couple days with an annual pass
ur so lucky you were close to the entrance. we were walking for bloody 30 minutes 😂😂.
ItzzzDemon ikr
I saw u at Alton towers and I felt nervous to come over lol
I have went to Alton Towers like 11 times and we go on so many rides
Has Andy heard of the CBeebies ride called The Smiler I think he’d like that
hehe 😉
This park kinda reminds me of Cedar Point or Sixflags. But has a monorail like Disney. Wow super cool! Cedar Point is a theme park in Ohio for those in the UK who might not know. I heard Alton Towers has been around a pretty looong time.
I was there on the 19th too it was a nice hot day also whent in to the garden's and i got lost 😂
It was great to see Andy's progress.
That rapid looks like so much fun!
Been waiting all day for this☺️✨
Loved this vlog!
Great Vlog guys I'm glad you had fun! 😁
EDIT: OMG I just realised that I went on the same day as you but I didn't go in cbeebies land 😊
Do you think Andy would ever like to visit The Cadbury Chocolate Factory? 😊 glad to see you all had a great & sunny time
I doubt it, but never say never
Callum LTFC I've been there it was amazing brilliant experience
Loved this video glad u had an amazing time
This family is so strong I love it ly all ❤️💙❤️😍
Omg I seen you there but I didn't know you done youtube at the time 😁😁
It might help in the future but I don't know if you know you can get ride access passes which skips all the line, it's for disabilities and I use it as I've got autism it really helps me and calms me down!
I commented this just before you said about the disabled pass 😂😂
You are wonderful parents
There’s a facility there at Alton towers where if you have some sort of disability u can get a queue jump so you don’t have to wait for long
You can book a friends and family ticket in advance if you go again before your passes expire, it’s a lot cheaper, think you just call and book it
I’m going here soon I’m so excited I’m gonna get on everything except the small rides I’m a thrill seeker and enjoy the bigger rides.
Miles Thompson , you’ll love the smiler and wicker man then , they are both really fast and great for thrill seekers
Awesome to watch have last of fun😀😁😊
Thank you
i went here today and crapped myself on the runaway mine train the first time it took us round 3 times instead of 2 and i went on it 5 times 😂 crapped myself 3 times out of the 5 😂
Do you guys have to queue as normal? At alton towers you can get a special wristband if you have autism so you skip all queues. Look into it if you haven’t already
We explained in the video why we choose not to do that
Kevin Chapman ah sorry missed that bit! Fair enough
Andy made my night
At the start me and my family usually get refillable cups at the right when u walk in
4:38 bless him
I hope you all had a lot of fun there. I am not able to go to parks like that due to my autism spectrum. I don't like the rides and I can't be around crowds of people. I have a really hard time going to the stores early in the morning

I just went there last Sunday I went on Rita. Omg I am scarred for life lol
Sorry, I know this is an old vlog but wanted to say. I am now gone online shopping for palazzo pants like Amy's. They're awesome :D
Hey guys, my brother has autism which basically gives us disabled access. We choose note to do this to give Andy experience with queuing.
If u go to doctors with him u can get a pass that gives u ten fast past rides always help me as I get nervous in ques
Awh Andy is just best❤️
I'm SO proud of Andy ❤️
Anna is so happy again, what a joy to be around
you guys deserve more subs
ahhh my back!
language! hahah andy
You should go again this year, the CBeebies land rides seem to have not as long queues as 2018
THIS WAS POSTED ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I'm happy and open to say that I have Autism myself.
This is just a suggestion but maybe can you make a video of every picture and video Andy has taken on his Nintendo DS or Camera
Happy you had fun andy
I was there on the same day and saw you ,there was practically no cues at all .
lovely to see Andy happy. am concerned about Anne's foot - what is the problem?
She was born with a tethered spinal cord - her foot is a result of that
Omg I went the same day as you and I saw you but I didn't know for sure I have autism and Alton towers is a great place to go
Winker man ride? Andy will love it
24:44 I’m at the theme park with my scout group
I love Alton towers it’s so fun
Looks like you had fun. Xx
Speak to Alton Towers security about the bump on your car. There are camera's all over the resort and will be able to track where it happened! Best of luck
I am going there in a few days I am so excited
Love your channels ❤️
ong he is so cute and amazing i love you guys.xxxxxx
Looks like you had a great day. (A part from the end bit👎🏻👎🏻) Andy did so well. I can’t go into busy places without my ear defenders on. cos of my ASD I’m seriously sound sensitive. Hope you’re not all to tired today. X
Andy is like that in most places, but theme parks and fun fairs are places he makes an exception for!
